When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster-Chapter 514: Gone Crazy
"Mm-hmm." Faye Turner nodded, waiting for this very sentence from her mother-in-law, her gaze towards her filled with determination.
Faye Turner was confident about uncovering the truth of the car accident and finding Mr. Lancaster’s whereabouts.
Because she always believed that where there’s life, there’s hope.
So, Faye Turner shared what she knew about the whereabouts of the attending doctor with her mother-in-law, and then she had her people investigate.
This afternoon, inside a newspaper office, the reporters and editors were diligently working at their posts, showcasing an atmosphere of youthful energy.
Recent interviews had gone well, everyone’s work was smooth, and the chief editor was quite pleased.
At this moment, a security guard downstairs hurriedly called the chief editor’s office, said something, causing the chief editor’s face to change slightly, he then rushed downstairs to handle the situation.
"Get Rachel Sherman out here! Just divorced and already looking for men with a kid! Not even letting the child’s biological father see the kid! What a low-class woman! No wonder your garbage paper wants her!"
Dylan Shaw not only yelled downstairs but shamelessly pulled out a banner in protest against Rachel Sherman, even hiring a few people to help hold up the banner from who knows where.
"Rachel Sherman! You shameless woman! Get down here! By what right do you prevent me from seeing my child?! That’s my child! Did you steal seeds from outside?!"
Dylan Shaw had been a bit neurotic lately, unable to find a job for a long time, losing his financial resources, and Vivian Sawyer constantly ridiculing him.
Holding the banner and screaming like a shrew naturally attracted quite a crowd, and some even took out their phones to record.
When the chief editor came downstairs, he found the hallway already packed with people, banners naming Rachel Sherman and the paper starkly visible, looking very bad!
Several security guards were dealing with the situation, but arguments erupted, to no avail.
"You actually hire an immoral reporter like Rachel Sherman?! Just divorced and already tangled with another man! This kind of woman will only lead her daughter astray!"
Downstairs, the commotion was already out of control, even alarming the patrolling police nearby.
Upstairs, in the large office.
"Rachel, quickly check the video in the group, something’s happened!" a colleague hurriedly informed.
Having just finished printing documents, Rachel Sherman put down her materials, confusedly took out her phone to check.
When she saw the video in the group, she was fuming!
Unable to hold back any longer, she noticed everyone around her was staring at her, obviously already aware.
So, Rachel Sherman swiftly turned and rushed downstairs!
When she charged in, she saw the chief editor there, along with some colleagues, Dylan Shaw still incessantly defaming—
"Rachel Sherman is shameless! She makes my life miserable, and I won’t let her off the hook!!"
"If you don’t fire her, I’ll keep coming to cause trouble every day! Anyway, no one gets to carry on then!"
"That child is mine! How dare you keep me from seeing her??"
"Dylan Shaw!!!!!!" Rachel Sherman was also losing it, she pushed through the crowd to confront him, "What the hell is wrong with you?! Doing such things?! Where’s your conscience?!"
Seeing those banners, she was absolutely speechless with rage!
Dylan Shaw finally saw her, achieving the desired effect, he smirked, saying, "You’re finally down here! What did I do? As a victim who can’t even see his daughter, shouldn’t I be allowed to accuse you?!"
Rachel Sherman was enraged to the point her chest hurt!
Meanwhile, Uncle Lane drove from the old manor towards Prestige Group, and while passing by here, Faye Turner inadvertently glanced over, witnessing the scene.
On that long banner, Rachel Sherman’s name was prominently displayed; this was the building housing her newspaper.
"Wait!" Faye Turner’s heart clenched suddenly, urgently saying, "Uncle Lane, stop the car, stop the car!"
