Wayfarer-Chapter 1019: White-Furred Monsters
Chapter 1019: White-Furred Monsters
At a critical moment, with the help of the primordial altar, Xiao Nanfeng finally made it into the white life hidden realm. The void portal behind him was wide open, and the Superior was bellowing in outrage outside. Even so, he dared not enter. Before long, the portal snapped shut.
Just moments ago, the Superior had detonated his golden tree, unleashing a terrifying force that obliterated all the artifacts his three wives had lent Xiao Nanfeng to seal his Heartgate. The explosion had even shattered Xiao Nanfeng's world of the heart.
He looked grim, but the destruction wasn't permanent. His world of the heart would slowly repair itself, so he didn't dwell much on it. He swiftly fled into the depths.
At the same time, he surveyed the general landscape of the white life hidden realm.
The environment before him resembled that in the outside world, with lush forests, flowing rivers, and vast lands stretching as far as the eye could see. The only abnormality was the perpetual snowfall in the sky. Even when no clouds were present, snow continued to fall. However, it never reached the ground and instead disappeared in mid-air.
Xiao Nanfeng didn't linger. He found a quiet, isolated valley in which to enter secluded cultivation.
He sat cross-legged in meditation as he assessed his current physical condition. With a wave of his hand, he summoned his Deific Yin realm. The Superior's silver moon had vanished, leaving only a sky full of stars along with three moons—red, purple, and blue.
"Thank goodness the Superior never found out the truth about how many stars are in my Deific Yin realm," Xiao Nanfeng murmured to himself.
Just then, a powerful aura locked onto the valley he was hiding in. He blanched, knowing he had been discovered, and shot into the sky.
Just then, with a boom, a sword slash shattered the formation he had set up and caused the surrounding mountains to collapse.
"Who's there?" Xiao Nanfeng demanded.
Hovering in mid-air was a man wielding a longsword. Apart from his face, his entire body was covered in long, white fur that drifted with the wind. He exuded a terrifying aura.
"Who are you? Why did you ambush me?" Xiao Nanfeng demanded coldly.
The white-furred man remained silent as he stared at Xiao Nanfeng with icy eyes. A bright, silver moon slowly emerged from his forehead.
"You cultivate the Body of Yin, too?" Xiao Nanfeng narrowed his eyes.
The man's silver moon floated into the air and radiated pale light. With a buzz, it split open like an eyelid.
As soon as the eye opened, it locked onto Xiao Nanfeng with murderous intent, making his face sink in realization.
Sure enough, the eye said, "Xiao Nanfeng, did you really think I didn't enter the white life hidden realm because I couldn't? I simply didn't need to."
"Your avatar in the outside world can communicate with the white life hidden realm?" Xiao Nanfeng asked in shock.
"Are you only realizing that now? You're too late," the silver eye sneered. It turned to the white-furred man. "Kill him."
"Understood!"
The white-furred man swung his sword, sending another slash of energy toward Xiao Nanfeng. Xiao Nanfeng's gaze turned cold as he met the attack with a punch.
Their attacks collided, unleashing a powerful shockwave that sent Xiao Nanfeng staggering back.
"A late-stage Boundless Immortal white-furred lifeform?" Xiao Nanfeng exclaimed in astonishment.
The white-furred man's eyes turned colder as he accelerated, his sword striking at Xiao Nanfeng once more.
"Hegemon's Fist!"
The two clashed in fierce battle. The white-furred man's swordsmanship was extraordinary, and he was surrounded by sword energy. His techniques were ones rarely seen in the outside world. His swords flashed continuously, making him almost impossible to perceive. Even with Hegemon's Fist, Xiao Nanfeng struggled to defend himself. Fortunately, his candleflame powers allowed him to teleport short distances in dire moments to evade attacks.
But Xiao Nanfeng's spiritual body still bore heavy wounds, making the fight particularly strenuous for him.
During the battle, Xiao Nanfeng glanced at the silver moon observing him. He intended to rush toward it, but the white-furred man kept suppressing him.
Xiao Nanfeng could sense the Superior's cold smirk from high above.
His eyes turned icy. With a wave of his hand, he roared, "Suppress!"
The white-furred man was crushed and completely immobilized beneath the descending Divine Seal of Dazheng "Didn't you exhaust your stockpile of fortune? How are you still able to activate your divine seal?!" the Superior exclaimed.

