Alice Turner’s departure was so sudden that everyone initially didn’t believe it was real. As time slowly passed and she didn’t appear, people gradually began to accept that she was gone.

No one knew where she had gone, nor could they find any information about her.

Lily Turner had become quite subdued during this period, her smile less frequent than before, and she seemed somewhat distracted while doing things.

"Honey! How do you want to spend the Spring Festival?" With the Spring Festival approaching, his wife seemed gloomy, and Easton Holmes felt distressed and pained as he looked at her. He wanted to seize the festival as an opportunity to change her mindset and bring her back to her former happy state.

Lily tilted her head and looked at the man sitting beside her, saying dully, "However you want to spend it, I’ll just follow your lead."

Her sister had been gone for more than a month, nearly two months, yet there was still no news of her. She didn’t even have the mood to celebrate the New Year.

"How about we go to Golden Morning with Grandfather to celebrate the New Year with Uncle and them?" Easton extended his arm to embrace the listless Lily in his arms. Leaving here might divert her attention, but he wasn’t sure if she would go with him.

Lily looked up, puzzled, at the man holding her. "Is Grandfather going to Golden Morning for the New Year? I didn’t hear Grandfather mention it."

"Grandfather told me if the two of us want to go, he’ll go with us. If we don’t go, he won’t either." Every year, Michael Linton would traditionally bring Serena Zimmerman and Athena Linton to Flame City to celebrate the New Year with Callix Linton. To divert Lily’s attention, Easton wanted to break from that tradition and take her and Grandfather to Golden Morning for the New Year.

Lily didn’t know this, and hearing what Easton said, she understood it as Callix Linton going to Golden Morning every year for New Year. With that understanding, she didn’t think much of it and nodded in agreement, "Let’s go to Golden Morning with Grandfather and celebrate the New Year with Uncle and them."

She felt it was best to adhere to family rules; she shouldn’t neglect them just because she was a new daughter-in-law.

"Alright, I’ll go and tell Grandfather that we’ll accompany him to Golden Morning." Seeing her agree, Easton sighed in relief internally. As long as she was willing to step out, he was confident about making her happy again.

Unaware of the real situation, Lily didn’t question the truth of Easton’s words at all. She started to be concerned about how many days they would be visiting. "How many days are we staying at Golden Morning?" 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

She had to know to pack appropriately and not find herself caught off guard.

"Four, five days." Five days was the limit of Easton’s vacation. He wasn’t comfortable leaving Lily in Golden Morning and returning alone. Only when she stayed by his side did he feel at ease.

"Oh." Lily simply responded with a soft "oh," then said no more and leaned her head against his chest, silently conveying depth in her silence.

Easton glanced down at the woman leaning against him, just about to speak when she suddenly sat up straight, looking at him with surprise. Her sudden action startled him, "What’s wrong?"

Just moments ago, she seemed dismal, and in less than a second, she was looking at him with delight. He couldn’t share her joy, only feeling worried.

"It moved! It moved!" Lily raised her hand to point at her swollen belly, exclaiming joyfully.
