{Chapter: 220 Chaos on Broadway}

New York's iconic Broadway was in utter chaos. A large-scale pursuit was unfolding under the eyes of countless stunned civilians and camera phones. Sirens blared across the city as a green supercar tore through the congested streets at breakneck speed, weaving in and out of traffic like a phantom. It was being chased by a relentless fleet of more than thirty police vehicles—sirens wailing, lights flashing like a swarm of angry wasps.

And that number was growing by the second.

All armed units in New York City had been dispatched. This wasn't a routine traffic stop. The man they were after was believed to be none other than William—now considered the most dangerous individual alive and the most wanted war criminal in the history of mankind.

Gunfire echoed across the street like a symphony of violence. Pedestrians screamed and scattered in panic. Broadway, known for its lights and performances, had turned into a warzone.

"Attention! Supercar ahead!" a voice barked from a police loudspeaker. "Stop immediately and surrender! You are surrounded! Pull over and submit to inspection!"

Inside the speeding green supercar, Ada glanced at the rearview mirror, eyes narrowing.

"There are more behind us now. They're multiplying," she muttered grimly.

William sat calmly, unbothered by the mayhem. "Then use fewer Crosshairs," he said, his tone as cold as steel. "I don't care how you do it. Take a few of them out."

"Boss," came Crosshairs' distorted robotic voice through the speaker, "just sit back and enjoy the show."

Without hesitation, Crosshairs released a torrent of slick lubricating oil from the back of the car. The street behind them became a hazard zone within seconds.

The first police car hit the oil patch at full speed. Its tires screamed as it lost traction and spun violently out of control, crashing sideways into another police cruiser that had just caught up.

BOOM!

The two collided with explosive force, flipping into the air like broken toys before crashing back to the pavement. Flames licked up around the wreckage.

But that was only the beginning. The oil trail caused a domino effect—police vehicles behind them skidded, collided, and piled up into a massive, chaotic wreck. In mere seconds, nearly ten police cruisers were either destroyed or incapacitated.

Ada chuckled. "Crosshairs, that was impressive."

"Thank you for the compliment, mistress," Crosshairs replied with glee. "The curtain's just rising. The best scenes are yet to come."

Suddenly—

BOOM!

A missile exploded nearby, shaking the ground. It came from above.

Ada's gaze snapped skyward. "It's an armed helicopter... no—four of them!"

The armed choppers hovered like vultures, targeting the supercar below.

Crosshairs wasn't amused. "Four helicopters? Do they think I'm a joke?" he growled. "They're underestimating me."

From the sides of Crosshairs' wheels, two sleek mini-missiles emerged and locked onto the airborne threats above.

With a loud whoosh, the missiles launched and streaked into the sky.

The helicopter pilots tried evasive maneuvers, breaking formation to escape—but it was useless. The missiles were equipped with self-targeting systems.

BOOM! BOOM!

Two helicopters exploded midair, their flaming wreckage raining down on the streets below, crashing into nearby buildings and sending plumes of smoke into the sky.

William stood up in the car. "AIM! I'll handle the last two. Open the roof!"

"Got it, boss!" Ada responded, pressing the switch.

The roof of the supercar slid open.

Without hesitation, William launched himself into the air like a human cannonball.

He landed with a deafening crack on the nose of one of the remaining helicopters. The rotors staggered, and the pilot inside looked up—too late.

With a single, brutal punch, William shattered the windshield and reached inside, grabbing the pilot by the collar. He yanked the man out and flung him into the open sky like discarded trash.

Rrrrrr!

The co-pilot screamed and opened fire with a handgun, his bullets bouncing harmlessly off William's hardened body. William leapt inside, slammed his fist into the co-pilot's chest, and hurled him out the door.

The final helicopter turned to engage, its weapon systems whirring to life.

BOOM!

Too slow.

William had already fired a guided missile, blasting it out of the sky before it had the chance to react. It spun wildly before detonating in a fireball, crashing into the street below.

Hovering in the air, William turned his attention back toward the tangled mass of police cars below.

Without a second thought, he launched another volley of missiles, targeting the remaining police vehicles.

One by one, they erupted in flames, Broadway now a storm of smoke, debris, and fire.

Boom! Bang!

