Wizard: I Have a Game Panel-Chapter 514 - 338: The Tide Turns, ’Retaliation’_2
The leader at this moment did not seek the other two overlords to discuss how to deal with the upcoming war. Instead, he prioritized summoning Vio, leaving him somewhat perplexed.
"Tear——"
After speaking, the Space Flower immediately tore open a space rift and swiftly headed towards a Plane Group located thirty-eight thousand seven hundred twenty-two space nodes away.
Ten seconds later, the original space rift had not yet fully healed when another space rift appeared beside the Life Civilization leader.
The one-meter-high Space Flower and a five-meter-tall, blue-green interspersed, sword-shaped leaf plant flew out one after another.
"Leader."
"Greetings, Leader."
The Space Flower and Sword Grass landed in front of the Life Leader, bowing their heads respectfully.
"Hmm," the Life Leader responded and looked at the Sword Grass. With a calm tone, he asked, "Vio, if you became the leader of the Life Civilization, how would you lead the remaining Life Civilization members to survive amid the malice of the overlords?"
In the next battle, he and the other two overlords of the Life Civilization would inevitably be the main targets of the other overlords.
Everyone else might escape, but they definitely couldn’t.
In fact, even including Vio, it was tough for Tier Eight members to escape. However, if Vio suddenly ascended from Tier Eight to Overlord, the scenario would change.
This was the best solution he could think of in the short term, sacrificing himself and the other two overlords to ensure the continuation of the Life Civilization.
Among all the existing Tier Eight members in Life Civilization, Vio was the most conservative and stable entity. As long as his response satisfied the leader, he would be the perfect entrustee.
"This..."
Vio, having heard this, combined with the intelligence the Space Flower had shared on the way, quickly understood the purpose behind the Life Leader’s questions. With a stiffened demeanor and restrained sadness, he said, "I will seek out secluded, undiscovered Plane Groups in Plane Sea to relocate them."
"One Plane Group will hold one Tier Six and multiple members below Tier Six, with one Tier Seven overseeing every hundred Plane Groups."
"I will wander between these Plane Groups, eliminating any creatures finding their whereabouts."
"When new members of the Life Civilization are nurtured and establish contact with the origins of those Plane Groups, the Life Civilization might yet see a glorious day again."
Due to losing contact with the Plane Groups, all those who fled could only reach Tier Six at the highest; no new Tier Sevens could appear. But it was only this group of runaways affected similarly.
Once newborns arise in the new Plane Groups, they will reconnect with new origins there, and the path to Tier Seven will no longer be blocked.
Therefore, even with the loss of the Life Plane Sea, the Life Civilization still has the opportunity to rise again.
"Not bad. After my death, you will be the new leader of the Life Civilization." With a gentle shake, a branch of the Life Leader revealed a leaf full of unimaginable life energy but only half-meter in dimension floating in front of Vio.
The leaf drifted into one of Vio’s leaves and vanished instantly.
"Yes, Leader," Vio’s leaf moved slightly, responding with sorrow.
Previously dreamt Tier Eight Law Treasure now in hand, he found little to cheer about.
Because the change of ownership for this Law Treasure signified the death knell being sounded for the infinitely brilliant Life Civilization anchored in the Life Plane Sea.
"Hmm, wait a moment." The Life Leader nodded slightly towards Vio, then turned to the Space Flower and said, "Go and fetch Nann, Jenny, and Phesy."
Nann and Jenny were the other two overlords of the Life Civilization, while Phesy was the strongest Tier Eight beneath the Life Civilization overlords.
"Understood, Leader." The Space Flower responded, tore another space rift, and left.
Half a minute later.
"Tear——"
Another space rift appeared.
A tree resembling the Life Leader, a roughly a hundred-meter-tall purple flower with mysterious black patterns covering it, and a ten-meter-high plant akin to a sunflower with the Space Flower flew out one after another.
"Old fellow, whose treasure are you planning to give to Phesy?" The purple flower had no respect towards the Life Leader, speaking directly.
Having heard the Life Leader’s arrangement from the Space Flower, he knew calling Nann, Phesy, and him together must mean giving Phesy one of their Law Treasures.
As for the remaining Law Treasure, it would likely remain to confuse the other overlords.
