Wizard: I Have a Game Panel-Chapter 441 - 302: Absurdity
"Pathfinder?"
"What kind of prodigy?"
"Isn’t this guy supposed to be the strongest genius of their civilization?"
The audience, who were just checking out the top of the arena’s gladiatorial list for entertainment, froze in their tracks at Sanchez’s whisper and began questioning those around them.
Typically, for a top large civilization, producing a Tier Six, Eight Stars genius is considered passable, and during a boom, there might be two or three.
As for Tier Six, Nine Stars, even the overlord civilizations of the Plane Sea find it challenging to cultivate one, it’s a matter of luck.
In the Vast Crystal Domain, throughout an era, there are fewer than ten thousand Tier Six, Nine Stars prodigies.
But from the way that guy in the arena talks, it seems their civilization might have produced one?
"Yes, you can search for a post called ’Shocking, a top unknown civilization...’ which contains detailed information."
"Tsk, it’s truly rare for such a genius to emerge in a large civilization."
"I’m somewhat looking forward to ’Space-Time’ descending on the arena again; I will definitely come to see it by then."
"Haha, me too."
"Compared to ’Space-Time,’ I’m actually more interested in this guy, he’s in the flesh magic category, and just how many holes has Feodor put on his body? Yet there’s not an ounce of pain on his face, is that even reasonable?"
"Hiss—Hearing you say that, I just realized, what has he gone through before?"
"I suddenly remembered something he once said to that Metal Dragon, ’With your current performance, if you dared to retrace my steps, you’d probably be dead by now.’ I thought he was joking back then, but now it seems..."
"Could it be that he wasn’t kidding?!"
Some of the audience who had been watching all along started explaining to the newcomers, while others discussed ’Space-Time’ with anticipation, and some focused entirely on Sanchez’s expression.
The more they watched, the more those focusing on Sanchez became astonished.
For beings of the flesh magic category, the sensation of pain is an inseparable part.
Yet, this guy had countless holes drilled into him by Feodor, without displaying a hint of pain.
There is only one explanation for this situation: he is used to such pain, perhaps even deeper levels of pain.
...
Inside the Transparent Barrier.
"This guy..." Lor listened to Sanchez’s whisper, speechless.
It must be noted that this phrase from Sanchez was the perfect touch, completing the task beautifully.
But he felt that Sanchez’s primary aim wasn’t to complete the task; he just wanted to show off again.
While silently criticizing, he couldn’t help but admire Sanchez.
One must remember that this guy was being beaten up by Feodor, a pain comparable to being sliced by a thousand cuts.
Yet, this guy not only showed no discomfort but also had the leisure to joke around, it’s astonishing.
"Truly Sanchez." Vincentia praised.
"Amazing!" Dragon Bear Ada exclaimed.
Even if it were him, he couldn’t possibly maintain composure in such circumstances.
"Indeed amazing." Eddy nodded in deep agreement.
The council members familiar with Sanchez were left with nothing but admiration.
Though he usually seemed somewhat unreliable, it was only superficial; in reality, he was more resilient than anyone.
...
Inside the arena.
One minute...
Seven minutes...
After eleven minutes, when a beam of light pierced through Sanchez’s head, the Tier Six, Nine Stars challenge was officially over.
From start to finish, his expression remained calm and indifferent.
Paired with the blood holes constantly appearing on his body, it was truly awe-inspiring.
To the point where, by the end, nearly all the spectators fell silent, simply watching Sanchez step by step towards defeat.
Not until a green screen indicating the end of the match appeared before them, did they awake as if from a dream.
...
Wizard Plane, Milton Continent, top-floor study of the Francis Wizard Tower.
Just after exiting the Second World, Francis didn’t rush to convene a small council to inquire Lor about his defenses reaching the threshold of Tier Seven but followed the pre-discussed plan to initiate a communication request with Sanchez.
As soon as the communication request was sent, Sanchez answered, and a screen appeared before him.
"Speaker Francis, would you say my task is complete?" Sanchez asked with a face full of smiles within the screen.
From his expression, one wouldn’t guess he had just gone through something akin to a thousand cuts.
"Yes, you did very well." Francis nodded seriously, giving a positive reply, and then followed up, "Did you choose to undergo the Nine Stars challenge to pave your own path to Tier Six, Nine Stars?"
Though he speculated that this might be Sanchez’s goal, it was just a hypothesis.
To verify it, he needed to ask directly.
"Haha, nothing gets past you." Sanchez grinned, saying, "Indeed, that’s my intention, but I currently have no idea where to start."
"I was planning to ask Speaker Lor if any Abyssal Wizards have reached Tier Six, Nine Stars, but before I could send the communication, yours arrived."
"I already inquired for you." Francis smoothly lied, "He said there is an Abyssal Wizard who reached Tier Six, Nine Stars, but he doesn’t know the specific method, so he refrained from guiding you to avoid leading you astray."
This excuse was so reasonable, it couldn’t be more so; Lor’s caution is constant, known throughout the Wizard Alliance.
