Chapter 251: Chapter 251: I’ll Give You Five Million—Leave Adrian Lancaster

Eliza Hayes had arrived early, sitting by the window in a certain guest room, exuding an unusually cold aura.

This private club wasn’t part of the Prestige Group, and not just anyone could get in. It was perfect for discussing matters that couldn’t see the light of day.

Faye Turner was allowed in at the door and, with a feeling of apprehension, walked alone to the entrance of the guest room, following the room number.

She took a deep breath, raised her hand to lightly knock on the door, and then turned the doorknob.

When the door opened, she saw her mother-in-law, in a white Coco Chanel-style suit, sitting elegantly by the window, sipping tea. It was a stark contrast to the plain clothes she usually wore in the backyard’s Buddhist shrine.

Even upon hearing the sound of the door opening, Eliza Hayes did not turn her eyes to glance at her.

Faye gently closed the door, walked towards her mother-in-law, and greeted her only when she was near, "Mom, I’m here."

The middle-aged woman remained silent for a long time, sipping her tea again and again, before finally glancing at her, "Sit."

Faye sat down in the chair opposite her.

Eliza Hayes looked at her with eyes full of disdain and indifference, leaning forward slightly to put down her teacup.

Faye noticed that the tea table in front of her only had one cup with the teapot, which she thought made her mother-in-law’s behavior seem a bit childish.

A bank card suddenly appeared on the tea table, and her mother-in-law pushed it towards her with a finger.

Faye looked up, meeting the other’s cold gaze.

"There’s 5 million in here, the password is the last six digits of the card number, take it."

Outside the club, Adrian Lancaster sat in the driver’s seat. When he heard this, his handsome face became cold and his eyes flickered.

Inside the club.

Eliza Hayes said to her again, "Leave Adrian Lancaster, leave Argent." Unlike other mothers-in-law, she didn’t just say leave my son.

Her tone, her demeanor, so lofty and unapproachable.

"Just because I took Dad’s pulse, your attitude changed from indifferent to intolerant. This can easily make him suspicious." Faye was certain this woman had secrets.

Hearing this, Adrian Lancaster, who was outside in the car, furrowed his brows, puzzled.

"So you have to take the opportunity to find your own reason to leave him." Eliza Hayes gave a deadline, "I give you a month, if you’re willing to take the money and leave quietly, I won’t make things difficult for you."

"Mom, I won’t leave." Faye declared directly, "I’m married to Adrian, I’m his wife, I can’t talk about divorce with him."

"No need to answer hastily, think it over before you decide." Eliza Hayes picked up the teacup again, leaning gently against the back of her chair.

"I had it figured out from the day I registered with Adrian, I want to manage this marriage well and be with him until old age, so this matter doesn’t need reconsideration."

Eliza Hayes seemed immobilized, "Don’t be ungrateful."

"I’ve fallen in love with your son, I want to spend my life with him, there’s nothing wrong with that." Faye’s gaze was firm, "Even if you give me 500 million, I won’t leave him."

These words also reached Adrian Lancaster’s ears, his stern expression slightly softened, and a faint smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he leaned back in his chair, his handsome face showing no extra emotion.

Faye pushed the bank card back towards her mother-in-law and shifted the topic, asking directly, "Why don’t you want Dad to get better?"

Hearing this question, Adrian Lancaster outside felt a pang in his chest and perked up his ears.

"What did you say?" Eliza Hayes glared at her angrily, "Who doesn’t want him to get better?" Then she was like someone provoked, slamming her hand on the table, smashing the teacup on the ground!

Sitting in her chair, Faye was so frightened that her heart almost jumped out!

Just then, her phone rang, but the ringtone did nothing to ease the atmosphere. Eliza Hayes glared at her viciously, as if she wanted to devour her!
