Wasting Money to Become an Immortal-Chapter 287: Sell! Sell! Sell!
There was someone that ran over eventually.
This person came into the restaurant and then after looking around, he immediately came over to my side.
This was the lackey that I sent to go with Lin Li Zi, the one that helped her manage her businesses.
The one that I watched over the most carefully just in case he had any other ideas towards my little sister.
"Young master, what are you doing here?" Wang Fu immediately bowed his head to me as he said this.
He seemed very polite with the way that he acted, but it seemed like he was afraid of something.
This was similar to the way that the manager had acted earlier.
It was as if both of them were afraid of something being used to punish them and it seemed like it was related to me.
I saw Wang Fu quite often, so I didn’t think that there was anything that he should be afraid of when it came to me...Well, at least there wasn’t anything that he should be afraid of regarding me arriving in the city.
If he laid a finger on my little sister, that was a completely different story.
So I was confused why he was acting the same way as the manager.
I calmly patted him on the shoulder and said, "I’m just here to do some shopping, there’s no need to be this tense."
I could see Wang Fu giving a sigh just like the manager had done before he said, "Then young master, is there anything that you want to see in particular? If there’s anything you want, then I’ll arrange for you to be taken there right away."
I shook my head as I said, "Not really, I’m just here for a bit of street shopping. If there’s anything that I like, then I’ll buy it."
Wang Fu gave a nod in response, but he didn’t get the chance to say something as someone suddenly came forward to speak.
"Hey, Young Master Lin, if you’re looking for something to buy, I have something for you."
Wang Fu immediately knitted his brows when he heard this and he planned on getting someone to deal with this person, but I stopped him by raising my hand.
I turned to look at this person who seemed to be some kind of merchant based on his clothes. He didn’t seem to be that poor with how expensive his clothes were, but it was clear that he wasn’t a top grade merchant either.
It wasn’t his clothes that exposed him, but rather his aura.
He just didn’t have the aura that a top tier merchant would have.
After looking at him for a bit, I said, "What is it that you have for me?"
The eyes of this merchant lit up when he heard this before he came forward with a piece of paper.
This piece of paper didn’t seem that special and it turned out that it wasn’t.
It was just the deed for some building that I didn’t know of.
Once he came forward with this deed, the merchant said, "Young Master Lin, I heard that you were interested in buying stores before. I would like to offer you my store. I promise that I’ll sell it to you for a very cheap..."
He didn’t get a chance to finish his words as other people interrupted him.
"Young Master Lin, don’t listen to him!"
"That’s right! He’s just trying to scam you!"
"His land is in the middle of nowhere and it’s costing him so much money each month that he can’t afford to keep it anymore!"
The expression on the face of the merchant twisted when he heard this.
He turned back to look at the ones who spoke.
I also looked in that direction along with this merchant and found that there were several other people that were dressed as merchants standing there.
All of them seemed to be pointing their hands at the merchant and accusing him of different things, but the one thing that they had in general was that they were saying that he was trying to cheat me.
I had already guessed that was the case when I saw that it was a land deed that the merchant was trying to sell to me.
While they were still arguing with each other, Wang Fu leaned in to explain.
"The young miss has made sure that the young master’s fame has spread all over the city. As the young master can see from the painting above the door to this restaurant, the young master’s name and image has been spread from all of our stores. The young miss has made sure that no one would be foolish enough to pick a fight with the young master in this city."
Then after a pause, Wang Fu added, "As for why they are trying to sell you their useless land...Well, they knew about the young master buying up all the stores that the young miss is currently managing. Even if it was done anonymously, there are some rich people that managed to figure it out from the paper trail. As such, they think that the young miss is the genius merchant that has pulled all of these stores out of bankruptcy while the young master is the genius prodigal who only knows how to waste money."
A faint smile appeared on my lips when I heard this.
This was exactly the reputation that I wanted to spread.
Knowing that it was spreading on its own even without me doing anything made me quite happy.
As such, I felt like I should act in a manner that was fitting of being a genius prodigal.
While the merchants were still arguing, I suddenly raised my hand and snapped my finger which made them fall silent and drew their attention back to me.
But that wasn’t the important thing.
The important thing was that Gao Fu Shuai ran over with the same bag as usual when I gave that snap.
He recognized that this was the way that I acted when I wanted to waste money.
