Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree-Chapter 456: Ryan City
Wizard Plane.
Appalachian Continent, Ryan City.
This is a city near Thorny Tower, only tens of kilometers away from it.
As one of the Four Great Wizard Organizations on the West Coast of the Appalachian Continent, the surrounding cities of Thorny Tower are naturally very prosperous.
Unlike Black Sail, which was completely hidden, it stands there, and the shadow of the high tower can be seen from afar.
Ryan City has multiple teleportation arrays, including those to other regions of the Wizard Plane and other planes.
It is said that the spatial structure here is extremely stable, making teleportation witch arrays more stable.
After hundreds of people are teleported here, they appear in an open-air square.
In fact, this is a huge stable teleportation witch array, capable of completing high-intensity cross-plane teleportation work. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
Duke and the others also appeared here, and as soon as they arrived, the originally silent teleportation square suddenly became bustling.
Many wizards expressed relief at finally returning; the familiar atmosphere of the Wizard Plane made them feel comfortable.
This is an experience only those who have stayed in another plane for a long time can feel, and those who have always lived on the Wizard Plane aren’t likely to have much sensation.
As soon as Samuel appeared, he saw people from the Crawford family outside the teleportation square.
As an exceptionally talented descendant of the Crawford family in this generation, he naturally received great attention.
Especially after Bell’s death, the Crawford family had focused even more resources on him.
Samuel didn’t speak but quietly walked out of the teleportation square alone, and after a simple conversation with the few people from the Crawford family who came to greet him, he left directly.
These people were obviously powerful wizards, evidently there to escort Samuel home.
Since Bell’s death, they have paid more attention to protecting promising descendants.
There were quite a few people like this; most of these hundreds were young wizards from various forces, all of whom had people to greet them.
Duke naturally had no one; he seemed somewhat out of place here.
Because he was a wizard from Black Sail, and the forces behind those present were either Thorny Tower or people related to Thorny Tower.
Vivian also had no one to greet her, as Grace doesn’t have the leisure to do such things.
After returning here, Vivian also visibly relaxed, her long-tensed nerves could finally ease a bit.
While in the Devourer Plane, despite being relatively safe within the United Legion and not having to execute particularly dangerous tasks.
Being in a war zone means you can never truly relax; you have to remain alert at all times.
They hadn’t really rested in the Devourer Plane, it was a kind of invisible burden as well.
Now back on the Wizard Plane, feeling the familiar air, their hearts and minds calmed significantly.
"It’s a pity Thorny Tower isn’t open to the public right now; otherwise, I could take you inside for a tour," Vivian said regretfully.
She wanted to take Duke inside to see the place where she usually lives.
Thorny Tower is different from Black Sail, which is never open to the public; outsiders must apply in advance, and approval is not guaranteed.
Generally, only Official Wizards of Black Sail can apply to let their friends inside.
Even then, it’s restricted area; one can’t just wander freely, only officially staying on islands belonging to Official Wizards.
As for associations like Giant Rock Commerce Association, they have different rules due to commercial cooperation.
Thorny Tower is different; it is usually open to the public, and even nearby wizards or ordinary people can stroll inside, very relaxed.
Of course, the open area is only around Thorny Tower; ordinary people still can’t enter the true core area.
It is said the outer area of Thorny Tower is vast, beautiful, and has a scholastic style.
But because of the war in the Devourer Plane, Thorny Tower is temporarily closed to the public.
Because much of their strength is involved in plane warfare, they closed the public access for safety reasons.
"No worries, there will be opportunities in the future." Duke didn’t mind it at all.
Coming from Black Sail, he was used to such restrictions.
So, the two of them just strolled through Ryan City; Frey followed silently behind without speaking, she was very aware of her role being just a servant.
Frey was simply curious, observing this world completely different from the eerie Devourer Plane.
Compared to the Devourer Plane, constantly shrouded in tension and smoke, Ryan City was filled with peaceful and prosperous life atmosphere.
Shops lined the streets, selling various materials, alchemy items, magic potions, and peculiar goods from different planes.
Wizards, dressed in various robes, moved through them, conversations, bargaining sounds, and the faint hums of certain magic devices intertwined, creating a dynamic yet soothing scenes.
The air carried the subtle aromas of coffee, bread, and some herbal scents, delighting the senses.
Duke and Vivian chatted casually, topics now far from war, assignments, or cultivation, just relaxing everyday conversation, enjoying the rare leisure moment.
After approximately an hour of strolling, Vivian brought Duke to the teleportation array leading from Ryan City to Harbor City.
Duke couldn’t linger because after returning a series of reporting procedures and many formalities awaited, somewhat troublesome.
"Contact me anytime if anything comes up," Duke said before stepping inside.
Vivian nodded and replied, "Mm-hmm, I’ll try hard not to fall too far behind you."
She received a lot of care during the plane war; without Duke, she might not have safely walked away from the battlefields of the Devourer Plane.
This also made her realize there was a huge gap between her and Duke, not just in terms of realm or rank but also in actual combat power.
This also invisibly added pressure for Vivian. They initially came to the West Coast together; she even had Grace as a teacher, yet still couldn’t keep up with Duke’s pace.
Feeling her emotions, Duke hugged her and patted Vivian’s back, saying, "Don’t pressure yourself too much, just step by step. I’m moving fast so I can pull you along later."
He couldn’t explain much; being blessed and being ordinary are indeed different, naturally giving Vivian a lot of pressure compared to him.
Vivian nodded, understanding that she shouldn’t have such immense pressure, but instead proceed slowly. The path of cultivation can only unfold gradually.
Rushing leads to problems.
Duke took one last look at Vivian and Frey, waved his hand, stepped onto the teleportation witch array, and disappeared.
