Chapter 828: Chapter 828: A Father’s Heart

Rachel Sherman always feels like she’s falling apart these days, so stressed that she can’t see any of her own merits.

Perhaps Chase Fletcher is just too outstanding; loving someone can easily lead to feelings of inferiority.

She wants to contribute to his company and help, but almost ended up making a mess of things, and the days ahead also seem fraught with difficulty, requiring constant vigilance.

Thinking about this, she walked into The Fairy Tale Nook, hoping to relieve some stress and change her mood.

Just after greeting the shop assistant, she saw Kylie Fletcher sitting by the window, lost in thought. Initially thinking she was mistaken, she focused and realized it was indeed her.

Rachel approached her, "Kylie?"

As she ate a small cake, Kylie Fletcher looked up at the sound, "Sister-in-law?" Her eyes lit up with surprise and delight, "What brings you here? Come, sit down!"

Seeing her improved Rachel’s mood as well; she smiled and sat down across from her.

"Sister-in-law, you know about this shop too?" Kylie glanced at the door, "Where’s my brother? Did you come alone?"

Before Rachel could answer, the shop assistant Shannon brought over two drinks and a small cake, "Boss, this is a new item, please try it!"

"Hmm, okay." Rachel replied softly, "You can go about your work."

Kylie was surprised, "Boss?" and then looked around, "Is this tasteful dessert shop yours?"

"To be specific, Faye Turner and I opened it together; we started it in our freshman year of college." Rachel told her, "After a few years, it gradually picked up, and it’s doing quite well now."

"Wow, this is a trendy little shop! More than just well, it’s practically the king of dessert shops."

"Yes." Rachel was quite pleased, "Celebrity effect; many people come because of Faye Turner."

"Your classmates must be envious of you, doing nothing but collecting money at home." Kylie was also keen on starting a side business.

She admired her sister-in-law, "Actually, I also dream of opening a cake shop, but alas, I can only eat, not make them."

Rachel laughed and asked her, "Interested?"

"Yes, indeed."

"If you’re interested, you can start it; we weren’t overthinking it back then."

"Lately, I’ve been a bit busy with the production team."

Rachel chatted with Kylie about her initial thoughts when opening the shop, and Kylie listened with great interest.

Then, they clinked their coffee cups, and Rachel realized that Kylie was also alone tonight.

"Kylie, are you not feeling well today?" Women are always sensitive to such things, and Rachel noticed.

"A little, but I’m much better now." The girl forked a piece of cake into her mouth, "When you’re in a bad mood, you should eat something sweet."

"Yes, yes, eat more if you like it."

The two women encouraged each other and chatted... both of their worries gradually fading away.

Adrian Lancaster hasn’t been working overtime lately; he longs to hold his daughter for at least three hours each day.

He personally makes baby food for her in the kitchen, using the healthiest ingredients, changing flavors daily, all nutritionally balanced.

Making it himself wasn’t enough; he insisted on feeding her personally. The sight was incredibly heartwarming.

"Sweetie, open your little mouth. Isn’t the baby food daddy made the most delicious in the world?"

"Yes, yes, yes." Faye Turner answered for their daughter.

Adrian sat in the chair in front of the sofa, patiently feeding her spoonful by spoonful, full of pride, "Little one, you must grow up quickly, and accompany daddy in running, swimming, and playing chess in the future."

"Honey, have you considered that when the child grows up, she’ll have to get married?" Faye Turner posed him a particularly poignant question, "When Joy gets married, you might cry, right?"

"Don’t dare to think, don’t dare to think, simply don’t dare to think." Adrian’s mood suddenly dropped, "I want to find a man who can marry into our family."
