Chapter 938: Chapter 938: The Dress Wasn’t Designed for You

He wore a black suit, looking dignified, his demeanor gentle, and when his eyes met with yours, it felt as though a spring breeze was warming you.

"Nathan." Gia greeted him.

"I brought you rabbit meat, keeping my promise." He had queued for two hours to buy it.

"Thank you!" Gia was influenced by his presence, her smile radiant as she reached out to take one of the bags, which contained two rabbits. "You remembered?" 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

"Of course, I even called to ask that day."

The other two were meant for Rhiannon Xavier, promised last time, to bring some for his sister too, so she wouldn’t trouble Gia as much.

Sometimes, even a small gesture from Nathan towards her made Rhiannon extremely happy.

"Did you take your herbal medicine on time today?" He asked caringly, sitting down on a small stool beside her, planning to keep her company for a while.

"I did."

He turned his gaze, "Is it bitter?" The beautiful sunset bathed her in its glow, and looking at her up close, her skin appeared white and delicate, not a pore in sight.

Gia turned her gaze and happened to lock eyes with the man’s deep and passionate eyes... In that second, time seemed to stand still.

The girl was as beautiful as ink jade, clear and spirited, giving Nathan a long-lost, familiar feeling, and for a moment, he was lost in thought.

"Have we... met somewhere before?" He murmured softly.

Gia was slightly stunned, then laughed openly, "Are you asking me? I have amnesia, you couldn’t possibly have forgotten too, could you?"

After speaking, she widened her eyes, putting away her smile, and looked at him earnestly, "Young Master Xavier, take a good look, have you seen me before?" She also wanted to know who she was.

Though her appearance had changed, her eyes remained the same.

She had a beautiful pair of eyes, bright and clear, truly deep and captivating, and as Nathan looked at her, he felt an indescribable sense of familiarity.

Like a whirlpool, it captivated him, stirring a desire to protect her.

Just looking at her, Gia finally felt her ears burning, she looked away, gazing at the fish in the pond, reminding him, "It’s time to deliver the rabbit meat to your sister."

But Nathan had nothing more to say to her, feeling at a loss for words, he stood up gently, "It’s getting late, head back to your room soon, you’re still taking medicine, don’t catch a chill."

She looked up at him, "Alright."

With a smile, Nathan picked up the bags and walked away.

When he arrived at his sister’s place and gave her the rabbit meat, Rhiannon couldn’t have been more delighted, "Thanks, brother!" She took the bag with both hands, so happy she could almost take flight.

The whole day, from the moment she received that dress, she was immersed in happiness!

And now, her happiness had just doubled!

"By the way, bro, the dress is beautiful!" Not waiting for him to scold her, she started the conversation, "Were you very busy today? You didn’t reply to my WeChat, did you see the photo I sent?"

Nathan, who was about to leave, just looked at her.

"The dress is really pretty, and it actually fits well without any alterations. I really like it! Want me to try it on for you now?" She said eagerly, wanting to keep him a little longer.

The man’s thin lips parted, his voice gentle yet cool, "The dress wasn’t meant to fit you."

"It’s okay, just a tiny bit." She laughed shyly, "I’ve been indulging lately, gained just a little, you didn’t notice, did you?"

Nathan didn’t want to beat around the bush, "The dress wasn’t designed for you at all."

"...!" The girl was taken aback, looking at him in disbelief, yet there was no hint of joking in her brother’s eyes.

"The dress was sent to my place, I’m not sure how you managed to intercept it." He stated candidly.

Her mind quickly churned as she asked, "Then... who was it meant for?"