"I did exhaust it, but it's been replenished since," Xiao Nanfeng replied coldly.
The Superior frowned. "Indeed, Dazheng now gathers fortune at an accelerated rate. You might have accumulated some fortune, but surely not much."
"Not much, but enough."
In a flash, he appeared before the immobilized white-furred man and struck his head with a powerful punch.
The white-furred man's head exploded under the combined force of the Divine Seal of Dazheng and Hegemon's Fist, killing him instantly.
Xiao Nanfeng seized his sword and storage treasures.
He stowed the Divine Seal of Dazheng and rushed toward the silver moon in the air.
Rather than flee, the silver moon spoke, "Do you think you've won? This is just the beginning. Now, let's play a game."
"A game?"
"The whole world will hunt you down. Get ready now, haha!" the silver moon laughed.
Xiao Nanfeng punched the moon and shattered it to pieces. He whirled around, only to see hordes of white-furred monsters rushing toward him. Though their auras were weaker, they were everywhere in sight. Some even had their own silver eyes floating behind their heads directing the assault.
The first white-furred monster attacked.
Xiao Nanfeng sent it flying with a punch, but he was quickly surrounded. The monsters weren't particularly strong—likely, the closest ones had arrived first. Defeating them wasn't difficult, but he didn't linger. He knew that more would come and immediately turned to flee.
In an instant, he left the horde behind. More white-furred monsters soon emerged, tracking him relentlessly. Xiao Nanfeng darted through the forests, using fog to cloak himself, as he observed his surroundings. Only after two days did he confirm that he had shaken off all his pursuers.
"Just how did the Superior find me while I was recuperating?" He frowned in thought.
Suddenly, he glanced up at the falling snow. He frowned as he flew up into the snowfall. Sure enough, moments later, several powerful auras appeared in the distance.
His face darkened. He immediately fled toward the ocean, diving deep beneath the waves to escape pursuit.
"It's the snow. Entering any region with snowfall exposes me..." Xiao Nanfeng murmured.
He wasted no time and rushed swiftly away.
He didn't have the luxury of exploring. Along the way, he found countless white-furred monsters searching for him. If he continued to expose himself, he might not be able to escape in the future.
What he needed at the moment was strength, enough strength that he didn't have to flee the white-furred monsters' pursuit.
Deep within the sea, he retrieved the Divine Seal of Dazheng again.
"Whether or not I can raise my cultivation depends on you," Xiao Nanfeng murmured wryly.
He entered the Divine Seal of Dazheng's internal space. This was one of his trump cards. Though he had used it in the past, ever since he realized that the cursed effigies attached to him might mean him ill, he had deliberately tried to draw attention away from it. This was why the Superior hadn't shown much interest in his seal.
The Divine Seal of Dazheng was originally a chunk of violet crystal that an ancestral dragon had brought back from the depths of space. Even the three Qing Grandmasters hadn't managed to penetrate its secrets. It was only because of his unique soul that he was able to enter the internal space within and attune to the crystal.
Inside, he saw familiar grayish energy and traces of purple radiance. Though their nature was unclear, he knew they had restored the Heavenly Dao Scroll in the past. They surely represented a profound opportunity.
He now attempted to absorb that energy.
Sitting cross-legged, he inhaled the energy into his body—only to curl up and retch. "This chaotic energy is as unbearable as ever."
It felt as if it were corrupting his very soul. The last time, he had encountered a similar phenomenon and was forced to stop. Was he unable to absorb this energy despite how much stronger his soul had grown since?
Just then, however, some suction seemed to arise from his Deific Yin realm.
"Hm?" He frowned.
He transformed into his yin body. Instantly, the stars began to absorb the gray energy.
"This..." Xiao Nanfeng's eyes widened in surprise.
The stars even drained the gray energy he had absorbed, instantly making him feel much better. As they absorbed more and more of the energy, they grew even more resplendent and began to revolve quickly.
The stars were divided into nine stellar domains, each of which flashed intermittently in a different color of light. The outlines of nine branches of the world tree slowly blinked into existence.
"The nine world trees—are the stars trying to recreate the world trees in full within my realm? No, they're already combining! They're forming... the giant nine-colored tree!" Xiao Nanfeng exclaimed in shock.
The Heavenly Dao Scroll was a record of the world's heavenly and natural laws, the embodiment of the world tree itself. To think that this gray energy would be so potent as to be able to recreate it all!
