Chapter 470: Chapter 470: Faye Turner Did It

In the ancient, serene old house, the classical architectural style reflects the owner’s exquisite taste.

The old master, leaning on a dragon-head cane, walked into the kitchen, as he hadn’t seen Eliza Hayes for over half an hour. He wanted to investigate.

When he saw Eliza wearing an apron, making dumplings at the dining table, he was a bit surprised. Was she really making them by hand?

Seeing the old man, she didn’t stop her dumpling-making, "Dad." Her face had some flour on it, and the big bowl was filled with various fillings.

Nanny Warren was mixing the filling while Eliza Hayes made dumplings.

The old man walked to the dining table, looking at the neatly arranged dumplings on the plate, and asked, "Making so many all of a sudden? Is today a special occasion?"

Eliza hadn’t cooked for years.

Eliza smiled pleasantly, "It’s not a special day, just that Faye said she would bring Adrian home today, so I made some dumplings, the kids love them."

"Are they coming back today?" This was news to the old master.

"Yes." Eliza nodded, though she was unsure how likely it was that Faye could bring Adrian back.

So she covered it with a smile, "If they’re not busy, they should come back."

Before the old man could say anything, she quickly added, "But I’ve already had dinner prepared, so you don’t have to worry, I’ll handle the kitchen."

The old man felt something was off.

But he couldn’t say much, just harbored a sliver of suspicion.

After all, she once tried to harm the child in Faye’s belly, so could these dumplings be... poisoned?

Without evidence, the grandfather couldn’t wrongly accuse her, so he said nothing, merely looked at the busy pair, then turned to leave.

Let’s see if the kids come back today.

Soon, a Lamborghini stopped on the lush green lawn; they had returned.

Through the car window, he glanced at the thousand-year-old camphor tree in front of the house, its dense leaves rustling softly in the autumn breeze.

This place was far from the city’s hustle and bustle.

When Adrian Lancaster and Faye Turner got out of the car, a lookout servant saw them and quickly went into the kitchen to report, "Madam, the young master and lady have returned."

Eliza Hayes was thrilled, stopped what she was doing, and looked up, exclaiming—

"Quick, get these steamed right away, hurry!" She was almost flustered, too excited to know what to do, "Watch them steaming! Keep an eye on the time!"

"Yes, Madam." Someone quickly came over to take the prepared dumplings.

Nanny Warren was very gratified, Miss Turner had done it, she really brought Adrian back! This was the first step forward, the start of success.

So, can anyone understand Eliza’s feelings? She was truly happier than ever before!

"Grandpa!"

In the yard, Faye held onto Adrian’s arm, her steps light, her face smiling brilliantly as she raised her voice to greet the old man at the entrance of the living room with his cane.

"Hey!" The old man beamed with joy, they really came back.

Adrian Lancaster’s expression was gentle, and when he saw his grandfather, a smile appeared on his face, "Grandpa."

Did Eliza know that Faye and Adrian were coming back before he, the grandfather, did? This puzzled the old master.

But seeing the kids return, the old man was still very happy, "Come, come, come, play a game of chess with Grandpa!"

"Grandpa." Adrian, handsome and steady, exuded an innate noble demeanor.

Even the grandfather particularly appreciated him, having encountered countless grandsons of good friends, none gave him the same feeling as Adrian, sometimes cold and noble, sometimes refreshing like a spring breeze. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

"Adrian, how about you come play a game of chess with Grandpa first?" The old master had been craving chess recently.

But the others’ skills were lacking; except for Evan Sharp and this precious grandson, as well as Faye, hardly anyone could play against the grandfather.

"Alright." Adrian Lancaster saw the smile on his grandfather’s face and noticed how well the old man looked recently; he felt better instantly, "Grandpa, you must not let me win."
