When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster-Chapter 820: Last Hope
The next morning.
The parents who were escorting the exam takers were all dressed to the nines, with many mothers wearing cheongsams, competing to shine.
They became a beautiful scenery at the school gate.
Milo Turner has been genuinely working hard lately, so he did well in every subject, making his family very happy.
His sister, brother-in-law, and his mother, Teacher Gable, were all accompanying him.
He didn’t let Adrian Lancaster down with his tutoring; the recent tutoring was very effective, and the child seemed to have changed his fate.
The college entrance exam just ended.
Adrian Lancaster drove Faye Turner home and then said he had to go to the company. On the road, he dialed a number and went directly to a certain club.
In the spacious reception hall, it was empty and quiet.
Adrian Lancaster stepped in with large strides, and the person who had been waiting inside for a long time respectfully greeted him, "Hello, boss."
As he passed by the coffee table, he glanced at the pile of thick, mountainous materials on the table, then sat down on the sofa.
The three people around him hung their heads and stood respectfully on either side, feeling guilty for not accomplishing the task. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
One of them reported, "All of these are DNA test reports, none have successfully matched so far."
The pile was very high, very thick, with over ten thousand pieces.
Adrian Lancaster leaned back on the sofa, crossed his legs, and gazed at the thick pile, a sense of helplessness and confusion enveloped him in an instant.
This feeling was unprecedented.
The subordinates were waiting for him to announce the next plan, but... Adrian Lancaster couldn’t see any hope.
He slowly closed his eyes, tilted back his head.
About five minutes later, he opened his eyes and got up to leave, not leaving any instructions.
The subordinates turned their eyes to his departing figure, faces full of confusion.
Half an hour later, the Lamborghini stopped in the courtyard of The Lockwood Old Manor, the driver’s side door opened, Adrian Lancaster got out and walked toward the camphor tree.
Under the old, massive, and lush camphor tree, the old man was practicing Tai Chi, accompanied by two subordinates.
Seeing him, they respectfully saluted, "Hello, young master."
"Grandpa." His gentle and humble gaze fell on the old man.
The old man focused his mind, finished the last move, turned his eyes to him, then glanced behind him and at the car not far away.
"You came back alone?" The old man looked at him with a puzzled gaze, "Looking for grandpa for something?"
"Yes." Adrian Lancaster hurriedly said, "Your friend, the Taoist master, where exactly is he? I want to find him to calculate something."
"Which Taoist friend?"
"The Taoist who made you believe unwaveringly in my marriage with Faye." Adrian Lancaster didn’t believe in these things before, but now... he didn’t want to miss any shred of hope.
The old man was curious, "Calculate what?" Sitting in the chair nearby, he picked up the teapot and poured tea.
"Calculate where Faye’s biological father and mother are." He said frankly.
The old man’s action of holding the teapot paused slightly, looking up at him, "So Adrian, the recent large expenditure on the company’s accounts was spent on searching for people?"
"Yes." Adrian Lancaster wasn’t surprised that his grandfather was monitoring the accounts.
"No clues at all?"
"None." He was really anxious, thinking of this matter made him feel useless.
The old man knew that this kind of thing might not even be accurately calculated.
Previously, the old man said that Faye and Adrian were perfectly matched because he liked this girl personally, recognized her at first sight, and always thought she was very good, hence she was good.
As long as the Taoist didn’t say anything particularly opposing, it was support and approval.
"Grandpa, please give me the address." Adrian Lancaster didn’t even want to sit down and have tea with his grandfather.
He was in a hurry, wanting to know the answer quickly.
"Alright." The old man also didn’t keep him, told him an address, and didn’t say much more, silently savoring his tea.
"Thank you, Grandpa, I’m leaving now." Adrian Lancaster saluted then turned to leave.
