When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster-Chapter 725: Taken Away by the Police
Chase Fletcher’s thin lips parted slightly, suppressing his anger, "Okay." Then he dialed 110.
Dylan Shaw, who had been kicked to the ground, couldn’t stop any of it.
Listening to him finish reporting to the police, he looked anxiously and fearfully at the entrance door; he didn’t want to go to jail, not at all!
Just as he was thinking of rushing out recklessly.
As if Chase Fletcher had foreseen this, he directly blocked him and furiously beat him up!
It seemed even killing him wouldn’t relieve the anger.
"Ah! Ah!" Dylan Shaw couldn’t resist or fight back and cried out in pain.
No one pleaded for him, he could only protect his head, dodging as much as possible to avoid bruising his face.
Rachel Sherman got up from the sofa and walked towards the room with some indifference, without stopping Chase Fletcher’s actions.
As if receiving Rachel’s approval, Chase Fletcher settled new and old scores together, giving him a harsh lesson before the police arrived!
"Shameless trash man! Utterly without a bottom line!" he cursed, "You couldn’t get your way, so you do such despicable things! Are you even human?!"
"Who the hell are you?!" Dylan Shaw, furious from being beaten, wiped the blood from the corner of his lips, "Why do you care about me?"
"I’m your daughter’s stepdad!" Chase Fletcher was incredibly angry, clearly stating his identity, "I’m truly embarrassed for June to have a father like you!"
And because his response was a bit intense, the volume was quite loud, heard by Rachel Sherman, who was changing clothes in the bedroom.
Her fingers shrank a little while picking up clothes.
Actually, Dylan Shaw was also stunned, stepdad? Is this moving so fast?
Soon, a child’s crying came from the next room; June was awakened by the commotion outside.
Rachel Sherman came back to her senses, knowing the nanny would soothe the child, and soon the crying disappeared.
Hearing his daughter’s cries, Dylan Shaw’s heart was somewhat pricked, and lying on the ground, he actually became more sober at this moment.
Very soon, the police arrived.
Rachel Sherman, having changed her clothes, with a face full of injuries and messy hair, handed over the surveillance footage to the police.
No matter how Dylan Shaw explained, no matter how he pleaded, Rachel Sherman’s heart was utterly cold. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
The police watched the surveillance footage and determined that Dylan Shaw had committed home invasion violence. Though unsuccessful, it was extraordinarily vile.
With ironclad evidence, the police took him away.
"Rachel Sherman, you’re so ruthless! I’m the child’s father! What violence did I commit?!" Even while being taken away, he remained very angry.
In the room, the nanny comforted June, continuously staying with her, and with the door closed, isolating everything happening outside.
Chase Fletcher sent off the police, closed the entrance door, turned to Rachel Sherman, and gently hugged her, still shaken.
Even though she changed her torn clothes, she still looked very disheveled.
He was deeply guilty, knowing he had been busy with work recently and hadn’t considered her weekend safety.
Leaning in his embrace at this moment, Rachel Sherman couldn’t hold back as tears flowed uncontrollably.
If not for him and the nanny arriving in time, Rachel really dared not imagine the consequences.
Chase Fletcher held and comforted her for a while, "Alright, it’s over, you wait for me a moment." Saying this, he released her, turned, picked up the bag of dumplings from the floor, and threw it into the trash.
Chase Fletcher entered the kitchen, and shortly after, Rachel Sherman heard movement inside; the exhaust fan started.
Rachel Sherman regained composure, stood up, and walked into the kitchen; just reaching the doorway, she saw him cooking something.
"You go rest, I’ll make you some fried rice with eggs." The man said with a glance at her while stirring the rice with a spatula.
Rachel Sherman’s heart was truly mixed with emotions.
She didn’t know what to say to him.
He’s so outstanding, so good...
Soon, two bowls of fragrant egg fried rice were ready, and the chestnut chicken stew brought by the nanny was especially aromatic.
