Chapter 933: Chapter 933: Inviting Her to Be His Date

Nathan Xavier, with his unrivaled good looks and elegant demeanor, gently asked, "How’s the rabbit meat?" thus starting today’s conversation.

"I just tried it this afternoon, and it was particularly delicious," she replied honestly. "The old man also had some, very fragrant, not spicy at all."

He smiled warmly, "I’ll bring some more for you all when I return from my business trip tomorrow."

"Well, thank you in advance." Gia replied casually. Could this Young Master Xavier, busy as he is, really remember to bring her rabbit meat?

"If possible, could you also bring a portion for Miss Xavier?" she suggested.

"Sure," he agreed.

Soon, Gia heard other voices from his end, as if someone had come to report work to him.

Nathan didn’t continue chatting with her; he simply said goodbye and hung up the phone.

Nathan received an invitation to Old Master Lancaster’s birthday banquet. The design was grand and exquisite, and only then did he realize Grandpa Lancaster had turned 80.

He would certainly attend, and he’d bring a female companion along.

So he wouldn’t be asked when he was getting a girlfriend anymore? He didn’t want to hear those uncles constantly introducing their daughters; bringing a companion would save him a lot of trouble.

The circle is only so big, and most people in the financial circle know each other.

Old Master Lancaster’s birthday - his father, Simon Xavier, would also attend, having received another invitation.

By evening.

He hadn’t yet left for his business trip and hadn’t bought a second portion of rabbit meat. After returning home, he went straight to Gia’s place.

"Good evening, Young Master."

Hearing the servant’s greeting, Gia turned her head and saw a tall and slender figure walking toward her.

"Young Master Xavier," she stood up, having just finished brewing medicine, and looked at him with a smile.

The man stepped over the threshold. "Have you taken your medicine?"

"Just about to," Gia picked up the bowl beside her, half-filled with thick traditional medicine that she had brewed herself.

Under Nathan Xavier’s watchful gaze, she drank the pleasantly warm medicine in one gulp. It was bitter, but she didn’t complain.

"Here," he handed her a candy.

The girl paused, then glanced up with a smile, "Thank you." She took the candy, unwrapped it, and placed it in her mouth in front of him.

The sweet flavor instantly masked the bitter taste of the medicine.

"There’s something I’d like to ask for your help with," Nathan said softly.

Gia’s bright, clear eyes looked at him, "Go ahead."

"Will you be my companion at a banquet?"

"..." This was unexpected to her.

Afraid she might misunderstand, Nathan quickly added, "In such settings, if I don’t bring a companion, many elders will start asking questions. It’s just me trying to keep things simple. We can leave after about an hour, and if you wish to leave sooner, just let me know."

He sounded sincere, genuinely needing her help.

Having stayed with The Xavier Family for some time, her life was saved by them; she ate, drank, and even had a new phone from them.

So, with such a request from him, she couldn’t refuse.

However, she had her concerns, "But I’ve never been to such grand occasions... I’m afraid I’ll mess things up for you."

"You won’t," Nathan assured her, confident in her. "As long as you agree to help me, I’ll arrange for a dress. You’re so beautiful, with such a presence, that even if you don’t say a word, you’ll fulfill the task perfectly."

"Alright then, I agree to help you." She smiled at him. "Let me know a day in advance, so I can prepare."
