Once Bing Xin came out of the slums, she didn’t head to the Shan Family right away.

Instead, she went to one of the inns and rented a room before heading out to buy some things.

The things that she bought were...clothes.

As her mother had told her, she was to dress nicely and report back to the Shan Family Manor. However, the Shan Family never gave her and her mother any money in the first place, so it wasn’t as if she was able to buy any good clothes.

The one set that she had when she went to the Falling Star Sect’s sect recruitment was bought with hard earned money that she made on the way. If it wasn’t for that, she wouldn’t have been able to look presentable for the sect recruitment.

As she was shopping, Bing Xin took out the spirit stones that she had and looked down at them with an emotional look in her eyes.

Others might not be able to figure out what she was thinking, but it was clear to us what she was thinking.

Still, Bing Xin didn’t linger for long as she quickly bought the clothes that she needed and headed off to the inn to rest.

Early the next morning, Bing Xin headed right to the Shan Family Manor.

She looked completely different from how she looked yesterday.

She had put on a fair dress that she bought along with putting on a bit of light makeup.

Just with this, she had transformed into a fairy that was as fair as Liu Ao Xue and Mu Bao Bao.

As she walked through the streets, there were heads that turned in her direction and many men that were slapped by their companions. There were some that wanted to talk to her, but they found that they couldn’t approach her at all.

All those that tried to approach Bing Xin felt a chill run down their spines and couldn’t approach her.

Bing Xin didn’t seem to care at all about these people that had tried to approach her as she continued along her way. The look on her face made it seem like she was calm, but those that knew her could see the look in her eyes.

The Shan Family Manor wasn’t far from the inn that she settled in for the night, so it didn’t take long for her to arrive.

When she did, the guards that were at the gates of the Shan Family Manor immediately looked at her with a surprised look before slowly revealing smiles of disdain. Though they were nothing more than guards, it didn’t seem like they were planning on showing Bing Xin any respect at all.

As Bing Xin came closer, the two of them came up to her and one of them said, "So the trash of the Shan Family returns. But I don’t think I recall you being invited here, so what are you planning to do?"

Bing Xin slightly knitted her brows when she heard this, but she didn’t say a thing in response.

Seeing that she wasn’t saying a thing, the guard continued by saying, "How about this? As long as you play with us brothers for a bit, we promise that we’ll let you in."

As he said this, this guard and his partner both looked at Bing Xin with lewd looks on their faces.

They didn’t care at all that she had been summoned, they just thought that they could do whatever they wanted with her.

Bing Xin didn’t say a thing, but we could see that her fists were clenched.

It seemed that she was close to losing her temper...

Though if it was the normal Bing Xin, she might have punched them before they had even finished what they said. It seemed that at this Shan Family Manor, she had to act with a bit of restraint.

The guards saw that Bing Xin wasn’t doing anything, so they thought that this was a silent agreement. The two of them were about to move forward with their hands coming up as if they were going to grab her.

The way that their hands moved seemed like they were about to do certain things to her.

But before they could, there was a voice that came from behind them, "What are you doing?"

The moment that the guards heard this voice, they immediately stopped what they were doing and turned around.

There was a handsome young man who was walking out of the gate behind them with his arm crossed as he looked at the two of them. It didn’t seem like he saw Bing Xin at all with the way that he looked at the two of them.

The guards hesitated a bit before the same one as before said, "We were just teaching this piece of trash a lesson that the Shan Family is not a place that she can come to whenever she wants."

The handsome young man narrowed his eyes when he heard this which made the two guards tremble again, but then he said, "You’re right about that, but..." With a sigh, he said, "Unfortunately, she was invited this time. It seems like the family wants her for something."

The guards looked surprised hearing this.

The handsome young man just waved his hand and said with another sigh, "Alright, return to your positions for now and let her through. They want to see her."

The two guards quickly returned to their positions before saying with a salute, "Yes, second young master."

The one called Second Young Master Shan just smiled at Bing Xin and said, "Follow me."

Bing Xin hadn’t said a single thing the entire time and she still didn’t say anything as she started following Second Young Master Shan.

As she passed by the two guards, the two of them revealed disappointed looks as they looked at her figure.

Second Young Master Shan suddenly turned and said with a smile, "If you feel disappointed, I’ll find some time to send her to you for some fun later."

The eyes of the two guards lit up when they heard this.

But Second Young Master Shan didn’t care at all as he casually turned back around and started moving forward.
