Chapter 224: Chapter 224: Mrs. Lancaster’s Attitude Toward the Matter

"Of course not! What could possibly be between me and Ivy?" Adrian Lancaster was frustrated. "Anyone can misunderstand me, but Grandpa, you have to believe me!"

"And how do you plan to handle this?" Grandpa cast a cold glance at him. "The trending topic must be taken down! Ivy’s actions are unforgivable! She must be punished harshly! Otherwise, there will be a next time. Additionally, you need to apologize sincerely to Faye!"

"I haven’t even made it home yet, and you called me here." Adrian Lancaster said, "Don’t worry, once I get home, I will sincerely apologize!"

Seeing his beloved grandson’s sincere attitude, the old man finally decided to let him go. "I won’t keep you for dinner; go back quickly and apologize!"

"Alright." Adrian Lancaster waved to the old man. "Goodbye, Grandpa."

On his way out, he finally let out a sigh of relief. He was really afraid of Grandpa, and he cared a lot about him too.

What if he made Grandpa sick with anger?

Faye Turner had dinner at her mother’s place.

"Mom, are you comfortable living here? Would you like me to find you a bigger house?"

"No, no, I’m fine staying here."

They chatted about everyday life and also talked about Milo’s studies. It wasn’t until nightfall that Faye Turner said her goodbyes.

She went downstairs, reached the roadside, and was about to hail a taxi to head back to Aqua Flora Residences.

When she was suddenly surrounded by several reporters who appeared out of nowhere, giving her a fright!

"Mrs. Lancaster, what do you think about President Lancaster staying out all night and watching the sunrise with another woman?"

"Mrs. Lancaster, has your relationship with President Lancaster broken down?"

"Mrs. Lancaster, did you see today’s news? Do you have anything to say?"

One microphone after another was thrust in front of her, and Faye Turner steadied herself, forced to face the cameras, she managed her expressions well, knowing her special identity.

Even though everyone was clamoring with questions, she heard each one clearly.

When everyone quieted down a bit, Faye Turner smiled and calmly said to them—

"This matter is just a misunderstanding. I trust Adrian unconditionally. As for why he hasn’t clarified, it’s because we both agree that such a trivial matter isn’t worth mentioning. Please shift your focus to the left-behind children and the elderly who have lost their only child, thank you."

"A misunderstanding still? But he stayed out all night; are the photos fake?"

"Mrs. Lancaster, do you care about the relationship between President Lancaster and Secretary Jennings? They were thought to be a perfect match."

"There is a fate value between people." Faye Turner looked at the questioning reporter, still smiling—

"No matter how perfect a match, if they didn’t end up married, then the fate value was just a little short. So what was impossible in the past will also be impossible in the future, thank you."

Having said that, she began to step away, ready to hail a cab.

Just as the reporters were about to ask more questions, a black Lamborghini stopped steadily in front of her.

Even Faye Turner was startled.

Adrian Lancaster stepped out of the car, walked around the car with a calm demeanor, opened the passenger door, and looked at her with gentle eyes.

Understanding, Faye stepped forward as he reached out to protect her head and carefully seated her inside the car.

They appeared very affectionate.

The reporters didn’t swarm them but seized the opportunity to take a flurry of photos!

The car door closed, and he quickly returned to the driver’s seat, then drove off swiftly.

The reporters continued to pursue them, but the limited edition car soon vanished from sight.

On the way home, Faye Turner stared ahead, feeling a bit dazed and couldn’t believe he appeared, nor could she guess what he was thinking.

This was the first time she and he were alone since the news broke, so, would he explain?

Though there wasn’t much to explain, Faye Turner still hoped he would take the initiative to say something.
