Young Brother-in-law Is Now My Husband-Chapter 1550 Dance
Chapter 1550 Dance
Jake and Noah, seated along with them at the same table, couldn't help but revel in their friend, Lu Lijun's audaciousness. Their faint smiles conveyed unspoken approval and camaraderie.
An Tian, never one to miss a chance for playful banter, quipped as he looked at Jake and Noah, "Stop smiling for others. It would be better if you have that smile when you look at each other instead of blessing each other with punches."
"We're working on it," Jake responded serenely, only to be met with a piercing glare from the guy sitting next to him, Noah. "What the heck," Noah exclaimed, "Don't give them wrong ideas saying whatever. We are working on nothing at all."
Jake turned to look at the angry guy, "They already have the right idea about both of us. Don't overreact and act like a 'woman playing hard to get'."
"Jake, are you asking for trouble?" Noah warned, "Just because I am forced to let you crash at my place, don't get other ideas."
Raising an eyebrow, Jake countered, "Were you truly backed into a corner, or did you willingly take me in?"
"You were under the weather, your brother was away, and Lijun insisted I look after you..."
Cutting him off with a knowing look, Jake interjected, "So you do care, then."
"No way I'd let a friend suffer on the streets," Noah said, his voice and expression cold as he shifted his gaze to An Tian. "Brother Tian, push it any further, and I'm out of this wedding."
An Tian chuckled dismissively, "People can't accept the truth and take out their frustration on others," he mused, locking eyes meaningfully with Noah, "There are healthier outlets for such pent-up feelings. My brother might be just the remedy..."
"I've had enough," Noah declared, rising to his feet to leave.
"Go ahead," An Tian retorted, refocusing his attention on the unfolding spectacle onstage, "Next up is a couples' dance, not that you'd be partnering with my brother."
With determined strides, Noah exited the scene. Jake promptly followed suit, not minding his brother had angered Noah.
"You won't leave them alone, hmm?" Lu Feng commented. "The main part, the wedding ceremony's is over. They need a breather from this crowd," An Tian explained, a hint of mischief in his tone. "Besides, a little skirmish now and then might just help them blow off some steam."
"You seem to relish their conflicts," Lu Feng remarked with a sigh.
"It's a necessary push for them. If they don't confront their feelings head-on, they'll never move forward. I'll seize any opportunity to assist my brother," An Tian responded nonchalantly, as if orchestrating the drama. "Keeping quiet and in peace, would lead them nowhere."
"I agree with Brother Tian," Lu Lijun chimed in.
Jiang Yuyan looked unimpressed. "So, you enjoy watching them clash?"
"We had our fair share of conflicts, and look where we are now," Lu Lijun defended, his tone reminiscent. "Noah is as headstrong as once you were." f𝗿𝐞ewebno𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝐨m
She narrowed her eyes at him.
He chuckled softly. "Well, you were headstrong, but now time have changed. Now, you're nothing but sweet and obedient."
She felt awkward as it felt like she was being treated like a little girl. "Stop saying those words to describe me."
"Alright," he conceded, "All I'm saying is, a bit more confrontation might do them good. If Jake persists, Noah might just give in."
"Got it. You do know your friends quite well," she acknowledged.
At the adjacent table, amidst the wedding festivities, Wen Zac's focus remained steadfastly on his wife seated beside him. Beneath the tablecloth, he gently intertwined his fingers with hers, eliciting a subtle yet startled glance from her. Their eyes met, her gaze tinged with curiosity and a hint of color gracing her cheeks.
"Are you alright?" he inquired softly.
Her cheeks warmed further, sensing the implications behind his question. With a hesitant nod, she averted her eyes, evading his penetrating gaze.
"Good," he remarked with a knowing smile. "Once the wedding concludes, we should visit our countryside residence. You know, the one my father suggested we inspect after its recent renovations."
"I'm not particularly adept at evaluating interiors," she began, only to be cut off by his teasing interruption.
"Do you truly believe I'm bringing you there for a mere decor review?" His smirk was unmistakable.
Caught off guard, she lowered her eyes, momentarily lost for words.
He continued, "Given the circumstances, a honeymoon isn't feasible yet. Staying amidst our family might not afford us the privacy we require when we...."
"I..understand…" she said immediately to stop him, thinking how shameless he was to say it aloud. -----
As the evening progressed, the much-anticipated dance commenced, spotlighting the radiant bride and groom. Their graceful moves, synchronized to a hauntingly romantic melody, captivated every onlooker, evoking admiration for the couple's palpable love.
Following their enchanting performance, other couples soon graced the dance floor. Seizing the moment, Jiang Yang, the best man, extended his hand to Nicky. "Care for a dance?"
Observing this, An Tian leaned in towards Jiang Yuyan with a playful smirk. "Your brother certainly doesn't let opportunities slip by...."
Recognizing his teasing tone, Jiang Yuyan replied tersely, "He understands the importance of seizing the moment."
"No, my point is," An Tian continued, sipping his wine leisurely, "you might consider learning from him and take the advange of opportunities instead of being slow witted? Don't bring shame to your smart brother."
In that moment, she contemplated various objects around her, imagining which one to use to stab this man to his death, but she swallowed her anger.
Lu Lijun looked at Jiang Yuyan and was about to offer her a dance but someone else had beaten him to it. "President Lu, would you do me the honor?" An Tian declared, rising from his seat and offering his hand gallantly.
His proposition resonated clearly, capturing the attention of nearby guests, thereby leaving Jiang Yuyan with little room to decline. She exchanged a fleeting glance with Lu Lijun, who maintained a composed demeanor. Resignedly, she placed her hand in An Tian's and allowed herself to be led to the dance floor.
