Wasting Money to Become an Immortal-Chapter 263: Four Kings (2)
The moment that I saw the Four Kings, I thought to myself...
"Ah, these four are definitely the rulers of this place."
These four were the perfect representation of what the Four Kings should be, right down the aura that they released.
This was pressure that I hadn’t felt since I had been attacked by Mu Bao Bao.
There was no doubt that they were as powerful as her, but I just couldn’t understand why there were these powerful spirit beasts here in the first place. After all, Mu Bao Bao was already in the Rebirth Realm and was only a step away from reaching the Transcendence Realm, which was the peak of this world.
The senior brothers and sisters had explained to me before that this Myriad Beast Valley was nothing more than a small place where spirit beasts gathered.
It was a place that was used as a training area for many sects, whether they were big or small since the spirit beasts weren’t that strong.
In the past, the strongest spirit beasts to appear in this place were only in the Nascent Soul Realm and that was at the very depths of the Myriad Beast Valley.
There were no signs of these Four Kings previously.
So where had they hid themselves before and why were they suddenly making themselves known all of a sudden like this?
There were too many things that just didn’t add up...
It didn’t seem like there was anything to gain from these Four Kings to show themselves like this.
But the even stranger thing was that they were standing there right in the center of the forest without moving. All four of them were just standing there in the same area as if they were standing around something.
It didn’t seem like any of the four kings were planning on moving, even though they could see that there were other spirit beasts that were surrounding them.
It was clear that they didn’t have any fear of the spirit beasts that were surrounding them.
The way that they released their aura was almost as if they were challenging the spirit beasts that appeared to attack them.
However, there wasn’t a single spirit beast that did a thing.
The same was said about all of the humans who had followed the spirit beasts to this place.
All of them could feel the aura that came from the Four Kings, so they knew that there was no way that they would be able to do anything to the Four Kings.
As such, there was a tense atmosphere that filled this place.
Everyone seemed like they didn’t know what to do regarding this situation, which was why they were all waiting and seeing what would happen.
That included our group.
While Liu Ao Xue and the senior brothers and sisters were taking some time to explain what happened to the ones that had just arrived, I took this chance to take a closer look at the Four Kings.
The Four Kings that ruled over this place were four different spirit beasts that were far stronger than any other spirit beast that lived in this Myriad Beast Valley.
They were four different kinds of spirit beasts, so all of them were a different species.
Though judging by the aura that they released, it didn’t seem like any of them was inferior to each other. In terms of power, it seemed that they were all equal to one another.
That was why they were known as the Four Kings instead of just as the ruler of this place.
After all, it wasn’t as if one of them could attack without being ganged up on by the other three.
Though looking at the calm way that they stood, it didn’t seem like there were any grudges between the four of them in the first place.
The first king was a little bunny.
This was a little bunny just like Xiao Bai, but unlike Xiao Bai, its fur was completely black. At the same time, it had these terrifying gold eyes that seemed like they could stare right into one’s soul.
But even with the power that it possessed, this bunny was around the same size as Xiao Bai.
The second king was a large tortoise that was as big as a car.
This tortoise was completely covered in flames which was strange since tortoises were supposed to be creatures that needed water to hydrate and regulate their body temperature.
With the flames that were around it, it seemed like this would make it hard for this tortoise to get any water.
The third king was a large eagle that was covered in electricity.
This was one that actually fit the title of king since eagles could be considered the king of birds.
This was especially true considering the size of this eagle.
It had a wingspan that was more than three times my height, which was a testament of just how large this eagle was.
The fourth king was a lynx that seemed to have patches of ice around it.
The ice that was attached to its fur also made sense since lynxes were creatures that lived in boreal forests with cold winters in the first place.
They were a kind of beast that one just associated with coldness.
These four were the Four Kings of this Myriad Beast Valley and they were just standing there.
It didn’t seem like they had a single care in the world.
Once Liu Ao Xue finished explaining the situation to the others, she looked at me and asked, "Well? What can you see?"
She could tell that I had been staring at the Four Kings the entire time, so she wanted to know what I was thinking.
I didn’t answer right away as I kept staring at the Four Kings, but then I shook my head and a bitter smile crept onto my face.
"I don’t..."
"Crack."
Before I could finish this sentence, the ground around us suddenly had cracks appearing in them.
