Chapter 440: Chapter 440

Looking down at the hussy woman, Zeleskiaz’s rage and disgust made his insides boil to her unwanted touch, keeping his deathly violence in check solely for one motive. Nonetheless...

*Smack!* — His hand dismissing her’s resounded as it flicked it away. — "Don’t dare touch me again, woman. You’ve entered this place without any permission. Now, I tell you to leave... Do so while I allow you to walk away safely."

"Safely?... Hahaha~ Why? If I do not obey you what could happen to myself?... What would the Prince do to my- ah?!"

"I told you not to touch me. Are you deaf? Are you ignorant of words, woman?!" — Sickned by how the woman’s hand tried to slip into his collar, persistent in her lewd attitude, Zeleskiaz pushed her away, enraged by her audacity. Taking her by the arm to shake some reason into her head as the limits of his patience were tested by Karina’s unbelievable behaviour. — "Leave my sight right now... be grateful this place is no common one or I would paint the walls with your blood!"

"Gasp! How could you say such- Ack! Your Highness!"

"Leave!" — Almost losing sight of himself at the shameless ways of the woman to try once more to gain a feel of him, Zeleskiaz’s force shoved her to the ground dishevelling the woman’s attire. Realising how his growl was becoming thunderous as wrath invaded him, trying to restrain it as the beast within wanted to impulsively kill the unsightly woman; growling with lower, yet much more terrifying sound and hues after inhaling the last air that would permit him not to smear himself with her death. — "... LEAVE BEFORE I KILL YOU WITH BARE HANDS..."

Karina, already crying from the horror, hurriedly stood with difficulty; opening the door to leave with a trembling body, halting right as she crossed it and running as her own hand covered her mouth to restrain the cries.

Zeleskiaz filled with fury, however, watched from his spot with disrupted breathing her run, taking a moment to release a deep sigh that didn’t shake off all of the revulsion she ignited. Staring at the open door to then curse the sight.

"Haaah... D*mn it..." — He said while holding his head, stomping his way to the door with the intent to close it, and glancing with a step outside in the direction Karina had escaped to frown at the unwanted visit. A grumbled scoff left... However, as he was to close the door to get the privacy to compose himself back to calmness for a beloved, he saw that opposite to the way Karinna escaped... the Lady he had been waiting for stood, looking at him... who had not noticed Karina’s doings had also dishevelled his appearance.

"... M-my Lady..." — With the only soft sound he crafted for her, his scowl dissolved at her arrival, somehow forgetting the displeasure... yet being surprised as the lady drastically turned on her feet to leave. — "?! My Lady? Wait, where are you going-"

"DON’T TOUCH ME!"

"..."

"..."

"My Lady, what- w-why are you leaving..."

"I don’t want to talk to you anymore. Forget anything I said."

"?! Wait! Why?? My Lady you-"

"Get your hands off me! Leave me alone!"

"... however..."

"... sniff... I don’t want to see you... Get away from me." — With the sound he had dreamed to listen... Marianne’s tears told with a glare to the bewildered Crown Prince, who even as he couldn’t understand... tried once more to stop her. Ignorant of the turmoil she experienced within and provoking in the beloved’s shaken spirit a reaction both could not grasp sense...

"No, please, my Lady! Tell me what- *Slap!* ..." — It was to the attempt that almost touched her again... that Zeleskiaz’s cheek received the slap from the woman’s hand... who in tears, shocked by her own movement, bit her lip in pain as she glared strongly at him... fighting the tremble of her chin as she growled with hurt in her voice.

"... I hate you... don’t ever talk or touch me again...!"

Her sweet scent... then ran away from him. Crying, and hurt... Leaving Zeleskiaz behind, in the depths of the abysmal shock her words had thrown him into.

"... hate ...?" — Zeleskiaz managed to mutter as his once brilliant hues darkened to the despair. Feeling how panic commenced to take his breath away for such was the very word... he never wanted to hear from his one and only beloved...

*******

I had run so urgently to go and meet him... Every preparation... from telling Vitor to join those that hid to guard me, to deciding on this gift... the thoughts I placed on every detail of tonight, the efforts and nervousness I’ve been enduring... how I went out of my way to slip from those that wanted to talk to a mute me...

It all felt foolish... even though I repeated myself to be careful... I ultimately became naive to love...

’Finally! I managed to escape those people!’ — Gasping as I sneaked out of the Hall through the path I had previously visited to make sure I wouldn’t get lost, I thought. Blushed and heated... although not sure if it was because of the anticipation or the rush to get to his side. — ’He’s probably still waiting, I should hurry!’

Aware... believing it wasn’t a probability but a fact... I joyfully crossed the empty corridors, gasping as I arrived at the corner that if I passed by it, only a few steps would be left before reaching the agreed room.

"... hf... phew... alright... let’s take a breath... do I look alright?? M-maybe running wasn’t a good idea..." — Feeling how nervousness thickened the more conscious I became of how nothing was left to do but to finally say it... I ironed our skirt... many many times and quickly... lifting my head only to release the nervous air within us to repeat in our head what we’ve been mentalizing ourselves to say. — ’... What we are... I want to declare... N-no, no... we keep saying that but it’s too formal...’

"..." — Feeling Marianne comply with my efforts I felt how both of us now tried to calm down, giving it a last try, at least to organize this confession... we had decided to make.
