Chapter 757: Chapter 757: Prepared the Meeting Gift

Faye Turner had just stepped out of the elevator and hadn’t even taken two steps forward when she caught sight of Adrian Lancaster.

Under the moonlight, beside the Lamborghini, he stood with one hand in his pocket, striking a handsome pose against the car. In that moment, he was incredibly, incredibly charming.

She was momentarily stunned, then returned to her senses, quickly striding towards him, "Adrian, when did you get here? You didn’t even send me a text. You’ve been waiting for a long time, haven’t you?" Her anxious tone was full of concern.

It felt like he had been here for ages, as the car was already turned off.

Upon seeing her, Adrian Lancaster’s eyes were filled with warmth. He affectionately ruffled her hair and smiled, "I just arrived." He turned and helped her open the car door, guiding her into the seat.

The evening breeze blew, carrying the faint scent of herbal medicine from her, making him feel immensely comforted.

Adrian Lancaster returned to the driver’s seat, started the car, and gently inquired, "How did it go? Are you ready?"

"I’m ready. I made two pale pink chrysanthemums, and I even took some photos. Do you want to see them?" As she spoke, she showed him the pictures on her phone, always willing to share everything with him.

He held the steering wheel with one hand and took the phone she offered with the other, glancing at the photos. "Very beautiful, very realistic," he praised as soon as he spoke.

"Do you think they’ll pass?" Faye Turner asked nervously on behalf of Rachel Sherman.

"It should be fine," Adrian Lancaster replied. "Many middle-aged women like chrysanthemums because they symbolize noble purity, tranquility, genuine sentiments—these beautiful qualities."

"I like chrysanthemums too, elegant and noble flowers among the bunch." As the car headed home, Faye Turner leaned against the seatback and asked him, "Is our daughter asleep?"

"She was just falling asleep when I left, so I guess she’s asleep now." Every time he mentioned his daughter, a proud and gratified smile appeared on his face.

As if of all the daughters in the world, he had the only one.

With one hand on the steering wheel, he reached out to hold Faye’s hand, gently interlocking fingers.

A song started playing in the car, and its lyrics suited the moment perfectly—

Want to sing my love to you, while we’re still youthful like flowers, let them bloom freely, embellishing your years and my branches, who could ever replace you?

Let’s love to the fullest while we’re young, my dearest one, no matter how long the journey, let’s be together...

Outside, a gentle warm breeze blew in, the city’s night scene glimmered. The wind opened up smiles on their lips, and the happiness radiating from their eyes was truly heartfelt.

I’ll sing my love to you, give me your pure and innocent smile, we should have joyful, happy, sunny days.

I’ll sing my love to you, let my fervent feelings move you, okay?

Night, slowly deepened...

The nanny brought June back at ten o’clock, and now the little one was already quietly asleep. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

The nanny also left.

Rachel Sherman emerged from the shower, dried her hair, and admired the two chrysanthemums she had just finished, finding them more beautiful with each glance.

In the blink of an eye, tomorrow arrived, Friday came.

In the morning, Rachel, as usual, went to Granny Hughes’ house, carrying her gimbal and camera. Just upon entering the courtyard, she saw a young man playing with a kitten. The sunlight fragmented through the leaves, casting a beautiful light on him.

She couldn’t resist taking out her camera and capturing the scene: the young man and the kitten, the gentle breeze and the sunlight, the interplay of light and shadow clearly captured.

It wasn’t until the young man playing with the kitten on the ground noticed her and turned to look at her that Rachel put away her camera.

"Are you the girl reporter my grandmother mentioned?" Ben Fletcher stood up, with a bright smile, courteously walking towards her and extending his hand, "Hello, I’m Ben Fletcher." He had a good first impression of Rachel.
