Wrong Love, Final Goodbye: She'll Never Look Back-Chapter 349: Zeke Pierce’s True Hidden Illness
Tanya Sinclair lightly tossed the medicine in her hand onto the table.
Her gaze swept over Declan Pierce and his son, curling her lips into a cold smile as the phone call she received from Mason Vance at dawn surfaced in her mind.
’Ms. Sinclair, let me tell you something, don’t be afraid. There have been several groups of people with suspicious movements near our house, but before I could deal with them, they’ve all disappeared! One group gone after another! Should we call the police?’
’No need, don’t worry. Just protect Aunt Tawny and Caden like before.’
The only ones who would be watching her were The Pierce Family. And the only one who would silently remove them was Declan Pierce...
"I provide medicine for Zeke Pierce, and he won’t touch Declan. That’s our agreement," Tanya Sinclair said indifferently. "Other than that, I know nothing and don’t want to know. The medicine has been delivered, so I’ll be leaving now."
As Tanya Sinclair turned around, Zeke Pierce’s voice echoed behind her, filled with bone-chilling coldness.
"My mother, the matriarch of The Pierce Family, disappeared from her own estate! No one but Declan could have done such a thing!"
Tanya Sinclair didn’t even turn her head: "If someone’s missing, you should call the police. Why baselessly accuse Declan? What next, if any of your family catches a cold, you’ll accuse Declan of poisoning you?"
Tanya Sinclair reached the door only to find it locked from the outside.
She frowned slightly and turned back: "Open the door. Otherwise, I’ll call the police immediately!"
She said this as she took out her phone, her expression changing subtly.
—There was absolutely no signal here.
Zeke Pierce slowly wheeled himself towards her.
"What’s the rush? I haven’t finished speaking," Zeke Pierce said sinisterly. "My mother arranged for a total of three batches of people to be around you, totaling fifteen. Do you know what Declan did? He cut fifteen pieces of flesh from my mother!"
Even though she was mentally prepared, Tanya Sinclair couldn’t suppress a surge of chill upon hearing Zeke Pierce’s words.
It was an instinctive, physiological reaction.
Tanya Sinclair forced herself to suppress it.
Zeke Pierce caught the subtle changes in her expression. He laughed softly, with a heavy dose of sarcasm, "Ms. Sinclair, how did you survive? I think you know in your heart. Having died once, a person clings more to life. With the medicine for immortality right in front of you, how could you not want to grasp it?"
"Tanya Sinclair, ask yourself honestly, do you really have no personal motives regarding Declan?"
Tanya Sinclair’s body trembled almost imperceptibly.
Zeke Pierce’s eyes grew more profound, "A monster like Declan... no, I should say, he is a miracle. He can bring people back from the dead! If thoroughly researched, the benefits for you, for me, for the world could be enormous."
"It’s just that he’s too uncontrollable. Once he loses control, all the data in his body becomes unstable. For years, I’ve been trying to find a way to control him. But he turned out to be much smarter than I imagined. And then you appeared. Turns out, the leash on Declan was a woman."
"Ms. Sinclair, work with me," Zeke Pierce extended his hand to Tanya Sinclair. "Help me control him. Not only can I provide you everything you want, your two children, your scientific future, but I can also ensure that if Declan ever loses control, The Pierce Family will protect you and take care of him thoroughly!"
Tanya Sinclair stared at Zeke Pierce, suddenly laughing mockingly.
"It seems I was right after all." Tanya Sinclair’s icy gaze pierced Zeke Pierce, "All these years, you’ve been experimenting on Declan, constantly using his blood to concoct new drugs. What you truly want to cure isn’t your legs, but the fact that you are impotent!"
Zeke Pierce’s face instantly changed, blue veins bulging on his forehead in an instant.
"Shut up!"
