’Is she angry at me by any chance for not informing her before departing to Morbal?’

Was it just his imagination, or did she push him away repeatedly earlier before turning around?

Ferdinand wrapped his arms around Arabella again since his hold had loosened.

"Hmm..." Arabella seemed to stir and tried to undo his embrace.

Ferdinand frowned and tightened his hold instead. He stared at her knowing from her breathing and the beating of her heart that she was sound asleep.

Somehow, it irked Ferdinand that she was undoing his embrace even in her sleep. Was she that angry at him that she would remember it even in her sleep?

Or was he just overinterpreting things again?

Ferdinand gulped.

He did not want to overinterpret things again since he just made an embarrassment of himself last time after he panicked and did and said all sorts of things.

After what happened last time due to this tendency of his, Ferdinand was still so embarrassed about it. Thus, he was not into making himself a joke again.

Ferdinand reminded himself not to overthink. However, after Arabella’s next actions, he could not remain calm anymore.

Arabella turned around and pushed against his chest to free herself from his embrace.

"Arabella, are you awake?" Ferdinand inquired but there was no response. She just kept pushing at his chest or trying to remove his arm around her.

When she did not succeed, her brows furrowed. And all of a sudden, she kicked him.

"...."

Ferdinand blinked repeatedly, at a loss for words for a few seconds and just gawked at his wife.

Arabella just kicked him on the legs. And judging by how she did it, she was trying to push him away with her feet.

’Is she having a nightmare?’

He simply could not fathom why his sweet and gentle wife would kick him.

"Arabella?" Ferdinand tried to call out again but received more kicks and push this time.

Arabella almost even kicked his groin, but Ferdinand was able to catch her feet before it landed.

’That was dangerous. The human body is so weak. What if I lost my ability to father a child in this body? I still cannot sleep with Arabella in my original body until at least a year or two after giving her some more of my mana.’

Ferdinand panicked at that and finally set her free. He could not allow this body to be unable to sire. What if Arabella suddenly wanted children soon? He did not want to be incapable. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

"Hmm..." Arabella sighed in contentment once she was free.

It irked Ferdinand so he got out of bed and stared at her with his arms folded across his chest.

She kicked and pushed him away and yet, she sighed in satisfaction! How could she be so mean?

Ferdinand pursed his lips and wanted to punish her a bit. Especially since she just continued sleeping soundly despite what she did. Was she even aware of what she did to him?

Or perhaps, she was truly angry at him about something? But her face did not look angry at all.

As Ferdinand continued pondering about it, Arabella moved again and removed the sheets covering her.

’She’s drenched in sweat!’

Ferdinand was alarmed when he saw Arabella’s nightgown sticking to her body because she was sweating a lot. It was a hot and tempting sight and his groin immediately reacted.

However, Ferdinand was still rational.

Arabella was sweating a lot and it made him worry that she might be sick. He touched her forehead and her body was hotter than it should be. Thankfully, it was not because of a fever.

It was likely due to the thick layers of sheets they were covered with earlier. Plus, Ferdinand was embracing her.

’I can’t let her continue sleeping in this drenched nightgown. What if she got sick due to this?’

Ferdinand thought of ripping it apart but Arabella might scold him in the morning. She liked this nightgown a lot. She had worn it several times even though she had a lot of nightgowns that she would not have to repeat wearing anything for more than a year.

Thus, instead of using brute force, Ferdinand chanted a magic spell and removed her clothes without disturbing her or ruining the nightgown.

He was wide-eyed when Arabella’s naked body greeted him after the spell. He was so set on undressing her so that she would not stay in her soaked clothes, that he ended up chanting to remove everything.

Now, she was stark naked and he was holding all her clothes.

Ferdinand gulped as Arabella’s scent filled the room much stronger since she just sweated a lot and was now naked.

Arabella was even so tempting in the way she lay in bed. It was so unfair that she was driving him crazy like this even in her sleep.

Ferdinand could not peel his eyes off of her beautiful body. She always looked so gorgeous in her dresses but Ferdinand still preferred her naked like this.

He glanced at his now raging hard-on and gulped once again. His throat suddenly felt so dry. He wanted to touch Arabella. Kiss her lush lips. Lavish her whole body.

Ferdinand’s imagination began to grow wild. When he noticed the sweat trickling down Arabella’s nape, before he knew it, he leaned in and licked it.

’Sweet and a bit salty,’ he licked his lips and was about to go for another but shook his head.

’No. I should dry her body with a towel,’ Ferdinand controlled himself and with much difficulty turned around to retrieve a towel for her.

But it was even more difficult wiping her body as gently as he could to dry her sweat.

The worst was, of course, trying to control his lust. He was dying to hold her and ravish her, but Arabella was sleeping so soundly.

Thus, he just dried her body and retrieved a thinner sheet to cover her. She might get sick if she slept naked without any covers.

Moreover, he would not survive till morning if he kept gazing at her nakedness.

Thus, since Arabella clearly felt hot, Ferdinand retrieved a thin blanket and covered her with it, discarding the thick sheets covering her earlier.

Of course, not without ogling at her for a bit first.
