When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster-Chapter 845: The Happy Lancasters
In the evening, the afterglow of the setting sun bloomed across the sky, like a massive palette painting the heavens in a golden hue.
The beautiful Lancaster Family’s villa was bathed in this sunset light, ethereal and luxurious.
A gleaming Lamborghini parked in the yard, its body reflecting the sunset glow, exuding an air of prestige.
Adrian Lancaster hadn’t worked overtime in a long time; he spent every day witnessing his daughter’s growth.
He personally prepared baby food for his daughter, busying himself in the kitchen for quite some time, trying new recipes.
Little Joy’s appetite grew better and better; she became more and more fond of eating and blossomed into a more radiant and beautiful child.
Her hair was jet black and thick, her skin fair and plump, and her eyes sparkled like black gems, vibrant and full of spirit.
Today, Adrian Lancaster took just half an hour in the kitchen to make an apple spinach steamed cake and mushroom pork porridge for his daughter, along with a few thin slices of peach as post-meal fruit.
Little Joy couldn’t wait; seeing her father appear with the tray, she waved her hands and feet, babbling in her own language.
Faye Turner cradled Little Joy on the sofa as Adrian Lancaster, removing his apron, walked over with the baby food tray. He had not only cooked it himself, but he was also going to personally feed her.
This was President Lancaster’s happiest moment.
"Wow, Dad’s cooking skills are getting better and better." Faye Turner praised, inhaling the aroma of the baby food, "It looks, smells, and tastes great; I even want to try it."
"I made extra, so you really can try it." Adrian Lancaster said happily, "Thank you, my dear, for your approval."
"Sure."
Just as they were about to finish feeding the baby, Faye’s nearby phone rang; it was her mother-in-law, Eliza Hayes, video calling via WeChat.
"It’s Mom." She glanced at the screen and informed Adrian, quickly hitting the answer button, "Hello, Mom."
After greeting, she hurriedly brought the phone in front of Little Joy, "Look at Grandma, do you recognize her?"
Little Joy, holding a thin slice of peach in her hand, was extremely interested in the living image on the phone, stretching out her small hand to grab at it, her adorable little mouth grinning as she wiggled her little bottom in excitement.
Clearly, she recognized Grandma!
Faye Turner, noticing the exotic scenery in the background of the video, commented on the vast fields of lavender behind her mother-in-law.
"Mom, where are you and Dad now? The scenery looks great." Faye smiled broadly, having a hunch but not daring to confirm.
Adrian Lancaster put down the tray, sat beside his wife, and appeared on the screen too, "Mom." He greeted his mother with a smile and warmth.
"Adrian, Faye, your dad and I are in Solange." Eliza Hayes, dressed in a red dress and wearing a hat, turned the camera towards the distant Caleb Lancaster, who was taking scenic photos with a camera.
Dad’s tall and sturdy figure seemed in great spirits.
As the camera panned, it revealed a glimpse of Solange’s beauty, located in southeastern France, famous for its lavender.
Its magnificent natural landscapes and rich cultural arts are truly captivating.
"The scenery over there is great, and the weather looks nice too." Faye said, looking at the blue sky, white clouds, and the expansive fields of purple lavender.
"Yes, we’ve been here for a week and haven’t seen a drop of rain." Eliza Hayes asked them, "How’s everything at home? Is everything well?"
"All is well, rest assured," Faye was in great spirits, her face reflecting happiness, "Adrian’s work isn’t so hectic now, no more late nights or overtime; he’s even sleeping earlier, so you can rest easy."
"It’s truly thanks to you for teaching him about wellness." Eliza Hayes was filled with gratitude, "Faye, entrusting you with my son really puts my mind at ease. Nowadays, many young people are so busy working that they neglect their meals, and it’s easy for their health to deteriorate."
