When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster-Chapter 216: Faye Turner Is Truly Kind-Hearted
Dustin Shepherd felt like he’d been handed a hot potato, but he couldn’t bargain with the president, "Okay."
After serious contemplation, before making the decision at noon, he purposely visited the large office of the design department, "Faye Turner." 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
The girl looked up at the sound, seeing him wave at her from the doorway, she paused her work and got up to walk towards him.
Then Dustin Shepherd stated that President Lancaster had asked him to make a decision about Serena Sutton’s creative work derived from another’s, whether or not to comply with public opinion to create it, and asked her thoughts on the matter.
After all, the creative idea derived was plagiarized from Faye Turner.
Faye thought for a moment, believing Adrian Lancaster hesitated in making a decision on the spot because he was wavering too, after all, he was a businessman and a capitalist.
So she slightly raised the corners of her lips, speaking in a relaxed tone, "Then go ahead and make it, if fans are willing to pay for it, that’s a good thing."
Dustin Shepherd looked at her kindness still intact, suppressing a strong emotion deep inside.
This girl’s smile was always as warm as the sun, their gazes met, Dustin’s lips slightly raised, "Okay, then let’s do as you say."
"Alright, anything else?" she asked, batting her beautiful big eyes.
The man shook his head, "Nothing else, carry on with your work, bye."
"Bye."
Every time he saw her, Dustin Shepherd felt immense joy.
Every time they parted, his heart would ache faintly, and sometimes recalling her face would bring him inexplicable warmth.
But thinking of her being married, and having married Adrian Lancaster, Dustin’s heart would feel a vague, tugging pain.
Marrying President Lancaster meant the concept of divorce was zero.
Dustin really had no hope left.
Evening.
Mrs. Rhodes brewed Faye Turner the last dose of prenatal tonic, the room filled with a strong medicinal aroma.
One sniff made it feel very bitter!
Faye Turner always drank it diligently, which moved Mrs. Rhodes greatly, the power of maternal love is always so strong.
In the steam-filled bathroom, Adrian Lancaster removed his clothes; standing under the shower, every inch of his muscular body exuded boundless charm.
The warm water streamed down his left arm, the once hideous scars now healed.
Every inch of skin renewed perfectly, blending seamlessly with the surrounding healthy skin, leaving no trace of past injuries.
Adrian Lancaster’s mood lifted with it.
He thought, soon it would be the Mid-Autumn Festival, a perfect occasion for a family reunion, letting Faye meet her father shouldn’t be difficult.
After all, since she entered the family, the daughter-in-law hadn’t met her father-in-law yet.
Unconsciously, Adrian Lancaster had lowered his guard towards Faye Turner, this internal change might have gone unnoticed even by himself.
After finishing his shower, his phone rang right then.
He picked it up to check, and it was an unknown number; he hesitated for a few seconds, then his well-defined fingers swiped to answer, "Hello."
Perhaps his voice was too low and cold, frightening the caller.
After a while, a boy’s voice came hesitantly over, "Brother-in-law, it’s Milo Turner."
Adrian Lancaster, holding the phone, flashed his deep eyes, recalling that he once gave the boy a business card at a food stall.
And told him he could call this number if he needed anything.
"Milo," he snapped back to the present, his voice softened considerably, "How have you been? Facing any difficulties at school?"
"Brother-in-law, do you have time?" Milo Turner sounded a bit inebriated, "I...I feel really uncomfortable inside, and want to find someone to talk to."
"Have you been drinking?" Adrian Lancaster, being an adult, was very perceptive.
"Just a little."
The man furrowed his brow slightly, asked him, "Where are you? I’ll come find you."
