Worldwide Class Change: Minimal Effort, Maximum Reward!-Chapter 92, Into the Wilderness, One Strike Enough to Kill!
The Mountain Range received them the way wilderness always receives hunters. Without ceremony and without concern.
The convoy had departed Celestial City in the early morning, four hours on academy transit vehicles that moved through the outer districts and into the open terrain beyond the city walls. By the time the vehicles stopped and the students disembarked, the range was already visible in full, a landscape of dense forest broken by rocky outcroppings and elevated plateaus, the kind of terrain that rewarded spatial awareness and punished carelessness.
The expedition briefing was short. Grade 6 zone, standard safety protocols, the academy tracking system active through each student’s datapad, emergency extraction available if a student activated their beacon. Instructors positioned at four perimeter stations around the designated hunting area. Six hours from the moment the expedition began. Return to extraction point before the timer expired.
Students dispersed.
Sects moved as units, their coordination visible in the way they positioned as they entered the tree line, scout-type members moving ahead, heavy classes covering the center, support positioned at the rear. Wang Hao was with a temporary grouping of six Level B second-year students he had arranged in the days before departure, a practical decision he had explained to Lin Yi without embarrassment.
"I need the safety buffer and they need someone who knows how to read terrain," he had said. "It works for everyone." He had been right, and Lin Yi had said so.
Lin Yi walked into the trees alone.
The first monster was a Ironhide Lurker, and it didn’t see him coming.
That was not because Lin Yi was hiding. He wasn’t. He was walking at a pace that would be considered unhurried by anyone observing it, through the undergrowth of the Mountain Range’s lower forest sector where the monster density was highest in the level 25 to 35 bracket. The Ironhide Lurker was positioned behind a cluster of boulders, which was where they typically waited, using the elevated ground to ambush prey that moved through the natural pathway below.
Lin Yi moved through the natural pathway below.
The Lurker dropped from the boulders with the violence of a creature that had successfully ambushed many things and had no reason to believe this would be different. Its armor plating was thick, its bone reinforcements visible along the forearms and shoulder joints, its roar beginning to build in its chest as it committed to the attack.
The roar didn’t finish.
Celestial Sword Qi released in a single condensed strand, covering the distance between them in the fraction of a second, and the Ironhide Lurker separated cleanly down the center. Both halves hit the ground at approximately the same time. The roar dissipated into nothing.

Lin Yi noted the number, noted the item drops materializing into the Spatial Storage Token automatically, and kept walking. The Spatial Storage Token had been the critical acquisition. Every drop, every material, every fragment and core and bundle that the wilderness produced, amplified a thousand times by his system and captured in a dimensional space that had no effective upper limit. Nothing was left on the ground. Nothing was wasted.
He had covered approximately two hundred meters when the second monster appeared. A Stone Jaw Wolf, level 28, built for pack tactics and generally dangerous in groups of four or more. It was alone, separated from its pack by something that had happened before Lin Yi arrived, and it sized him up with the threat-assessment instinct that predators develop and then made the error of deciding he was manageable.
One strike.

Lin Yi didn’t hunt. He erased.
The wilderness that once demanded caution from entire squads had, at some point, stopped being dangerous to him. What stood before him now wasn’t survival. It was efficiency. A level 25 monster, something that would normally require coordination, positioning, and careful risk management from mid-tier hunters, couldn’t even complete a full motion before a strand of condensed celestial energy cut through it.
One strike.
Always one strike.
Time blurred. Six hours stretched ahead, but not in the way they stretched for anyone else in the range. There was no fatigue accumulating, no hesitation building in his movements, no resource management required because Eternal Spirit Core had his energy regenerating continuously and the fights ended before depletion became a factor. Phantom Void Step carried him across terrain like a flicker of light, appearing, cutting, vanishing, reappearing elsewhere. The Celestial Lord Blade didn’t strain. If anything, the longer he moved through the range, the more naturally the energy flowed through the weapon, as if sustained use was calibrating it rather than wearing it down.
Each kill was identical. Each result absolute. And each one was worth five hundred thousand EXP at minimum.
He moved through the lower forest sector in the first hour. Ironhide Lurkers, Stone Jaw Wolves, Roaring Boars, a cluster of Crystal Shell Beetles that operated in formations of six and died in formations of six when the Celestial Sword Qi swept wide enough to cover the group radius. The notifications stacked.
