Primordial Law Codex: I can manipulate heavenly laws
Chapter 20: An artist and her art!
Seeing a lady in battle armor appear before the demon tree, the three old men’s expressions turned cold.
The short one among them stepped forward and asked calmly, "Young friend, we discovered this place first and we even set up a formation around this area to shorten the ripening time of the hundred beast blood fruit. I hope you respect and understand our efforts."
Sera nodded. "I am not blind and I appreciate your efforts. Thank you."
The short old man smiled as he squinted his eyes. "So young friend won’t turn back?"
Sera pointed at several dried up human carcasses among the pile of bodies scattered on the clearing and asked, "Why don’t you stop these humans when they walked inside this formation?"
The old man glanced at the human remains and said indifferently, "Why should we? Anyway, it was not us who killed them. It was the tree demon. We were just bystanders."
Sera nodded with a thoughtful expression. "Quite reasonable. Setting up a formation that will hypnotize living beings and lure them to be food for a demon, all for selfish motives. But still, you guys are reasonable."
Another old man with a bald head sneered, "Big brother, why waste time explaining to this bitch? Let’s just take her down and we will have a taste of her juicy body after collecting the fruits."
The other silent old man also licked his lips as he fixed his eyes on Sera’s curvy figure.
Sera tilted her head. The next second, the soil below the three old men’s feet stirred for a moment and as though it had come to life, it wrapped around the three old men, turning them into clay statues.
Sera looked emotionlessly at the three statues and snapped her fingers. Suddenly, the fire elemental qi around the three statues condensed into molten lava and covered them.
After five minutes, three baked old men statues with sneering expressions frozen on their faces appeared before the young lady.
...
Leon’s mouth twitched when he saw the young lady nodding as though she was an artist and the three statues made of baked living humans before her were her art piece.
"Leo, you can come down. These guys are not as strong as I expected. They died pretty quickly." Sera turned around to look at Leon’s face, expecting to see his scared expression.
But to her disappointment, Leon just nodded without much fluctuation in his expression and jumped down from the tree. Yet as soon as his feet touched the ground, root tendrils broke out from the ground and rushed towards him at an astonishing speed, ready to suck him dry.
Leon’s expression changed. Just as he was ready to turn around and run as fast as he could, Sera lifted her foot and stomped down.
As her feet touched the ground, the water qi spread out and with a crackling sound the entire ground was frozen in a layer of ice, including the root tendrils.
Leon took a sharp intake of air at the incredible display of power before him. Although he had heard that elemental cultivators were very strong and they could even take on an entire army with just a few spells, he never expected them to be this strong.
Just tilt your head and three old men at the copper realm turned into clay statues. Just snap your finger and the clay statues became baked statues. Just stomp down with your foot and the ground turned into frozen land.
Seeing the unreadable look on Leon’s face, Sera asked curiously, "You don’t seem bothered by the fact that I just killed three humans. Don’t you have any opinion about me?"
Leon thought about it and said with some hesitation, "You are awesome, I guess."
Sera’s mouth twitched. "I am not asking for a compliment. Don’t you feel I am cruel or anything?"
Leon just shrugged. "You are definitely kinder than me, so I don’t have the qualification to judge you."
Sera clicked her tongue, thinking that Leon was too scared to criticize her.
"Forget it. The formation covering this place has already dispersed after the three idiots died. You are free to go," Sera said matter of factly.
Leon returned the guarding formation plate she had given him previously , and without any hesitation turned around, intending to escape this place as soon as possible.
"Wait." Just then the young lady thought of something and called out.
When Leon turned around, five of the red fruits floated from the tree and hovered before him.
"They are hundred beast blood fruits at the copper grade. You are too weak to use one fully, but taking a small bite at a time won’t be a problem. Just be cautious. Due to their higher grade, it will be hard for your body to absorb them. If you eat more than what you can handle, you might even explode from the strong essence released by the fruit," Sera said seriously.
