As we followed the spirit beasts deeper into the Myriad Beast Valley, we soon found that the concentration of spiritual energy around us was getting thicker.
It was clear that there was something in the center of this Myriad Beast Valley that was releasing these intense waves of spiritual energy.
If I had to guess what it was, it was very likely ’that’ that they referred to.
Though what it was was anyone’s guess.
As we went deeper, we found that we weren’t the only ones that were following the spirit beasts.
There were other spirit beasts that came from other directions, all seemingly heading into the depths of the Myriad Beast Valley. It seemed like they were all gathering together to compete for whatever was releasing that spiritual energy.
However, it seemed like they weren’t willing to fight each other.
When the other groups bumped into the group of spirit beasts that we were following, they just glared at each other for a bit before continuing forward. It was as if they recognized that they were all heading to the same place, so they weren’t planning to fight.
Even though technically, they should have been competing for the same thing.
As for the reason...
Well, Mu Bao Bao helped us translate, so we were able to find out what the reason was.
"No fighting each other until we take care of the ’Four Kings’?"
That was what they said to each other before agreeing to go forward together.
It seemed that the threat that these Four Kings posed was so great that they gave up all of their pride and all thoughts of fighting each other.
It really was a testament to the threat that the Four Kings posed.
At the same time, it really was a testament to the power of the Four Kings.
Seeing the spirit beasts act this way, I really couldn’t help feeling more interested in the Four Kings.
However, it wasn’t just other spirit beasts that we saw.
There were also other humans that were following behind the spirit beasts.
There were rogue cultivators, mercenary groups, and groups that seemed to be from other sects that were all following the spirit beasts. However, it didn’t seem like any other group was going to approach us like the other mercenaries were.
It seemed that everyone was keeping to their own business...
Or at least that was what it seemed until another group came over to our group.
This was a group that we were familiar with since...
We were all from the same sect.
It was another group of senior brothers and sisters from the Star Peak Sect.
It wasn’t just a single group of senior brothers and sisters, there were several groups of senior brothers and sisters that came over to our group.
It was almost all of the senior brothers and sisters that came into the Myriad Beast Valley.
There were just a few that were missing.
"Where are the others?" Liu Ao Xue asked when she saw these senior brothers and sisters.
They were confused why she was asking this, but they shook their heads to show that they didn’t know.
Liu Ao Xue told them the story of Senior Brother Yue’s group.
When she was done, the other senior brothers and sisters knitted their brows.
They hadn’t encountered anything similar, but since something had happened to one of the groups that their sect sent into this Myriad Beast Valley, there was the chance that it might happen to another group.
It might even be likely that the ones that weren’t here had something happen to them...

Before the senior brother could finish what he was saying, I said, "There’s no need for you to worry about them."
Everyone looked at me with shocked looks when they heard this before narrowing their eyes to look at me with doubt.
It was clear that they wanted me to explain what I meant by this.

As for the colour of their dots, they were green to show that they were friendly.
The others that were also following spirit beasts were blue to show that they were neutral.
This really was just like a minimap from an online game with the way that it showed all these different dots.
But the one problem was...
There were some rather large red dots that were in front of us.
These red dots were much larger than any of the red dots that were used to represent the spirit beasts that we were following.
Did this mean that they were simply bigger than them or did it mean that they were more powerful?
After grouping up with the rest of the senior brothers and sisters, we reached the center of the Myriad Beast Valley. When we did, I learned the reason why the red dots were much bigger than the ones that we were following.
At the same time, I learned why they were known as the Four Kings.