One police car after another was sent flying through the air, engulfed in flames and chaos. The deafening roar of explosions, the crackling sound of fire, and the terrified screams of officers and civilians alike echoed through the streets, combining into a haunting symphony of destruction—a scene so overwhelming, it was almost surreal in its intensity.

Inside the green supercar, a sleek, high-performance vehicle that looked more like a futuristic war machine than a street-legal automobile, tension was running high.

"It looks like the military's finally stepped in," Alice said calmly, though her eyes were sharp and focused. "They've actually rolled in the tanks."

Through the tinted windshield, a wall of heavily armored tanks stood in formation, completely blocking off the avenue ahead. Their cannons were already aimed and ready to fire.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The tanks opened fire without hesitation. Massive shells thundered toward the green supercar with explosive force, but Crosshairs, swerved and darted with incredible agility. The vehicle twisted and slid, narrowly dodging the incoming blasts.

With a hiss, the front of the supercar split open. Three compact but deadly missiles shot out in quick succession.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Each missile found its target with lethal precision. Three tanks erupted in pillars of flame and smoke, metal fragments flying in all directions.

"Crosshairs, open the roof. I'm going out," Alice commanded, her voice as cool as steel.

"Madam, this is absolute madness!" Crosshairs protested. "If something happens to you, the boss will skin me alive."

"I'm not nearly as delicate as you think," she snapped. "Now open it. That's an order."

Reluctantly, Crosshairs complied, retracting the roof with a mechanical whir.

Alice leapt up onto the roof of the moving car with effortless grace. As she stood there, wind whipping through her hair, her pupils shifted shape—becoming sharp, triangular glyphs that glowed faintly. Then, with a single breath, she released a shockwave of pure telekinetic force.

A powerful pulse wave surged forward like a tsunami of force, slamming into the line of tanks with immense pressure. The metal behemoths groaned and lifted off the ground, flung backward like toys. Upon hitting the earth, they exploded in rapid succession, a chain of controlled destruction. freёweɓnovel.com

"Madam... I didn't know you were this strong," Crosshairs said in awe.

Alice dropped back into her seat without a hint of emotion. "This isn't strength. This is child's play compared to what he can do."

"You mean the boss?" Crosshairs asked, astonished. "He's not even human anymore."

The green supercar surged forward again, darting through the wreckage. But just as they crossed an intersection, three large off-road military vehicles came barreling from the side streets, converging to box them in.

"You overconfident punks really think you can stop me?" Crosshairs snarled. "Let me show you what I'm made of!"

With a blinding burst of speed, Crosshairs accelerated. The front of the car morphed into a massive spinning electric saw. Sparks exploded in every direction as the blade met metal.

Screeeeeech!

The saw cut through one of the off-road vehicles like butter, slicing it in half with brutal efficiency. The supercar roared through the carnage, unscathed.

Boom!

A sudden explosion lit up the sky behind them. William's stolen helicopter—his temporary aerial fortress—had just been hit by a surface-to-air missile. The shockwave from the blast rocked the surrounding buildings, and debris rained down like deadly confetti.

Above, a deafening roar echoed as over a dozen F-22 Raptor fighter jets streaked across the sky in tight formation, leaving vapor trails in their wake. The missile had been launched by them. Their orders were clear: eliminate the threat.

Standing atop a tall building, William gazed at the incoming fleet of jets with amusement, not fear.

"Looks like the military really takes me seriously," he muttered. "Sending all this hardware... just for me?"

Another missile whistled down from the skies, targeting William's position. But he vanished a split second before impact. The rooftop detonated in a fiery blast, and a third of the building was torn apart in the resulting shockwave.

Then, in an impossible flash, William reappeared—this time above the cockpit of a high-speed Raptor fighter jet.

The pilot turned in shock. "What the hell—!?"

CRASH!

William punched straight through the reinforced canopy, shattering the glass. He grabbed the stunned pilot by the collar and yanked him out of the aircraft. The man screamed as he was ripped into the open sky, tossed to the wind like discarded trash.

With no hesitation, William slid into the pilot's seat and took control. The console lit up, responding to his unnatural aura. He adjusted the targeting system and smirked.

"Let's make this Broadway performance unforgettable."

One by one, he launched missile after missile. The entire city block became a war zone as buildings were struck and annihilated. Landmarks like the Broadway Theatre and St. James Theatre were turned into smoldering ruins in seconds.

For New York City, this was no longer a chase—it had become a war.
