Young Master Vance Has An Enchanting Wife!-Chapter 111: Lovestruck
When May dashed off, Vincent chased after her quickly, feeling frustrated. He grabbed May’s arm and scolded her with a hint of anger, "Don’t be stubborn. Remember, you’re pregnant with a baby. What if something happens? And Grandpa still doesn’t know that you’re pregnant. If he finds out, do you think you can escape from Vance Residence?"
Vincent’s large hand held May tightly. She struggled but couldn’t break free. "Since I’ve come, I’m ready to be caught by him again. However, even if it means getting caught, I need to find Melanie, that vile woman, today."
May was determined to find Melanie, not only because Melanie had caused her grandmother’s death, but also because she wanted to know whether that old woman had done something to her back then. Why had she become like this?
If she was really cursed, then she couldn’t keep the child in her belly, could she?
But she was too afraid to tell Vincent any of this because she feared Vincent would see her as a monster and reject her.
Seeing May stubbornly refusing to leave, Vincent was also worried she might get too emotional and harm the baby. So he softened his tone and negotiated with her, "Alright, since you don’t want to leave, you can stay for now. But you have to stay by my side and not leave, okay?"
"I understand." Seeing Vincent relent, May immediately nodded cooperatively.
Vincent led May on a tour around the vast rear garden, then led her to the natural hot spring.
At that moment, Maxwell was pulling Adam and crying. Her cries were suppressed, making it sound heartbreaking.
"Adam, you can see how I treat you. I don’t expect you to treat me extraordinarily well, but please don’t look at me like I’m your enemy, okay? It hurts me so much in my heart."
Adam glanced at Maxwell with some helplessness. Although he felt a bit sorry seeing her cry, he ultimately couldn’t bring himself to love this woman he always regarded as a sister.
"Maxwell, I’m sorry. Sometimes my words may be harsh, but I just want you to understand that I really have no feelings for you. Even though May and I no longer have a future together, I can’t force myself to marry a woman I don’t love."
Adam’s cold and ruthless words pierced Maxwell to the core, making her burst into tears.
"Adam, why won’t you love me? What did I do wrong? I’ve taken care of you for so many days in the hospital, and you don’t even have an ounce of gratitude?"
Adam was annoyed by Maxwell’s entanglement. He simply shook off the hand she kept holding on his arm and turned to leave. "I can’t explain it. No feelings mean no feelings, why force it?"
"Adam, don’t go. Can’t my apology be enough? I won’t force you to love me anymore, is that okay?" Seeing Adam about to leave, Maxwell hastily lowered her voice to apologize to him.
May, watching from the side, felt uncomfortable and couldn’t help but tug on Vincent’s hand, whispering, "Shall we leave?"
Vincent stroked his chin, smiling mischievously, "Why? Don’t want to see Adam?"
May rolled her eyes at him in silence, about to speak, when Maxwell turned and saw them.
Maxwell gracefully walked over to them, and taking advantage of May’s distraction, she deliberately moved her body and pushed May into the nearby warm water pool.
"Ah, sister-in-law, what happened to you?" After pushing May in, Maxwell feigned innocence and shouted loudly.
Vincent glared at her coldly but didn’t bother to scold her. He quickly turned and jumped into the water, pulling May out from the water.
Luckily, it was hot spring water, so May didn’t get cold, but she was soaked, and if she didn’t dry off quickly, she would catch a cold.
When Vincent pulled May from the pool, Maxwell fearfully glanced at her brother. Seeing his eyes were icy, she was thoroughly frightened, hurriedly followed Vincent, continuously apologizing, "Brother, I, I didn’t do it on purpose. I, I really didn’t mean to."
Vincent, worried about May’s health, couldn’t be bothered to waste words with Maxwell. He picked up the woman in his arms and headed for the villa, without looking back at Maxwell once.
Soon, he carried May to the bedroom he used to live in, then found a blanket to wrap the soaked May.
Butler Lawson, seeing Vincent running in a hurry, followed him inside to take a look. Seeing both of them drenched, he was stunned and quickly instructed the maid to prepare bathing water and clean clothes.
After the maid prepared the bathing water, Vincent worried about May bathing alone, so he carried her inside.
Outside, Butler Lawson tentatively asked, "Young Master, would you like a bowl of ginger soup?"
Vincent thought for a moment, then nodded and replied, "Sure."
"You soak in the warm water first, and I’ll help you wash once I’m done." Vincent set May in the tub carefully, then turned and stripped off his wet clothes, turned on the nearby shower, and began to wash himself.
His well-toned body was especially attractive under the shower spray, and May couldn’t help but stare, her heart skipping a few beats.
Isn’t there a limit to being handsome? His face looks good enough, but his body is this perfect too. Ah, if she weren’t pregnant, she’d really want to pin him down.
"Had enough of a look?" Dazed and lovestruck, Vincent quickly finished washing himself, wrapped his body with a robe, bent down, and gave May an amused smile while wiping away the drool from the corner of her mouth.
Sometimes, he really liked it when she gazed at him so infatuatedly. It made him feel that she saw nothing but him.
"Who’s got time to look at you?" Embarrassed by his gaze, May hurriedly grabbed the bath sponge, scrubbing herself awkwardly.
Feeling shy, May’s clumsy movements caught Vincent’s eye. Unable to watch any longer, he fetched a chair, sat down, then bent over to take the sponge from her hand, gently helping her to scrub her back.
The bath sponge with its white suds softly passed over May’s fair skin, an arousing sight that was hard to resist.
If he didn’t have to consider her condition, Vincent would have really wanted to take her ruthlessly right there in the bathroom.
"It’s not safe here. Listen to me, once you’re done, let Jacob take you away quickly. I’ll help you find Melanie. Once I do, you can deal with her as you wish, okay?"