Undoubtedly, he wanted to keep his Law Treasure, so at least he could have a grand fight before his end, didn’t he?
But rationality told him the old fellow’s arrangement was more reliable; for the future of the Life Civilization, he had to listen.
"Greetings, Leader."
"Greetings, Leader."
The other two bowed their heads respectfully to the Life Leader.
"Yours."
The Life Leader, devoid of anger, calmly told the purple flower, "Vio aims to guard and serves as the continuation and survival guarantee for the Life Civilization."
"Phesy’s aim, on the other hand, is to represent my Life Civilization in a reprisal against those Overlord Civilizations and the Silkworm Dream Civilization."
"Your treasure is undeniably suitable for enabling such a reprisal."
"Wait." The purple flower looked at the Life Leader incredulously, "Old fellow, have you gone mad? How to avenge against the Silkworm Dream Civilization? Which Manager can Phesy defeat?"
Though he could understand exacting revenge on the Overlord Civilizations, avenging against the Silkworm Dream Civilization was indeed baffling to him.
"Space-Time Transcender." The Life Leader icily uttered five simple words.
Upon these words, all beings present fell silent.
They naturally knew of that Space-Time Transcender.
But they never expected the leader to have designs on him.
The Life Civilization wasn’t entirely without hope for continuance; however, if the Space-Time Transcender was slain and the Manager stepped in, Life Civilization would truly have no chance of survival!
"Trust me one more time." The Life Leader looked at his five silent kin and softly urged, "Only by Phesy pouring everything into targeting the Space-Time Transcender can my Life Civilization get a glimmer of breathing space."
While vaguely guessing the intentions behind the relentless maneuvers of the Silkworm Dream Civilization, he couldn’t speak them aloud and only ambiguously glossed over them.
Compared to the Silkworm Dream Civilization, the Life Civilization was too weak, entirely subject to its whims, even needing to cooperate actively with its ’arrangements’ to genuinely win the slightest respite.
As for offending the Space-Time Transcender, what happens when he grows...
As long as Vio spreads the seeds of Life Civilization wider, further and then uses himself as bait for the matured Space-Time Transcender to devour, the Life Civilization would successfully ensure its continuation.
Phesy was a tool to appease the Silkworm Dream Civilization, while Vio and all fleeing Life Civilization members with him were bait reserved for the Space-Time Transcender.
Only the new seeds born from each Plane Group represented the future of the Life Civilization.
This was the sliver of hope for survival the Life Leader found for his civilization amid the stage prepared for the Space-Time Transcender by the Silkworm Dream Civilization.
"I trust you." The strongest Tier Eight, Phesy, of the Life Civilization was the first to speak.
Future crafted by the leader at the cost of his own life’s breath was something he considered worthy of trust and only could be trusted.
"I trust you too."
"Alright, then I trust you too."
"I believe in you too."
The remaining Life Civilization members, including the purple flower, spoke one after another.
The next day.
Thirty overlords, hundreds of Tier Eights, and tens of thousands of Tier Sevens simultaneously entered the Life Plane Sea.
The Life Civilization Leader, along with two overlords, fled together, while the remaining Tier Seven and Tier Eight members of the Life Civilization escaped individually, scattering away from the Life Plane Sea.
Thirty overlords collectively pursued the three overlords of the Life Civilization, while the remaining Tier Eights scattered chasing the Tier Eights of the Life Civilization, intent on exterminating all Tier Eights thoroughly.
As for Tier Sevens, they were dealt with if they were encountered but ignored if not.
Tier Sevens were no threat to them as they had lost the favor of the Plane origin.
This battle lasted a year, and of the Life Civilization, two new overlords carrying Tier Eight Treasures escaped successfully, with all others above Tier Eight perished.
Simultaneously, the overlord civilizations listed as targets faced nearly identical treatment as that endured by the Life Civilization.
Yet compared to the Life Civilization, which retained two overlord forces, the outcomes of the other nine Overlord Level Civilizations were far more tragic.
Not even counting as such an Overlord Level, the surviving Tier Eights only numbered a dozen or so when combined.
As for those at Tier Seven and below, more survived due to the rushed pace of this siege.
