Pampered by My Secret Husband
Chapter 943 - 945: This Is Not His Fault
For a woman, putting his brother at the muzzle of a gun.
This time, Thomas Shannon narrowly escaped disaster, what about next time?
Next time, if Isla Stanley succeeds, can his conscience be at peace?
"He’s not crazy, he just thinks Isla Stanley is still the same as before."
William Guillen hesitated for a moment and asked, "Thomas, are you alright?"
"I’m fine, it was just an act, and it helped Edward Benson recognize the reality. The current Linda is no longer the Isla Stanley of the past. She is someone trained by Lillian Spencer, a killing machine of Lillian Spencer."
"Tomorrow, I’m going back to the Country."
"No need to see me, I’m fine."
William Guillen: "..."
The little boat of friendship, capsizes without warning.
...
William Guillen eventually returned to Country A.
After leaving the airport, he asked the driver to send the luggage back to the Cooper Family; he himself went to Thomas Shannon’s manor.
"Young Master Guillen." The servant greeted respectfully.
As William Guillen stepped into the castle, he glanced around but didn’t see Thomas Shannon, so he asked, "Where’s Thomas?"
"Young Master is in the study room."
William Guillen quickly went upstairs; the man in black in the corridor saw him and respectfully bowed to greet him. After Guillen nodded in acknowledgment, he quickly arrived at the entrance of the study room and raised his hand to knock on the door.
"Come in."
He pushed open the door, saw Thomas Shannon and Charlie River in conversation, closed the door behind him and walked toward the sofa.
Thomas Shannon raised an eyebrow in surprise, rubbing his chin playfully with one hand, "Why did you come back?"
"I said I’d come to see you, would I lie to you?"
Thomas Shannon sneered, mercilessly revealing the truth, "Are you sure you’re not back to see Fluffy Zane? I heard Fluffy Zane is quite ill, already thin to the point of unrecognizable."
A flash of embarrassment crossed William Guillen’s face; he casually grabbed a cushion from the sofa and tossed it towards Shannon.
The irritated words followed quickly, "If you don’t speak, no one will regard you as mute!"
Charlie River, quick-eyed, reached out to catch the cushion before it could hit Thomas Shannon’s face, held it in his embrace, and stepped back a few steps, returning to his original position to stand.
Thomas Shannon sneered, putting down his hand and taking out one cigarette, squinting slightly as he lowered his head to light it, "Flying into a rage out of humiliation."
William Guillen was quite angry; he poured himself a cup of water, drank half, and then said, "How do you plan to deal with this Lillian Spencer matter?"
The news can’t keep spreading everywhere, making it known to everyone nationwide.
"Don’t worry, K Group will come forward to clarify."
As for that employee from K Group mentioned in the report, they’ll be caught.
K Group never tolerates traitors; the consequences of betraying K Group can only be described as miserable.
William Guillen nodded, and suddenly felt furious again, "What about Bay King?"
"Do you have business with him?" Thomas Shannon exhaled a smoke ring and asked indifferently.
"His woman caused such a mess; shouldn’t he come forward to handle it? Especially, if Thomas Shannon hadn’t been prepared in advance, he might have already been dead like reported in the news."
Then he wouldn’t be sitting here, healthy, chatting with him.
"Guillen, it’s not Bay King’s fault for this matter." Thomas Shannon flicked the cigarette ash, his expression losing its laid-back demeanor, becoming serious.
"If not him, then whose fault?"
William Guillen said irritably, "Do we have to wait until something happens to you, then it’s his fault?"
Regardless of whether Isla Stanley succeeds, even if she did, how could she and Edward Benson live steadily in this world?
