It was clear that he was afraid based on the way that his voice stuttered, but he had no choice but to act tough since he was the leader of their group.

I just calmly looked at them and asked, "Will you listen to what I say?"

Their group was completely taken aback when they heard this.

They looked at me like I was crazy, but they also didn’t let their guards down from their shock. At the very least, it seemed like they had been well trained that they didn’t let themselves be distracted that easily.

Still, that didn’t mean that I was going to let them escape.

They suddenly gave a nod to each other and then...went off in different directions.

It wasn’t that they were running away, but rather they were moving off in different directions in an attempt to surround me.

It was clear that they gave up on talking to me and were planning on using force to subdue me.

This was the decision that they came to after seeing me gather my law energy, so it wasn’t strange. After all, if someone were to come up to you with a weapon, it wasn’t as if you would just let them leave that easily.

So they completely surrounded me and looked like they were planning to use a pincer attack.

They wanted to divide my attention so that I wouldn’t be able to guard against all of their attacks.

There were five people in their group, which meant five attacks from five different directions.

It was just too bad that they weren’t strong enough to pose a threat to me.

These people were only in the Core Formation Realm after all.

Since they were in the same realm as me, it wasn’t as if they were able to harm me since I could cross realms and fight those that were in a whole major realm above me.

Their attacks didn’t present any threat to me.

I just casually raised my hand and there was a law energy barrier that formed around me.

Their attacks hit the law energy and then they were stopped in place.

The law energy that had been used was the energy that could be considered the counter to all of their attacks. They had used elemental energy to attack, so I used the law that was considered the opposite.

Such as for the leader’s flame attack, I used the water law to form a water barrier in front of him.

However, the law energy that I used wasn’t just used to negate their attacks.

They were also used to completely trap them.

The leader wanted to pull back after his flames were extinguished by the water laws, but he found that he wasn’t able to pull back his sword at all. It was as if it was stuck inside of something as he tried to pull it back.

Then before he could react, the water law suddenly came forward and trapped him in a cage of water.

The leader’s eyes widened in panic as he tried to break free of this cage of water laws, but he found that he couldn’t move at all. The water laws were just too strong for him and he wasn’t able to break free at all as it wrapped around him.

When it was over, he was just floating there in the bubble of water law.

I had at least left him a little bubble of air where his face was so that he wouldn’t drown, but other than that, the leader wasn’t able to move at all as he just floated there in space in that bubble of water law.

It was the same for the others as they were trapped in bubbles of other laws.

Once they had calmed down, I said to them, "Now, should we have a little talk?"

They were surprised to hear this, but then they became aggressive again.

The leader cursed out at me, "How is this a way of inviting someone to talk? Do you really have to use..."

Before he could finish, he felt a crisp slap come across his face.

The leader was completely stunned by this, but he still turned his head back to look at me who was standing in front of him. His eyes widened in shock as if he couldn’t believe that I would suddenly slap him like this.

Or rather, it was more that he was shocked by the smile that was on my face.

I just looked at him with the same smile as I said, "No talking unless you’re spoken to."

"What are you..."

*Slap*

There was another crisp slap that rang out as he tried to talk before he learned his lesson and closed his mouth.

I just shook my head with a sigh after this before saying, "It seems like I’ll have to teach you some manners first."

"Wait, no!"

"You said that we’ll talk, why are you..."

"Stop, stop, it hurts!"

There were more slaps that rang out, but this time it wasn’t just the leader that was slapped.

By the time that I was finished, their cheeks were completely swollen so it made it hard for them to talk, but I didn’t have a problem with that at all.

I waved my hand behind me and said, "You can come out now."

At that, my group came out from their hiding spot.
