Since the blood puppet was dealt with, there was no need to leave these corpses behind.

The only reason that I had left them behind before was because I had wanted to bait out the blood puppet. That was why I had left them even though everyone had all those good reasons why I should burn them.

So this time I followed their suggestion and burned all of the bodies.

Or at least Mu Bao Bao did with her pink flames.

I could have burned them, but there was no telling if there would be another thing hiding among the corpses. So just to be sure, I had Mu Bao Bao burn them since her flames were stronger than mine.

They would be able to burn anything that my flames couldn’t burn.

But there was one thing that I did take note of.

There was a distinct lack of spirit beasts that came to check on the corpses.

There should have been at least a few that came over as they would be drawn by the scent of blood, but there wasn’t a single one that came to the area where the corpses were.

In the end, I just forgot about it as I just assumed that it was the work of the blood puppet.

It must have done something to keep the spirit beasts away so that they wouldn’t expose it.

Once we finished burning the corpses, we didn’t leave the senior brothers and sisters alone. We all started heading deeper into the Myriad Beast Valley together since there was no telling what was waiting for us.

There was now a Blood Puppet Sect to consider and there might even be other demonic sects to worry about since there was no telling who was in this place.

In this situation where we couldn’t leave yet since we were still in the middle of the training session, it was best to stay together like this.

Not that it mattered to me in the first place since I didn’t have any expectations of this training session in the first place.

The only reason that I came was because of the system’s mission and the only reason I didn’t go with anyone before was because there was no need for me to do so.

That just caused it to have a look like it had been betrayed as it looked at me, but I still ignored it.

The funny thing was that Mu Bao Bao had a look of schadenfreude on her face as she watched the little monkey suffer.

It seemed like she still remembered what the little monkey had done to her before and she was holding a grudge because of it.

Well, it didn’t matter to me since...

"Stop, there’s something happening in front of us." I said as I suddenly raised my hand.

Everyone stopped moving and looked at me with a confused look since there was no one that had sensed anything.

I didn’t sense anything as well, but there was something that was telling me that there was something in front of us.

It was something that the others wouldn’t be able to use.

There were these red dots that were on the minimap that was in the corner of my vision.

This minimap was a reward from the system for taking care of the blood puppet earlier.

It had suddenly forced this reward on me that I didn’t even know what to do with it, but I had to admit that it certainly was a useful reward.

It showed me all the different things that were around us, including these red dots that were in front of us.

I had already confirmed that these red dots were spirit beasts since I had seen spirit beasts passing by earlier that conformed with the location of the red dots on the minimap.

As such, I knew that this minimap was accurate.

After stopping everyone, I slowly had them move forward until we were right beside where the red dots were coming from.

There weren’t any signs of fighting coming from in front of us and it didn’t seem like there were any spiritual energy fluctuations coming, but I could tell that the spirit beasts were in front of us because of the minimap in the corner of my eyes.

So I had Liu Ao Xue put up an illusion array around us before moving forward again.

There were many looks of doubt that were cast in my direction, but I just insisted on doing this.

When we broke through the brush...

"What is this?" Everyone said in a soft shocked voice.

Even I couldn’t help being a bit surprised by the scene in front of me since I had never expected to see...this many spirit beasts.

I had expected some spirit beasts, but this was way more than the red dots that were on the minimap.

This was an abnormal amount of spirit beasts.

I quickly realized why the minimap hadn’t displayed the other spirit beasts.

It was because they weren’t qualified to be a threat.

They were followers of the spirit beasts that were gathered in the center which had shown up as red dots.

But that still didn’t explain why all of these spirit beasts were gathered here, especially bosses of large groups of spirit beasts like this.
