Chapter 831: Chapter 831: Got the Marriage Certificate

Before long, Chase Fletcher, having just buttoned up his pajamas, opened the bedroom door a crack, "What’s up so early?"

"Young master, these are the couple outfits rushed out last night, just delivered by the tailor shop. Madam suggested wearing new clothes to register for good luck." The servant said with a smile.

Chase Fletcher reached out his hand, and as the servant handed the clothes to him, they chuckled, saying, "Congratulations, congrats!"

He took the two outfits into the room, and the servant, looking at the gently closed door, confirmed that Miss Sherman must have slept with the young master last night.

"What’s going on, what’s going on?" Downstairs, Mrs. Fletcher urgently whispered to the servant.

The servant hurried downstairs, smiling joyfully, nodded, and spoke softly, "Yes, in the master bedroom, both sets were taken inside."

Mrs. Fletcher’s heart was filled with joy, "Finally, they’re sleeping together. Looks like I’ll be having grandchildren soon. How wonderful it will be to have both kids cared for together!"

The servant also felt that the house was becoming more and more cozy.

Rachel Sherman and Chase Fletcher came downstairs around 7:30, wearing customized couple outfits, matching beautifully, hand in hand as they appeared at the corner of the stairs.

"Dad, Mom."

"Uncle, Auntie."

Sitting on the living room sofa downstairs were two men and a woman in dark blue uniforms, obviously civil servants, with badges on their chests.

Chase Fletcher and Rachel Sherman turned around, exchanged a glance, and then walked downstairs.

"Friends from the civil office, I’ve invited them over," Mr. Fletcher spoke gently, "Come and sit down, let’s sign and complete the process."

Mr. Fletcher had arranged everything, knowing they didn’t want to go public for now; Rachel had just joined the company with her own work pressures.

She was a highly ambitious girl, hoping to prove herself through her work capabilities.

The process was simple, after coming downstairs, everyone exchanged quick greetings.

Then they started filling out forms, signing them, taking group photos, with the entire process recorded, very formal, finally receiving two red certificates as per the usual procedure.

"Thank you, thanks for your work."

The Fletcher family saw off the staff.

"I’ll start preparing for the wedding." Chase Fletcher held the marriage certificate, promising Rachel in front of their parents, "What kind of wedding do you want? You can tell me; I’ll strive to achieve it. Or maybe it’ll be like a surprise box, I’ll put my heart into preparing a surprise for you."

Rachel looked at the marriage certificate in her hand, then raised her eyes to look at him, still somewhat dazed—married again?

"Well... there’s no rush for the wedding, we can wait a bit." She smiled at everyone, "Let’s wait till I get a hang of my work first, and besides, you’re quite busy lately."

"Rachel, does that mean you could change your address now?" Mrs. Fletcher said gently, handing her a red envelope, "Welcome to the Fletcher family."

Rachel accepted it with both hands, her heart really heavy with gratitude, "Thank you, Mom."

"Rachel, here’s Dad’s red envelope." Mr. Fletcher was more generous, handing out a card directly, "The password is the last six digits, for the betrothal gift ask Chase, this is just a gesture from Dad, five million, welcome you to be a part of our family."

Five million????

Upon hearing the number, Rachel quickly withdrew her hand that was just reaching out, "This... this is too... too much, isn’t it?"

Mr. Fletcher chuckled and shook his head, "Not too much, go ahead and take it."

Chase Fletcher helped her extend her hand, placing the card back in her hand, "It’s from Dad. No matter the amount, it’s Dad’s intention. Even if he gave one dollar today, we should accept it, right?"

But this isn’t one dollar!

One dollar, of course, you’d accept.

Rachel was obliged to hold the card, glancing at the man beside her, "...", her mind was kind of overwhelmed at that moment.

But she quickly thanked Mr. Fletcher, "Thank you, Dad."

"You’re welcome."

She herself also received the same treatment as Mrs. Lancaster? What have I done to deserve this?

But Rachel quickly regained her composure, holding the card and looking at Mr. Fletcher, she spoke again, "Thank you, Dad. I will save this money."

"Feel free to spend it," Mr. Fletcher said, "Money is external to our lives, you can’t take it with you in life and you can’t bring it in death. In this short life, we should strive to live well."
