When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster-Chapter 688: Little Uncle’s Entire Fortune
Two hours later, Milo Turner arrived at the hospital room, brimming with happiness and all his belongings in tow.
Through the small window on the door, he saw the warm scene of the family of three inside, with a ray of sunlight shining through the window and illuminating them.
The scene was so beautiful, it moved him deeply.
His brother-in-law sat holding the baby at the bedside, while his sister gently held the baby’s hand, both with smiles full of happiness.
He really didn’t want to disturb them, but still knocked gently on the door.
Adrian Lancaster turned around at the sound, and Faye Turner’s gaze also turned towards the door.
He gently pushed the door open and entered, "Sis, brother-in-law, congratulations!"
"Milo?" Adrian Lancaster was a bit surprised to see him.
"Milo, why did you come?" Faye Turner was both surprised and delighted, "How many days of leave did you get?"
"One day." 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
He came over with a cheerful smile to his brother-in-law’s side, gazing at the adorable sleeping infant in his arms, his heart completely melted.
"So cute! Are babies just this small when they’re born?" It was his first time seeing a newborn.
Adrian Lancaster told him, "This is actually quite big, some babies are premature, only weighing three or four pounds, and need to be in an incubator."
"Life is so miraculous, with skin as delicate as this, looks like the mom, right?" Saying this, he pulled a red envelope out of his pocket.
He crouched down and placed it on the baby’s blanket, softly saying, "This is Uncle’s gift for meeting you, just a little token, don’t mind it, okay?"
"Why did you bring a red envelope?" Adrian Lancaster was quite surprised, "That’s too formal, and you don’t even earn money yet."
"You’re with mom, you’re still a kid yourself, this is probably from saving your pocket money?" Faye Turner was very touched, feeling her brother had grown up and understood these gestures.
Actually, Milo Turner sincerely wanted to be good to this child, simply out of genuine affection.
"That’s why it’s meaningful, even though it’s a light gift, it’s heartfelt. This is all of Uncle’s belongings." He beamed, "Sis, brother-in-law, can I hold her?"
Looking at such a cute little one, it was impossible not to feel a wave of protectiveness.
"Of course." Adrian Lancaster stood up with the baby, carefully transferring her into his arms, and advised, "Be careful, hold her gently."
Milo Turner held his little niece, so cautious that he didn’t dare move at all.
Adrian Lancaster stood guard beside him, and the two men focused their gaze on the sleeping infant’s face, eyes filled with affection.
Far away in the Netherlands, Melanie Lancaster only knew Faye Turner had given birth after seeing the news.
"How rude! Not a single person called to share the good news!" She felt as if she wasn’t part of The Lancaster Family, clearly being marginalized.
While her son was suffering in prison, Adrian Lancaster was enjoying the joy of first-time fatherhood.
Whenever she thought of this stark contrast, she despised Adrian Lancaster! She wanted to destroy all that happiness.
Outside the hospital lobby in Argent, reporters were still waiting.
Everyone wanted to interview Adrian Lancaster.
It wasn’t until three in the morning that Adrian Lancaster discreetly appeared, reporters spotted him and seemingly rushed in from nowhere!
This prompted him to instantly focus, and he snapped back to clarity.
"President Lancaster, President Lancaster, how is Mrs. Lancaster doing now? Is she well? Was the baby delivered by C-section or naturally?"
"Hello, President Lancaster, could you briefly describe your feelings as a new father?"
"Hello, President Lancaster, the old master said the baby’s name is Joy Lancaster, did you choose such a beautiful name?"
Questions flooded like a tide, but fortunately, Adrian Lancaster was in a good mood.
He couldn’t suppress the smile at the corner of his mouth, and he didn’t plan to leave with a cold face; instead, he intended to share this happiness.
So, he reached out to take the microphone closest to him, cleared his throat, and seemed ready to say a few more words.
All the reporters around fell silent, looking at him expectantly.
"First of all, thank you all for your concern." He spoke with gentlemanly politeness and a warm voice—
