Arabella had to wonder about all sorts of things.

She needed to earn Alwin’s trust a little bit more so he would at least let her have magic items she could use on her own.

After all, even if she asked Ferdinand for some, if Alwin points out the dangers of it, Ferdinand would not allow her to have any magic items either. Only these communication and summoning rings would be allowed.

"Are they already teaching you about teleportation?" Arabella inquired at Dimo.

"No. Not yet. But I read about a lot of magicians in storybooks being able to teleport. I want to learn about it too," Dimo explained.

Arabella and Rendell slowly nodded their head in understanding as they recalled that Alwin had prohibited everyone in the Magic Tower from teaching Dimo too advanced magic. So, of course, Dimo was not taught about teleportation yet.

"I read story books that said powerful magicians know how to teleport. I want to be a powerful magician so I want to learn teleportation too. One story that I read said that..." Dimo began retelling her what he had read from storybooks when he was younger.

Arabella seated herself and patted the space beside her so Dimo would sit too. He obediently did as he continued retelling her the stories he had read that had teleporting magicians.

"Seeing it in person is so amazing," Dimo’s eyes shined with enthusiasm and curiosity. He was indeed a magician through and through.

It was no wonder Alwin agreed to teach him. He must have been reminded of his younger self.

"I can sense mana more clearly now, so I know if it was a teleportation spell," Dimo bragged and he had the right to do so. Because even Rendell was surprised.

[He can already sense what kind of spell was activated?! He had such a keen sense for mana. It wasn’t long since he began learning magic too.] Rendell eyed Dimo with amazement and curiosity.

Arabella couldn’t help herself but smile proudly. Perhaps, this was why she encountered Dimo on the road while they were on the way to Medeus.

Perhaps, Dimo was never meant to live such a dark life. He deserved so much better in life and seeing him this happy and excited made Arabella smile too.

She would indeed not allow Dimo to have a dark life as he did in their past one.

Arabella may not be able to do anything much right now since her power and influence are still weak, but she would do her best so she could protect Dimo in every way possible.

"I want to be able to teleport like that someday too," Dimo looked so cute as he thought about it with such a positive and dreamy look in his eyes. He still saw the world as one with so many possibilities to offer to him. And hopefully, this will remain for the years to come.

"Yes. I’m sure you will be able to teleport once you grow up," Arabella assured him.

She knew it was for sure because it was one of the forms of magic Dimo first learned for survival in their past life. And he learned it without any teacher.

"Really? Your Majesty believes that I can?" Dimo’s eyes brightened up even more and he stared at her with such innocent and adorable eyes. He visibly wanted her to say yes and be complimented more.

Arabella could not help but wish Dimo’s eyes could remain this way forever.

The eyes he had when she first met him in their past life were dark, cold, and unemotional like he had already repeatedly died inside but still walked alive.

Back then, Dimo’s survival instincts were so strong because of his hunger for revenge. Thus, he kept himself alive no matter what. But he was too scared to show any sign of weakness or emotion to anyone since it could be exploited.

But this time, here he is still young and lively.

Arabella reached out and gently patted his head, "Yes, of course! So you should eat more and grow healthy and strong."

"Yes. Yes, I will eat lots and lots more. I will grow healthy and strong like your mage and your knight, Your Majesty. I want to be one of your magicians someday!" Dimo said right on time when Alwin reappeared.

Dimo did not even realize that what he just said would be so difficult to achieve. The power of a magician and the strength of a knight were two different things.

But Dimo looked so determined so Arabella didn’t dissuade him. Having big goals would be good for the child. It would help him aim high and achieve great things.

Alwin frowned at Arabella though and said, [What had you been saying to the child while I was gone for just a bit?]

He looked like he wanted to give her a long scolding but held it in since Dimo was here.

Still, the way his brows were arching said it all. She did not even need to further listen to his thoughts for confirmation.

[Huh?! What are you talking about? You are misunderstanding things. Dimo said that on his own. I didn’t ask him or anything.]

Arabella quickly clarified since Alwin was giving her reproachful looks as if she had done something evil again.

He was assuming Arabella gave the boy the idea so she could use his abilities to do whatever she pleased in the future since he did not want to teach her.

At least though, he no longer thought that she would use it to commit evil deeds. He thought that she wanted it just so she could try experimenting on things or learning from Dimo secretly once he was good enough to be able to teach.

Not believing her words, Alwin ignored her explanation and simply bent down to speak with Dimo.

"Being Her Imperial Majesty’s magician is very dangerous.

A lot of people target the Empress, so you will be in danger countless times.

You might even need to protect her with your life.

It’s not an easy task, so you better find something else to do."

Alwin tried to dissuade Dimo.

Hi everyone!

I’m so sorry for the sudden hiatus. It was very long too.

As you already know, I got sick last November. But just two or three weeks passed and I got sick again.

It began a few days before Christmas celebrations and only ended last January 15th. It was so terrible. I was taking medicine straight for so long.

I simply went out to buy groceries and removed my mask for a few minutes, but I got sick much worse than the first. So, please, be careful everyone.

I had to recuperate and lay low after I got better, so I can only publish again now. Take good care of your health, everyone.

Health is wealth indeed. And we only realize it when we begin feeling weaker. Lol. I probably sound like your grandma.

Thank you very much for waiting for me to return!

Don’t worry, I will continue writing this.

I am very much grateful for your patience and continued support!
