Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?-Chapter 969 - 639: Mongwin’s Holy Spear
The last time the Skyrim Strategy Group saw the waves was in the coastal city of Red.
Since it had been quite a long time without paying attention to Red's situation, everyone had mostly forgotten about the waves.
But now, under Monger's hand, they saw the waves once more.
No, it was a tsunami!
The blood Monger unleashed turned into a burning wave of flames, engulfing the entire palace in the blink of an eye!
This is the Prayer "Blood Donation"!
["Blood King" Monger's sacred prayer, reaching into the Invisible Mother, sprays the mother's blood flames into the outside world, causing them to ignite] 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
[When Monger saw the Real Mother craving wounds deep underground, his cursed blood turned into flames──since then, he has loved the defiling trait he was born with]
When they saw the burning blood sweeping in like a tsunami, everyone's hair stood on end.
The Overlord Warenier would still save his all-encompassing "Divine Wrath" as his big move for later.
But how could Monger start off with such an explosive move?!
In unison, they quickly tore open a Defense Magic Scroll.
Since the magicians in the group specializing in support magic were not present, they could only rely on the few scrolls they had for defense, achieving their peak hand speed in that moment.
An amber-colored circular protective shield instantly appeared on everyone's body. Even with the protection of the shield, they didn't dare to stand still and take the attack. Instead, they kept dodging sideways.
Since the "Blood Donation" unleashed was blood flames, there would always be places with relatively less blood flames. Everyone relied on their eyesight to find those places, striving to minimize the damage to the protective shield.
"Swoosh!"
The blood flames from the Real Mother completely touched the protective shield at that moment. There were no dazzling special effects or collisions, only the blood flames sticking to the protective shield and burning persistently, as the protective magic's color rapidly faded.
The remaining blood flames that fell to the ground burned fiercely, likely to cause unpredictable consequences with just a touch.
"High Tier Purification!" Luluwo swung the magic wand hidden in her sleeve, and a gentle magic light instantly enveloped her entire body, pushing the blood flames clinging to the protective shield to the ground with external force.
The effect of this High Tier Purification magic is to expel designated objects from the caster's side, and it can also enhance one's resistance to magic-type attacks.
"This move works, it has effect!"
An attack covering the entire field meant that its power would definitely decrease, so the blood flames on their protective shields could be cleared!
Tami and the others also cast purification-type magic, but theirs couldn't reach High Tier, only hovering around Mid-tier, although casting it twice consecutively barely achieved the effect of High Tier.
As an adventurer team that had started to operate on a large scale, the Skyrim Strategy Group implemented a set of mandatory and recommended magic and combat skills for members to learn, along with a list of items to carry during adventures.
There weren't many mandatory learning items, but they were all top-notch, such as Golden Stone Oath and Golden Tree Oath, as well as practical and low-cost small skills like Rapid and Low Tier Healing. Purification-type magic, of course, was included.
Members of the Skyrim Strategy Group were generally divided by profession, but individually, they were all versatile when playing at lower levels.
Of course, the consequence of this is that they might not be able to reach the pinnacle of any single profession due to lack of specialization.
"Better safe than sorry!"
When the blood flames on the ground dissipated, everyone chose the right point and advanced towards Monger from all directions, but they did not rashly launch an attack.
So far, it was unclear what tactics the opponent employed, Monger seemed like a magician yet lacked no strength, and the Blood King Fork could easily smash someone's head open.
This was the moment of probing for the adventurers.
But Fudolin didn't care about that now.
After the previous encounter, she sensed Monger's strength, so she couldn't hold back.
The opponent was an immensely powerful being, and even though what appeared in the Sain Dungeon might not be Monger's true strength, it was still a lethal threat to the few people there now.
"Roar!"
Fudolin let out a skyward dragon roar for the first time, red scales squeezed and stacked on her fists forming exaggeratedly proportioned gauntlets like in a heroic manga. With a burst from her feet, she charged toward Monger, trailing a blaze like molten lava behind her!
Monger lifted his Mongwin's Holy Spear with a crisp and fierce motion, not dodging any of the enemy's attacks, much like the Ambela Star People, fully displaying the composure of a king.
Solely by fine-tuning the angle, Mongwin's Holy Spear caught all of Fudolin's attacks!
At the same time, Monger drew a flame claw mark across his front with one hand.
In an instant, the claw mark burst on Fudolin's chest, shattering the scales stacked there and triggering a rampage of her internal blood.
"Ugh!" Fudolin immediately sensed the danger and hastily retreated. She had a premonition that if her scales hadn't blocked the attack just now and the explosion had hit her directly, it would have caused a hemorrhage within her body!
Damn, meeting such a bizarre ability that disregarded defense, when she thought her physique was invincible, made her unable to fight with full force.
As she retreated, Monger finally took a step forward, chasing her while wielding Mongwin's Holy Spear!
Each swing carried immense weight and force, capable of splitting mountains and rocks, a stark contrast to the elegant swordsmanship of the Blood Nobles.
Fudolin didn't try to meet his attacks head-on, utilizing her mobility to maneuver around Monger.
Unexpectedly, with a fling of his hand, Monger poured forth several interlacing blood rivers, and his giant-like frame swiftly moved through them like a flash, appearing by Fudolin's side in the blink of an eye!
As a king of the Blood Nobles, it was understandable and reasonable for Monger to use blood for rapid movement!
The thick Holy Spear clashed with the dragon scales, splintering and sending Fudolin flying backward, crashing through several stone pillars before coming to a stop.
"Boom, boom, boom!"
As buildings collapsed and stirred up dust, a red glow emerged from the smoke. Tami had somehow appeared behind Monger, holding Fanlei's bouquet, unleashing the combat skill Blood Collection at the enemy's back.
He had witnessed its power; if the same power could apply to Monger, it could significantly alleviate the pressure on the entire battle.
However, their opponent was also adept with blood.
Monger didn't even bother acknowledging Tami, his body flashing and moving along the blood river to another location.
As Tami stumbled forward, the blood at his feet suddenly ignited, enveloping him in blood flames, obscuring his condition.
The Skyrim Strategy Group launched their offensive then, smartly opting for ranged attacks.
Monger, in that moment, slashed blood claw marks in all directions, which instantly erupted into an intricate web of defensive blood flames around him, dazzling and bewildering, swallowing the adventurers' attacks without a trace.
It appeared to be a one-sided battle, enveloping the adventurers with an oppressive aura.
But when the claw marks vanished, Monger didn't attack Luluwo and the others but abruptly turned to defend, as Fudolin had suddenly appeared beside him with an even larger fist crashing down!
This was Luluwo's tactic, using her attack to obscure Monger's sight, giving Fudolin the chance to approach him.
Useless! Monger raised the Holy Spear, steadily defending against Fudolin's attack, the spear shaft trembling slightly under the intensified assault but showing no sign of fatigue.
Unexpectedly, layers of lava explosions erupted before Monger.
Not just one explosion, but a series of continuous explosions!
The fists formed by Fudolin's stacked dragon scales unleashed immense power under the layered lava blasts, an improvised strategy she devised against Monger's defense.
This move, genuinely injured the opponent!
As the explosions subsided, Fudolin retreated from around Monger, gathering dragon scales on her arms again and smirking; repeating this strategy might just lead to victory, she really was a genius!
"Well done!" The Skyrim Strategy Group cheered and supported her.
"Three."
Monger's voice suddenly appeared.
Simultaneously, a layer of crimson aura enveloped everyone, as though signifying some ritual.
"What's this?"
They looked towards the center of the explosion and saw Monger was...
Raising Mongwin's Holy Spear with both hands.
