Chapter 1616: Kharvok, The Eternal Frost Devourer

Kent watches as the ice cocoon slowly cracks and comes undone.

Already, he can sense a powerful aura coming out of the cocoon. This made him realise that perhaps Kharvok is coming out as a completely overpowered beast.

From what he had learned from the nine undead generals, he had yet to awaken a skill that would further boost his power through the bond shared between him and his beast legion.

If Kharvok is already this powerful from merely awakening his innate body, then there is no telling just what would become of him when he finally becomes a Monarch.

’I don’t know what kind of experiment that bastard performed on him, but if he is coming out this powerful, then I will claim the others as my forbidden beast companions and make sure he cries blood when I kill the others.

Leaving them would mean I cannot claim the Evil Key to unlock the first Grand Shaman. So all 24 Forbidden Beasts would become mine, and the others would die’ Kent said inwardly, his hatred for Grand Dark Lich Barnabas showing in his eyes.

’At least their bodies would be perfect in upgrading my undead when I return to the outside world.’

With plans set and determination rekindled, Kent waited patiently until the last chunk of ice fell, revealing Kharvok in his human form.

Kharvok emerged as a muscular man with a towering physique, broad shoulders, a massive chest, thick, frost-covered arms, and defined abs.

Kent subconsciously compared this version of Kharvok to his beast form, and for a moment, a smile formed on his face.

’Why are all my subordinates good-looking?’

Not that he planned to have ugly subordinates, but at the rate at which they are all coming out, there is a chance he might just end up with an army of handsome and beautiful warriors.

’Well, their master is as handsome as they come, so it is only natural they all look good.’ In the end, shamelessness won. Kent smiled and focused on the other changes that happened to Kharvok.

He has bright, glowing, icy-blue eyes with slit pupils. He is extremely handsome, with sharp facial features and pale, icy skin, paired with long, wild, silver-white hair that falls to his lower back.

What made him stand out was the single braid messily formed and falling down his back.

’I guess he took after the nature of his element.’ Just as Yggzrael took after his green ice and wood elements, Kharvok had the same look, and what was even more shocking was his attire.

He is clad in a black and dark-blue fur cloak made from ancient beasts. The cloak left his upper body exposed, with heavy ice-forged armoured gauntlets on his arms, and fur waist garments mixed with glacier steel chains.

The urge to lock in battle with Kharvok once again and test his strength overwhelmed Kent’s mind. However, he pulled himself back, knowing they had a mission to handle.

Looking at Kharvok, he could tell he had finally become the kind of Forbidden Beast the Grand Dark Lich had failed to accomplish.

He may have had some success, but compared to the perfect version staring back at him, Kent knew he had won big.

’We are going to have so many adventures once I return from Elina’s Galaxy and ascend to the Immortal Realm.’

"Congratulations, Kharvok, looks like you are finally a true Forbidden Beast."

"Thank you, Young Lord. I will do everything in my power to help you whenever you need me."

Kent smiled and said, "As a matter of fact, we have a mission."

Kharvok nodded and walked forward, every step breaking the ice under his feet. "I am ready to leave now."

"Very well. First, however, what can you tell me about the 23 Forbidden Beasts with domains inside this layer? I know aside from you, there are a hundred others. However, only 23 others have domains."

Kharvok didn’t seem surprised by the question.

After all, aside from him, there are indeed 23 other Forbidden Divine Beasts. They each have a domain they rule, and to be frank, he would rather not face them... at least that was when he hadn’t met Kent.

Now, he is different, and so he has nothing to worry about. Well, there are still a few he would better not offend

"There are indeed 23 others. However, I don’t know if the master and I can take them on. Some are, let’s just say, very terrifying."

Kent smiled, and his wings appeared. "As a matter of fact, I am now more interested. Let’s talk while we fly there."

Kharvok shook his head, a pale smile appearing on his face as he took flight.

Kharvok went ahead to tell him what he knew. "The Young Lord must know that aside from the demon inside the Central Region, there are three other Forbidden Beasts that are even stronger than him, the last I checked.

Also, this list is based on those I know. There may be a few I haven’t met and may even be stronger than this one.

One is the [Reality Bender]. I have never seen this particular Forbidden Beast in action, but from what I learned from the other Forbidden Beasts, it has abilities related to space and time. Honestly, that beast scares me, so I did my best to stay away from it.

The second is the [Chaos Harbinger]. I once witnessed a battle between him and a Monarch Beast. The battle ended within 30 seconds, the Monarch dying and its body being devoured as if it were nothing.

The third is the [Earth Shaker]. For this one, all I can say is that if your strength and defence are poor, you will die before you know it.

Honestly, it would do the master good to fight the beasts inside the Central Region first before facing any of the top ten. I ranked 22nd, by the way. Now, I can count myself in the top 10, maybe top 8"

"Oh, looks like there is a lot of madness hidden here." Kent grinned and asked, "How about the four Abominations?"

"I don’t know much about them, but I learned the Central Region demon had met one before and nearly died. The Young Lord can ask it when you meet."

[Inasmuch as I would love to say Kharvok is exaggerating, I think the master should indeed fight the demon first and become a Sword Divine before facing the Forbidden Beasts and Abominations.]

Tower said, causing Kent to close his eyes and ponder on some things.

’The rewards for killing that demon sure would make me much stronger. However, something keeps telling me it would be one of the deadliest battles I would ever face as a swordsman.’

Kent looked to his left, and after a few minutes of thinking, he changed his mind. "Let’s head to the Central Region first. I must handle that threat before taking on the other missions."

Kharvok nodded, and soon they started flying toward the Central Region. It would take them two days to get there and another day to locate the Crimson Blood Demon General, if he doesn’t locate them first.

[Central Region]

Seated on a red throne bathed in blood, a red-skinned demon with glowing red eyes and dark twisted horns, chains hanging off his body, the Crimson Blood Demon General smirked, looking at two individuals speeding toward his domain.

"So you are the one Lord Dark wanted taken out, huh?" A disdainful look appeared on his face.

"I expected better. Even so, I will end him before the others arrive. Call it the perks of choosing to remain in this layer despite possessing the power to roam in the Chaos Layer."

A great sword beside him trembled, excited that after years, it would finally taste blood.
