Wedding Night: My Disabled Husband Made Me Cry-Chapter 46: Vivian, I Don’t Deserve to Die for This
When Jett Sterling saw the suitcase in her hand, his pupils contracted sharply. "Vivian, are you in such a hurry to leave me?"
Vivian Quinn said calmly, "I don’t tolerate deceit, and I don’t like to drag things out. I’ve left the divorce papers over there. After you sign them, we can set a time to finalize the proceedings."
"Vivian!" Jett Sterling grabbed her wrist. "Let’s talk."
"We’ve already talked many times, haven’t we?"
"Are you just going to abandon me? You said you’d help treat my illness. What will I do if I have an episode after you leave? You’re the one who told the doctors not to give me sedatives." The man’s voice was practically begging. "Vivian, my crime isn’t punishable by death."
A sharp pain shot through Vivian Quinn’s heart, but this only made her angrier.
’By what right?’
’By what right did Jett Sterling deceive her, only for her to be the one feeling heartbroken!’
Vivian Quinn huffed, "You haven’t had an episode yet, have you? And even if you do, you can just have the doctors treat you the same way they always have."
"Jett Sterling, you’re the one who deceived me first! What right do you have to guilt-trip me like this!"
Vivian Quinn forcefully wrenched her hand free and left without a backward glance.
She found a relatively cheap hotel to check into. But when night came, she tossed and turned, unable to sleep, her mind completely filled with thoughts of Jett Sterling.
Vivian Quinn sat up and ran a hand through her hair in frustration. Suddenly, she noticed a small red light on the opposite wall.
Vivian Quinn frowned, turned on the light, and went to take a look. She pried a pinhole camera from the TV’s set-top box!
A chill ran down her spine, and she immediately pulled out her phone to call the police.
The police arrived quickly and found another pinhole camera in the bathroom.
A wave of fear washed over Vivian Quinn. She had been in a bad mood all day, and being a bit of a germaphobe, she’d felt the hotel’s cleanliness was subpar and had decided against showering. Otherwise, the consequences would have been unthinkable!
While the police were still searching the room, Easton Rivers suddenly rushed in. "Madam, are you all right?" he asked anxiously.
"What are you doing here?"
"We got a call from the police department saying you’d reported an incident. Master Sterling sent me to check on you."
Vivian Quinn said sullenly, "I’m fine."
"Madam, it’s too dangerous here. You should go home."
"I don’t have a home."
Easton Rivers: "..."
"If you don’t want to go back, that’s fine. You should change hotels. I’ll take you to The Crystalia Palace."
"It’s too expensive. I can’t afford it."
Easton Rivers swallowed nervously and mustered his courage. "Madam, forgive my impertinence, but Master Sterling had me bring bodyguards. He said you have two choices: either check into The Platinum Hall, or have the bodyguards escort you home."
Vivian Quinn: "..."!!!
"What gives him the right to make choices for me!"
"Madam, you aren’t divorced yet. You’re still married. Even if you call the police, they don’t get involved in domestic matters."
Vivian Quinn was livid. "And what if I don’t choose either?"
"Master Sterling said he would come and get you himself."
Vivian Quinn: "..."
"Fine. You’re trying to provoke me, right? Okay. If I stay at The Platinum Hall, is he paying?"
"Of course."
"Good, I’ll go! He’d better not regret this!"

Half an hour later, Vivian Quinn checked into the most luxurious presidential suite at The Platinum Hall.
The moment Easton Rivers left, she called Shane Shaw. "Who has time for sleep? Get up, we’re partying!"
"Boss, are you on something? It’s the middle of the night."
"Just get over here. Now."
"...Alright."
Vivian Quinn picked up the food and drink menus from the coffee table and ordered one of everything that caught her eye.
「Back at the villa.」
A knock sounded on the study door. Easton Rivers walked in and reported, "Master Sterling, Madam is having a late-night meal. She ordered practically everything on the menu and also called Shane Shaw over."
The corners of Jett Sterling’s lips curved into a slight smile. "As long as she’s happy."
Easton Rivers: "..."
"Master Sterling, do you really think Madam is happy? She’s clearly doing this to spite you. She’s angry and just wants to burn your money."
"I know she’s throwing a fit, but she needs to do it somewhere safe." The man’s fingertips tapped lightly on the desk. "Keep an eye on things with the police. Make sure none of that footage gets out."
"I understand. Don’t worry, Master Sterling. Madam didn’t shower or change clothes, so nothing compromising was filmed."
His phone suddenly rang. Jett Sterling glanced at the screen, a flicker of amusement in his eyes, and answered, "Miss Quinn?"
"Zachary Quinn, are you still awake?"
"Not yet."
"That’s great! Come to The Platinum Hall for a late-night meal!"
"Is that convenient?"
"Of course it is! Come on, hurry!"
"Alright."
...
The doorbell rang. Vivian Quinn went to open it. "Zachary Quinn, you’re here!"
"Miss Quinn."
"Come on in. Let me introduce you. This is my good buddy, Shane Shaw. Shane, this is the Zachary Quinn I told you about."
The two men shook hands, their introductions made.
"Come on, let’s have some hot pot. Zachary Quinn, don’t hold back. My ex-husband is paying," Vivian Quinn said enthusiastically.
Zachary Quinn’s hand, which had just picked up his chopsticks, paused. "You’re divorced already?"
"Not yet."
"Then he’s not your ex-husband."
"You’re so precise, hahaha!" Vivian Quinn laughed out loud. "Alright, my soon-to-be ex-husband, then. He’s footing the bill, so order whatever you want."
"Alright."
"Hey, Boss, hurry up and eat. The meat’s getting tough," Shane Shaw said, draping an arm over Vivian Quinn’s shoulder.
The next second, a low, cold voice sounded beside them. "Take your hand off."
The two of them froze, instinctively looking up at the man sitting across from them.
He was wearing a hat and sunglasses, his ordinary, unremarkable face taut with tension.
Even through the sunglasses, Shane Shaw could feel an immense pressure emanating from him.
Vivian Quinn was also stunned. ’For a dizzying moment, I thought he was Jett Sterling!’
"Zachary Quinn, what’s wrong?" Vivian Quinn asked.
"Tell him to take his hand off. He shouldn’t be touching you."
The two of them: "..."
"Zachary Quinn, you’re a very diligent bodyguard, but it’s okay. Shane Shaw is my best friend."
"You’re a married woman now. It’s inappropriate to be so chummy with another man."
Shane Shaw was instantly displeased. "Who do you think you are, telling us what to do? I was actually grateful to you for saving my boss, but I didn’t expect you to be such a nag."
"Wearing sunglasses in the middle of the night... you think you’re some kind of celebrity?"
The man enunciated each word, "I am stating a fact. Take. Your. Hand. Off."
Shane Shaw’s temper flared. He slammed his hand on the table and shot to his feet. "Are you looking for a fight?"
"Shane, what are you doing?" Vivian Quinn quickly pulled him back. "Be more polite to Zachary Quinn. Besides, he’s right. I’m married now. You need to be more mindful of boundaries in the future. Stop draping your arm over me all the time. Remember, I’m a married woman now."
Shane Shaw felt wronged. "Boss, why do I have to change just because you got married?"
Vivian Quinn thought for a moment and said, "Just put up with it for now. Once I’m divorced and single again, you can go back to treating me like one of the guys. But for now, just treat me as a married woman."
Zachary Quinn: "..."
She wasn’t sure if it was just her imagination, but after she finished speaking, the man across from her seemed to grow even colder.
She cleared her throat and asked, "Zachary Quinn, do you know Jett Sterling?"
