Young Master Vance Has An Enchanting Wife!-Chapter 260: Picking a Fight
Although she knew that for Victor Grant, getting rid of a mere Maxwell Vance was definitely not a difficult task, she didn’t want her to die just like that; she wanted to play with her for a while.
There’s also Brianna White, even though she knew that the small bottle she took that day couldn’t possibly contain her child’s, the humiliation she felt at the time was something May Morgan would remember for a lifetime.
No one can step on her head; what needs to be repaid or avenged will certainly not be left undone.
Victor Grant couldn’t argue with May Morgan, so he had to first send the signed divorce agreement to Vincent Vance’s company. To see whether Vincent Vance still had a conscience for May Morgan, Victor Grant personally delivered this divorce agreement.
Vincent Vance was having a meeting at the time, and Brianna White was attending to him. Brianna White was quite fearful of Victor Grant’s infamous reputation, so she tried to leave quickly after serving a cup of coffee. However, Victor Grant didn’t plan to let her go easily; before Brianna White could turn around, the coffee in Victor Grant’s hand was poured all over her head, leaving Brianna White in a very embarrassed state.
"What are you doing?" Relying on her special relationship with Vincent Vance lately, Brianna White spoke with much more assertiveness in the company. Victor Grant’s actions plainly embarrassed her, and she couldn’t stand it.
Victor Grant pointed at the coffee cup in his hand and cursed at Brianna White: ’You snobbish thing, do you think your grandpa can’t afford coffee? Serving me instant coffee as a perfunctory gesture?’
Usually, when guests visit the company, the secretary prepares instant coffee, and no one ever deliberately bothered her. But today, Victor Grant was clearly here to cause trouble, and Brianna White was furious.
"Instant coffee is the company standard. If Mr. Grant doesn’t like it, I can make you a fresh cup. Isn’t your behavior towards me somewhat rude?"
Victor Grant looked at her, quite the arrogant little person, unable to resist standing up and pointing at Brianna White’s nose while cursing: ’Don’t think that just because you’ve slept with Vincent Vance, you can become the CEO’s wife. You’re nothing more than a face from the red-light district, only Vincent Vance would settle for someone like you; I wouldn’t even bother looking at you.’
"You!" Victor Grant’s cursing was always merciless and as unpleasant as possible, leaving Brianna White utterly overwhelmed and unsure of what to say.
A crowd had gathered around the reception room to watch the scene unfold, and those people were skilled at spreading gossip. With Victor Grant’s scolding of Brianna White, the rumor about the CEO and the secretary sleeping together would likely spread throughout the company within two hours.
Jacob Jennings happened to be at the company for business, and hearing the commotion in the reception room, he pushed the door open to take a look. Seeing Victor Grant giving Brianna White a hard time, he stepped forward and took Brianna White aside, signaling her to leave first.
"Mr. Grant, let’s talk about this calmly; why act so rough? We’re all people of status; there’s no need to make things difficult for a little secretary," Jacob Jennings tried to mediate as he hustled Brianna White out.
Victor Grant gave Jacob Jennings a disdainful look and tossed the divorce agreement in his hand over to him: "Don’t say I’m causing trouble for no reason; I’ve brought a gift for Vincent Vance."
Jacob Jennings glanced at the document, seeing the big words "Divorce Agreement," couldn’t help but laugh bitterly: ’This gift is quite heavy, probably enough to take our young master’s life.’
Vincent Vance never thought about divorcing May Morgan. Even when he had no choice but to drive May Morgan away, he never thought about divorce, because he knew too well that once they divorced, she would never be his again.
With this marriage still existing, she was still Mrs. Vance; she was his wife. But once he severed the marital bond, he would lose his beloved forever.
Therefore, not divorcing was Vincent Vance’s final principle.
"How could it take Vincent Vance’s life? Look, May Morgan is willing to walk away with nothing, isn’t that enough to make your young master happy? He wouldn’t have to sneak around anymore, nor would he have to pay a large alimony for a divorce; he’d secretly rejoice."
Victor Grant sarcastically threw the divorce agreement onto the table in front of Jacob Jennings, then asked him: ’Tell me, how long will Vincent Vance’s meeting last? I don’t have so much time to wait for him.’
Jacob Jennings carefully put away the divorce agreement from Victor Grant’s hand and politely said: ’Since Mr. Grant is so busy, why not go first? Later, I’ll personally show this divorce agreement to our young master.’
"No way, May Morgan is waiting for an answer today; no matter what, I have to see Vincent Vance sign it with my own eyes before I leave." Victor Grant resolutely said, turning his face.
Jacob Jennings felt Vincent Vance was unlikely to sign, and Victor Grant was waiting in vain, adding unnecessary trouble for their young master: ’How about this, I’ll deliver it to your residence myself once our young master has signed it.’
Jacob Jennings was a smooth talker; Victor Grant knew him well and was too lazy to waste words with Jacob Jennings. He simply got up, grabbed the document, and left.
Seeing him storming off, Jacob Jennings’s intuition told him something was wrong. He quickly stood up to intercept him, but it was too late. Victor Grant had already reached the meeting room and kicked open the tightly closed door.
Vincent Vance and Logan Vance were in the meeting; it was very important, so many shareholders attended. However, fortunately, when Victor Grant barged in, the meeting was nearly over. Seeing that Victor Grant came with ill intentions, Vincent Vance waved his hand, signaling the other shareholders to leave.
"Let’s reconvene the meeting here. If there are any issues, submit the documents to supplement later," Vincent Vance said calmly.
The shareholders exchanged glances, understanding the situation, quickly tidied up, and filed out. The vast meeting room was now only left with Vincent Vance, Logan Vance, Victor Grant, and the quickly entering Jacob Jennings.
Logan Vance smiled slightly, sitting in his chair, not saying a word. He seemed like an outsider watching everything unfold in front of him. Vincent Vance glanced at Logan Vance, seeing he had no intention of leaving, he frowned and said to Victor Grant: "Victor Grant, couldn’t you call ahead if you have something?"
Victor Grant boldly threw the divorce agreement on the table, shouting at Vincent Vance: ’I don’t have time to waste with you. Hurry up, sign this divorce agreement, and I’ll leave immediately.’
Vincent Vance glanced down at the divorce agreement but didn’t move: "What is this?"
Victor Grant found it amusing: "Not illiterate, are you? Can’t you read the four words on top? Divorce agreement, do you understand?"
Vincent Vance frowned, unwilling to bicker with Victor Grant over these things, and turned to leave: ’Have my personal lawyer review the divorce agreement first, then come find me once it’s cleared.’
Victor Grant reached out to block his path, his tone serious and imperious: ’Stop wasting time. May Morgan didn’t even ask for anything from you, willing to leave with nothing. If you’re a man, sign it quickly.’