Leon looked at the fruits floating before him and then at the beautiful eyes staring at him. "I don’t think I have done anything worth for you to just give me such a valuable treasure."
Sera waved her hand nonchalantly. "Take it. Consider it a meeting gift."
Leon nodded in understanding and bowed his head. "Thank you."
Then, without even looking back, he bolted into the forest as though dogs were chasing after him.
...
"This pretty boy is interesting. Even after seeing three humans literally cooked alive, there was not even a slight variation in his heartbeat. He is too calm for a tribal boy." Just then the maid appeared beside the young lady out of nowhere and said thoughtfully.
The young lady waved her hand and the remaining red fruits on the tree floated down and entered her storage ring.
"This guy is indeed not as simple as he looks. Before, when I tried to cast a spirit spell on him, I felt as though a sharp spear has shattered my spell. This would have been impossible given how chaotic and minimal his spirit qi is, but he somehow did it with his spear qi."
The maid frowned. "You mean he has an intent spirit weapon?"
Sera shook her head. "As we suspected, he didn’t have any intent spirit weapon. He had actually cultivated himself into a weapon and his body has four types of weapon qi in his meridians. It’s a pity. Before I could inspect the structure of his meridians, the spear qi inside him got agitated and attacked my spirit qi on its own."
The maid thought about it and said, "Most likely he has a special physique like you. As for it being some bloodline skill, the chances are quite slim since we didn’t sense any bloodline aura from him."
Sera nodded. "He told me that his mother is someone from outside the 36th stronghold, while his father is a native. So most likely he inherited his excellent genes from his mother."
The maid looked at her young lady strangely. "By excellent genes, do you mean his talent or his looks?"
Sera chuckled awkwardly. "Of course I am speaking about his talent. Don’t overthink it, Sister Mira."
The maid, Mira, shook her head helplessly. "Fine, fine. Let’s continue with our exploration. We only have a month’s time before the restriction is lifted. After that, we won’t be able to find any good opportunity since even platinum realm cultivators will enter the Asura Forest to explore the runes."
...
On his way home, Leon did not dare stop anywhere midway. He dashed back home and entered his room to cultivate after spending some time with little Amy and Sister Coco.
Once the door was closed, the first thing he did was to check his loot from the three soldiers.
Since two of them were genuine iron realm cultivators and the head soldier was also on the verge of breaking through to the iron realm, the three had quite a collection of wealth in their storage rings.
The money alone combined to be around 36 thousand iron grade coins and 231 thousand mortal grade coins. There were also several pills and potions. Particularly the head soldier had 150 white pills at the iron grade, but Leon was not sure what their actual uses were.
Apart from this, there were also four mortal grade vital qi cultivation manuals and one mortal grade fire element manual. But since the vital qi manuals were only at one star level and the fire elemental manual was no use to him, he set it aside to sell in the black market.
The rest of the things inside were just miscellaneous stuff like clothes and other items. Leon decided to discard these somewhere else.
He also did not dare keep the storage rings for himself since someone might link him to the deaths of the three soldiers through them, so they were also set aside to be sold at the black market.
The next item was the hundred beast blood fruits Sera had given him. When Leon took the fruit in his hand, he felt as though he was holding a glowing metal ball.
He dared to bite into the fruit, but it felt as though he was trying to bite into a piece of wood.
According to Leon’s knowledge, a mortal grade fruit will be ten times tougher and more potent than an ordinary version of that same fruit. This logic applies as the realm increases.
Meaning, the copper grade fruit in Leon’s hand is around a thousand times harder and energy rich than its ordinary version. But since Leon’s body’s actual strength was more than a person at the peak of mortal realm, he only felt like he was biting into a piece of wood.
If it was a normal person, biting the fruit would be like biting into a piece of metal ball. And even if they swallowed the fruit, their body would be unable to absorb it. Instead, it might even cause their body to explode due to the thick qi emanating from the fruit.
