Young Master Vance Has An Enchanting Wife!-Chapter 298: The Long Night and the Restless Heart
"I’ll wait a bit more. When she’s asleep, I’ll go in." Victor Grant had never been so timid about women before, always careful with his expressions.
Heather Holt rolled her eyes at him, yawned, and planned to go back to rest: "Anyway, it’s up to you to seize the opportunity, don’t blame me for not reminding you. When I can’t hold on any longer and return, you’ll have to solve it yourself."
"..." Victor Grant stared speechlessly at his mom’s departing figure, not knowing what to say for quite a while.
His mom actually has a kind heart, it’s just her mouth...
Victor Grant dawdled in the living room for a good hour, calculating that the timing should be just right, and then quietly went upstairs to open the door.
May Morgan was tidying up the bed, planning to make do with the sofa for the night. When she saw Victor Grant open the door, she said to him, "I’ll take the sofa tonight, you sleep on the bed."
"No, no, no, I’ll sleep on the sofa. It’s so small, what if you fall off?"
Victor Grant awkwardly took the quilt from May Morgan’s hand, turned around, and placed it on the sofa. May Morgan glanced at him but didn’t argue, just apologized and said: "Sorry to make you suffer, once your mom leaves, I’ll sleep in the guest room."
Victor Grant lay down on the sofa, hugging the quilt and feeling a bit disappointed, said to May Morgan: "I know you can’t accept me now, but it’s okay, I’ll wait for you, until the day you’re willing."
Hearing his words, May Morgan felt a bit sad and lowered her head without speaking. Victor Grant looked at her turning figure as she lay down, sighed helplessly, and planned to rest.
Just as he lay down, his phone rang: "Son, how’s it going? Did you make progress?"
Victor Grant was getting annoyed, quickly complained to his mom: "No, I’m sleeping on the sofa..."
"Useless, you just wait." Hearing Victor was sleeping on the sofa, Heather Holt got angry and quickly cursed him.
Soon, Heather Holt was heard knocking on the door: "May Morgan, have you slept? I’ve made you some late-night snacks, have some before sleeping!"
Hearing Heather Holt’s voice at the door, May Morgan immediately sat up in alarm. Victor Grant saw this and quickly sat up from the sofa, the two exchanged a glance, then Victor rapidly picked up the quilt and pillow from the sofa and tossed them onto the bed.
"Coming, coming."
Victor Grant agitatedly ran to open the door, and sure enough, saw his mom holding a bowl of sweet dumplings wanting to come in.
"Mom, you..." Victor Grant was about to complain a bit, but saw his mom desperately signaling with her eyes, only then did he completely understand that his mom was being the ultimate wingman.
Heather Holt handed the sweet dumplings to May Morgan, intentionally glanced at the room’s sofa, not seeing any pillows or quilts. Only then did she sneakily give Victor Grant an "OK" gesture behind her back.
Victor Grant gave his mom a bashful smile, didn’t dare speak a word, assuming that if May Morgan saw him colluding with his mom, she’d certainly punch him right out.
"May Morgan, the doctor said you’re weak and need to eat more. I had someone prepare a bowl of sweet dumplings for you, Victor, why are you still standing there? Don’t know how to attend to your wife?"
Heather Holt quickly threw Victor Grant a big eye roll, signaling him to hurry and show some tenderness.
Victor Grant, aware that his mom was helping him, cheerfully held the bowl of sweet dumplings, personally feeding May Morgan.
Face to face with Heather Holt, May Morgan was embarrassed to refuse, awkwardly took a bite, Heather Holt, seeing things accomplished, then clapped her hands, reveling in her hidden glory, and retreated from the two’s bedroom.
"I can do it myself."
Finally enduring until Heather Holt left, May Morgan hurriedly reached for the bowl in Victor Grant’s hand. However, Victor deliberately raised the bowl high, not letting her touch it: "Don’t worry, I’ll feed you."
After saying that, indeed one dumpling after another was sent to May Morgan’s mouth. May Morgan helplessly sighed internally, seeing his attitude so resolute, she had no choice but to obediently eat.
After finishing the entire bowl of dumplings, Victor Grant turned and placed it on the bedside table, conveniently turning off the lamp.
Looking at the sudden pitch-dark room, then at Victor Grant seemingly not planning to leave the bed, May Morgan’s mouth twitched, unable to resist driving him away: "Aren’t you going to sleep on the sofa?"
Victor Grant deliberately put on a helpless look, explaining to May Morgan: "My mom is unpredictable, she might come again. If she sees you mistreating her son, she would definitely be upset, right?"
Mistreating... 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
Alright!
Glancing at the oversized bed, May Morgan calculated that if the two slept on each side, there should be no physical contact?
"Then I’ll sleep on this corner, you sleep on that corner, no crossing the line!" May Morgan finished, deliberately rolled a quilt to place between them, preventing Victor Grant from misbehaving during the night.
Victor Grant, having successfully gotten onto May Morgan’s bed, was already excited. Whatever she said, that’s how it would be, anyhow once asleep, it’s his domain.
"Fine, even if you place landmines in the middle, it wouldn’t matter. I’m a gentleman, I promised not to touch you and I won’t!" Victor Grant patted his chest, solemnly assured May Morgan.
You’re a gentleman? If you were a gentleman, there’d be no good people under the heavens. If the material allowed, you think I wouldn’t really put a few touch-sensitive explosives on the bed?
May Morgan hugged the quilt, lay in the bed corner for a while, until confirming that Victor Grant seemed really quite well-behaved, only then daringly closed her eyes to rest.
Actually, she didn’t know, a beauty beside him, Victor Grant, young and full of energy, how could he possibly sleep?
He just waited and waited, finally waited until he heard May Morgan’s gentle breathing behind him, confirmed she was asleep, only then moved slightly, turned and looked at her.
Sure enough, May Morgan had her eyes closed and entered dreamland.
The white moonlight gently spilled on May Morgan’s beautiful little face, shining with a sacred and beautiful glow, making Victor Grant’s nose bleed all over the bed.
White porcelain-like delicate skin, long and dense eyelashes, elegant and exquisite eyebrows, and that rosy little mouth that just looking at made your heart race, Victor Grant thought, with this face, these eyes, he could look at them for a lifetime and still not get enough.
His heart itched as he gently pulled away the quilt between them, scooted his body closer to May Morgan, and seeing her not react much, boldly stretched out his hand to touch May Morgan’s exquisite and beautiful little face.
So beautiful, how can his wife be so stunning, truly never tire of looking!
Staring at the little face in his palm that made the heart pound, Victor Grant couldn’t contain himself, rose, and wanted to give her face a kiss.
