Chapter 120: Chapter 120: I Will Definitely Divorce You

Mason Landon suppressed his anger, speaking word by word. "I’ll say it again. Divorce Vivian immediately, or you won’t be able to bear the consequences!"

Jett Sterling hung up the phone. He stared into space, lost in thought. After a long while, he finally picked up his phone to make a call.

Vivian Quinn answered quickly. "What’s up?"

"If your body has mostly recovered, let’s finalize the divorce proceedings as soon as possible."

Vivian Quinn gave a faint smile. "You just can’t wait, can you? I just came back from Death’s Door and I’m still in the hospital, and you’re already rushing me to get a divorce?"

"Vivian, we need to make a clean break."

"I never said I wouldn’t." Vivian Quinn said coldly, "Just give me two more days. After I’m discharged, I won’t delay for a single day. I’ll definitely go through with the divorce!"

Vivian Quinn hung up, her fingertips trembling with anger.

Shane Shaw watched her nervously from the side. "Boss, don’t be angry."

"I’m fine. Getting sick with anger would only benefit others, and I’m not that stupid."

"As long as you know that, Boss."

Mason Landon, who was in the middle of changing her IV drip, smiled. "I knew Vivian was a smart girl."

Vivian Quinn looked at Shane Shaw. "I’m fine now. I can be discharged after another two days of rest. You should go abroad and take care of your own business."

"Uh, I still have things to take care of in the country. I can’t leave so soon."

A flash of displeasure crossed Mason Landon’s eyes, but it was gone by the time he turned his head. "What is it? Do you need my help?"

"It’s about the Boss. About the car accident." Shane Shaw said matter-of-factly. "Diana Davenport hit my boss with her car because of me. She’s in a detention center now, but she hasn’t been sentenced yet. I have to be the one to handle this."

Mason Landon didn’t say anything.

Vivian Quinn asked, "So how are you planning to handle it?"

"Boss, she tried to kill you. Of course I can’t let her off. I’m going to make sure she faces the legal consequences she deserves."

Vivian Quinn nodded. "I agree. What she did was a crime. I never planned on letting her off."

"Boss, leave this to me. Don’t worry about it, just focus on getting better."

"Okay."

...

Vivian Quinn was discharged from the hospital three days later. Shane Shaw and Mason Landon came to pick her up.

"Boss, the house my family bought for me near the school is still empty. I’ve already had it cleaned. You can borrow it for now."

Vivian Quinn thought for a moment and said, "Alright. I’ll pay you rent."

"Fine, whatever makes you feel comfortable."

The three of them arrived at Shane Shaw’s place. It was a high-rise apartment—not particularly large, but the area was nice and transportation was convenient.

"Boss, just settle in and don’t worry. Let me know if you need anything."

"Don’t worry, I won’t hesitate to ask."

"Good."

Vivian Quinn checked the time and said, "It’s about time for dinner. Let me treat you guys."

Shane Shaw’s eyes lit up. "Boss, I’ve been craving your cooking."

Mason Landon spoke up, "Vivian just recovered from a serious illness. She can’t overexert herself. If we’re going to eat, we should go out."

"I’ll help the Boss out."

Seeing how expectant Shane Shaw was, Vivian Quinn agreed. "I’ll order some groceries now and make you something delicious."

"Thanks, Boss!"

Vivian Quinn ordered a lot of groceries on a delivery app, and they arrived within half an hour.

Shane Shaw went into the kitchen with her and they got busy.

Mason Landon checked the things Vivian Quinn had bought and said, "Vivian, you didn’t buy anything to drink."

"Oh, I completely forgot."

"It’s fine. I’ll go downstairs and buy some. I’ll be right back."

"Okay. Oh, by the way, could you also grab a thermos for me? I want to bring some soup for Joy."

"Okay."

Vivian Quinn focused on prepping the ingredients. Shane Shaw helped on the side, sneaking glances at her before tentatively asking, "Boss, you’re not going to accept Mason Landon, are you?"

"What nonsense are you talking about?" Vivian Quinn shot him a glare. "Do I look like I can’t live without a man?"

Shane Shaw let out a sigh of relief. "Boss, I don’t think Mason Landon is right for you, either."

"I’ve never even considered whether he’s right for me or not." Vivian Quinn said while chopping vegetables. "I don’t want to think about relationships right now. Once I divorce Jett Sterling, I’ll focus on school and taking care of Joy. Nothing else matters."

Shane Shaw glanced at the door. Mason Landon wouldn’t be back so soon. Mustering his courage, he said, "Boss, you just got over a major illness. Maybe you should put the divorce on hold for a bit. Just rest peacefully for a few days first."

"I’ve never been one to procrastinate. Since I’ve already made the decision, there’s no need to delay."

"But I think..."

Before Shane Shaw could finish, Vivian Quinn suddenly hissed in pain. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"Boss, what’s wrong?"

"It’s nothing. I just accidentally cut my finger."

"Let me see!" Shane Shaw hurriedly dropped the vegetables and rushed over. "Thank god, it’s just a scrape. How could you be so careless? I’ll go find a bandage!"

Vivian Quinn leaned against the counter. She had gotten distracted just by thinking of Jett Sterling, and that’s why she’d cut her hand.

Annoyed, she stuck her injured finger in her mouth and sucked away the blood.

"Boss, I’ve got the bandage!" Shane Shaw came over with a first-aid kit to treat her wound. Seeing her spaced out, he asked, "What’s wrong? Does it hurt a lot?"

Vivian Quinn gathered her thoughts and forced a smile. "I’m fine."

"That’s good."

After tending to her wound, Vivian Quinn continued cooking.

Mason Landon soon returned with the items and came into the kitchen to help.

The three of them worked together and made three dishes and a soup. Vivian Quinn’s cooking wasn’t exceptional—it was simple home-style food—but the two men did her the favor of eating every last bite.

After dinner, Vivian Quinn cleaned up the kitchen, grabbed the thermos, and made a trip to the hospital where Joy Chase was staying.

Joy Chase was just about to take a nap. When she saw Vivian Quinn, she happily sat up. "Sis."

"I made some soup for you. Have a taste."

"Thanks, Sis! It’s been so long since I’ve had your cooking!" Joy Chase drank the soup, a look of contentment on her face. "This is delicious. What made you suddenly decide to make soup today? Were you showing off for my brother-in-law?"

Vivian Quinn smiled. "Feeling brave enough to tease me now, are you?"

"I wouldn’t dare." Joy Chase studied her face. "Sis, you look like you’ve lost some weight."

"Have I? Maybe it’s because I haven’t had much of an appetite these past couple of days."

"Then you need to take good care of yourself."

"I know what I’m doing, don’t worry."

Vivian Quinn watched Joy Chase finish the soup, and only got up to leave after she had fallen asleep.

When the elevator doors opened, two familiar figures were standing inside!

Her eyes met with the man in the wheelchair. Both of them froze for a moment.

"Ma’am." Easton Rivers nodded in greeting. "Are you getting in?"

Vivian Quinn walked in calmly and pressed the button for the first floor.

She stood with her back to Jett Sterling, not turning to look at him or saying a word.

"Ma’am," Easton Rivers spoke again. "What are you doing here?"

"Visiting Joy," Vivian Quinn said coldly. "What else? You didn’t think I followed you here to pester you endlessly, did you?"
