The two female employees widened their eyes, then exchanged glances, momentarily thinking they misheard, and gathered the courage to look at the chairman again.
The chairman’s face was ashen, his cold eyes dark like an ancient well, unfathomable.
"..." The two of them trembled and lowered their heads. Usually, it was an honor to even see the chairman, and today they were actually caught.
"Secretary Sherman is President Fletcher’s wife, they’ve registered their marriage! Who should accompany him on a business trip if not his wife, you two?!" Ian Fletcher was truly angry, glaring at them, "Not working properly! Always gossiping about others! Which department are you from?!"
And those words, unerringly, drifted into the ears of Jasmine Quinn, who was approaching, holding a glass of water not far behind.

As the chairman, Ian Fletcher was naturally angry hearing such things, as it affected the company’s atmosphere.
"Chairman, let me handle this," a high-ranking executive behind him spoke up.
"Punish them as they deserve!"
"Yes."
He couldn’t be bothered to waste words with the young employees, leaving with a stern face, the only sound in the hallway their footsteps.
The high-ranking executive who spoke earlier stood in front of the two female employees and said in a low voice, "Write a review, deduct your salary, and dock your supervisor’s performance." He glanced at their badges, knowing immediately which department they were from.
The two young employees quickly made way, faces pale, knowing there was no use pleading now, and grateful they weren’t being fired.
So they began to digest the fact that Secretary Sherman is President Fletcher’s wife!!
President Fletcher married Secretary Sherman???
In an instant, this news spread throughout the entire company, and no one could believe it, except for Ben Fletcher.
"Married?" Ben Fletcher in the office was suddenly very happy, "The eternally single guy finally coupled up?"
It seems it’s really time to prepare the wedding gift money; hosting the wedding should be just around the corner, right? Maybe I’ll be tasked with organizing it too?
In the afternoon, Chase Fletcher and Rachel Sherman returned from their business trip.
Jasmine Quinn was completely frantic, more unwilling than anyone to accept this fact, just waiting for Rachel Sherman to return so she could question her clearly!

Rachel stood her ground, her back straight. Jasmine Quinn stopped half a meter in front of her and directly asked, "What is your relationship with my Chase?!"
"It’s the relationship you heard." Rachel replied softly, "You must have heard something, which is why you’re so mad, right?"
"He’s my man, don’t you know?!" Jasmine Quinn seemed about to crush the cup in her hand.
Rachel noticed the cup she was holding, steaming and likely very hot, so she heightened her alertness, her peripheral vision fixed on Jasmine’s wrist movements.
"Miss Quinn, if he is your man, then why did he register for marriage with me?" Rachel still clarified her stance, "So please stop being unreasonable, I also know very well what your and Chase’s relationship is."
