Young Master Vance Has An Enchanting Wife!-Chapter 249: From Now On, Iโll Protect You
"Victor Grant, thatโs enough!" Jacob Jennings, who couldnโt stand it any longer, quickly stepped forward to reason with Victor Grant. ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ธ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ต.๐ฌ๐ค๐ข
Vincent Vance, worried he might say something impulsive, waved at him, signaling him not to speak.
"Victor Grant, what exactly are you here for today?" Vincent Vance suppressed his anger and asked Victor Grant calmly.
"Iโm here to take May Morgan away. You didnโt cherish her, so Iโll treat her well!"
After saying this, Victor Grant pushed Vincent Vance hard and turned to go upstairs to find May Morgan.
Jacob Jennings quickly moved to stop him, but Vincent Vance waved him off again, stopping his actions.
Victor Grant found May Morganโs bedroom, pushed open the door, and immediately saw the mess everywhere and the blood on the floor.
Seeing May Morganโs injured hand, a surge of anger almost made him want to tear down Zenith Villa.
Damn it, such a good girl, and Vincent Vance had the heart to treat her this way?
Victor Grant, feeling a bit heartache, walked to May Morganโs bedside and looked at her severely injured hand, not knowing what to do for a moment.
"How did your hand get like this? Damn, who did this? Iโll cut off her hand and feed it to the dogs. It looks like you have glass shards in your hand, you need to see a doctor, Iโll carry you out."
Victor Grant spoke a lot to himself, making May Morgan tear up. She never imagined that such a rough man like Victor Grant could say something so delicate.
Although Victor Grant had some reservations towards May Morgan, he wanted to lift her from the bed, yet feared she wouldnโt want him to.
"Um, can I carry you downstairs? Your hand is injured, and I worry youโll have difficulty moving." Victor Grant asked nervously, looking at a weakened May Morgan on the bed.
May Morgan nodded without speaking, agreeing to Victor Grantโs proposal. Victor quickly bent down and carefully lifted May Morgan from the bed, turning to leave.
Carrying May Morgan was like holding a delicate feather, as he cautiously descended the stairs, not knowing where to put his hands or feet. Without glancing at Vincent Vance, he turned to leave.
May Morgan, however, saw Vincent Vance standing in the living room. She quickly called to Victor Grant, signaling him to stop.
"Victor Grant, take me to Vincent Vance, I still have something to say to him!" May Morgan softly said to Victor Grant.
Victor Grant sneered at Vincent Vance, advising, โWhat is there left to say to such scum? Letโs just go.โ
May Morganโs eyes remained fixed on Vincent Vance, staring at the man who once treated her best, and now the worst. Her hatred, however, remained unresolved.
"I know, but I still have something I need to say to him. Put me down," May Morgan said, seeing Victor Grantโs reluctance, struggling to get down from his embrace.
Victor Grant, worried she couldnโt stand it, sighed helplessly, and turned to Vincent Vance with her in his arms.
Vincent Vance, aware of his wrongs, dared not look at May Morganโs face, because the hatred in her eyes was so deep it pained him.
He didnโt want to treat her this way, she was his most cherished treasure, how could he bear to let her fall into another manโs embrace?
But other than using this method to fool others, successfully pushing her to Victor Grant, letting Victorโs power protect her, he really had no other choice.
"Iโm sorry..." Vincent Vance said helplessly, lowering his head to May Morgan.
May Morgan didnโt want to hear his apology. An apology was the most hypocritical, least responsible thing in the world.
"You think an apology is enough, Vincent Vance? I came to tell you thank you for showing me the true heart of men. Shortly, Iโll have someone deliver a divorce agreement to your home. I didnโt take anything you gave me, so you can rest assured."
The only diamond ring she once had was broken in a fit of anger, taken to a jewelry shop for repair. Now, she didnโt even have a mobile phone, wearing only the cheapest nightgown, so to Vincent Vance, she truly left with nothing.
After hearing her words, Victor Grant proudly said to her, "Yes, why bother with that scumbagโs stuff? Itโll just dirty your eyes. May Morgan, whatever you like, Iโll buy it for you later, Iโm not any less wealthy than this scum."
Hearing Victor Grantโs words, May Morgan couldnโt help but smile. Although his tone was still as brazen as ever, this time, it was particularly comforting.
"Thank you." May Morgan looked gratefully at Victor Grant, deliberately glancing at Vincent Vance from the corner of her eye: "Thank you for not making it too embarrassing for me, also letting some people know I still have my charms, not entirely worthless."
"What are you saying, one manโs trash is another manโs treasure. Donโt listen to the scum. With me protecting you, who would dare bully you again?"
Victor Grant glared provocatively at Vincent Vance, lifting May Morgan during a brief moment, he suddenly noticed Brianna White standing nearby, with her heavily made-up face, and the disdain on Victor Grantโs face became increasingly evident.
"Vincent Vance, I never thought you had such taste. This kind of woman, Iโd throw her to my subordinates to play with, and they would still find it tacky."
Saying this insult with such intensity, Victor Grant said no more to anyone, turned, and carried May Morgan out of Zenith Villa.
After placing her in his car, Victor Grant noticed how thinly dressed May Morgan was, quickly took off his jacket, and draped it over her shoulders.
The jacket still retained Victorโs warmth. Though she didnโt particularly like his scent, at least it wasnโt unpleasant to her.
If it werenโt for this man standing up for her, sheโd likely still be suffering in Zenith Villa right now.
"Iโll first take you back to my villa. For now, donโt think about anything else, focus on getting better, okay?" Victorโs tone, usually gruff, became much softer when speaking to May Morgan.
The driver in front, thinking he heard wrong, turned back in shock to look at him, but seeing the tenderness in Victorโs eyes towards her, he immediately understood.
The boss was genuinely in love, he thought. Since when has he ever been so gentle with a woman?
May Morgan nodded quietly, holding Victorโs jacket, turning to look out the window, watching as the shadow of Zenith Villa grew smaller until it vanished.
At that moment, May Morgan suddenly felt a void in her heart, as if she lost something invaluable, aching enough to cry.
And these tears, reluctant as they were, fell uncontrollably and only grew more intense until they almost caused her to faint.
