Thomas Shannon is the only son, the apple of James Shannon and Mrs. Shannon’s eye, their treasure. If anything were to happen to him, how could James Shannon easily forgive them?

Thomas Shannon: "..."

Coming out of the study room, William Guillen asked the man in black in the corridor, "Where’s the maniac?"

"Resting inside the bedroom."

William Guillen pondered for a moment and said, "Call her down for me. I have something to discuss with her."

"Okay, Young Master Guillen, please wait a moment."

Sophie Sullivan had just taken a painkiller and was about to rest for a while when the man in black knocked on the bedroom door.

"Who is it?"

"Maniac, Young Master Guillen is downstairs and wants to talk to you."

William Guillen returned to the Country?

Could it be... he returned for Fluffy Zane?

Thinking of this, Sophie Sullivan lifted the silk quilt, got out of bed, and left the bedroom.

Downstairs, William Guillen sat on the sofa, frowning and smoking a cigarette. Hearing footsteps, he looked up, saw Sophie Sullivan, and hooked the corner of his mouth, "Maniac, you’re here."

Sophie Sullivan nodded and sat opposite him, "I heard you were looking for me. Is there something?"

William Guillen lowered his head, took a deep drag on his cigarette, exhaled the smoke, and then said, "You went to see Fluffy, how is she?"

"Still the same; she’s so sick she doesn’t eat or drink, only relying on nutrient solutions to sustain her life."

Surprised, William Guillen raised his head, squinted his eyes slightly, his eyes filled with disbelief, "What?"

"You didn’t hear wrong. She’s so ill that she has no appetite. The doctor is worried her body won’t hold up, so they have to give her nutrient solutions to sustain life."

Sophie Sullivan casually added, "Oh, and she’s already so thin she doesn’t look like herself."

William Guillen’s brows furrowed more and more, then he raised his head again, gazing deeply at her, full of expectation, "Did you persuade her to think things through a bit? What did she say?"

"I’ve said everything I could say. As for what she thinks, I don’t know." At this point, Sophie Sullivan glanced at him sideways, "But why did you even come back?"

Her feelings for him had just begun to adjust slightly, and yet he returned to the Country.

What, could it be he’s going to show up in front of Fluffy Zane again?

Just when she was about to try letting him go, he appears in front of her again, stirring up her emotions?

William Guillen cleared his throat softly, "I heard about Bay King and Isla Stanley, so I came back to take a look."

But, maniac’s question seems a bit too much, doesn’t it?

His home is in the Imperial City. He can return whenever he wants. Is it possible that because Fluffy Zane is there, he can’t go home?

Sophie Sullivan nodded, indicating she understood.

"Anyway, thank you." After William Guillen thanked her, he got up and left.

Sophie Sullivan was in a daze for a long time until a deep magnetic male voice sounded by the ear, "What are you thinking about?"

Sophie Sullivan was startled. She turned her head, and her red lips inadvertently brushed past Thomas Shannon’s handsome face.

"When did you come over, you gave me a scare."

Thomas Shannon pinched her chin with one hand, gently running his thumb over her smooth skin, "What did Lan Singh say to you that has you so deeply lost in thought?"

"Nothing." Sophie Sullivan removed his hand and was about to stand up and go upstairs.

Her wrist suddenly tightened, and she was pulled back by a force, losing her balance and dropping onto his legs.

Thomas Shannon wrapped an arm around her waist, pressing her delicate body closer to himself, "Fennie, inside your head, apart from me, you’re not allowed to think of any other man, got it?"

"Thomas Shannon, you’re even jealous of William Guillen?"
