Wasting Money to Become an Immortal-Chapter 198: Entrusted
In the end, it could only be considered Mu Huang’s fault for speaking.
If he didn’t say a thing and ruin the illusion, then Mu Bao Bao would have continued holding him like that.
However, the moment that he said something, Mu Bao Bao remembered who she was hugging.
That filled her with a strong sense of disgust which made her drop him immediately.
Then after dropping him on the ground, she came over to my side. Or rather, she came behind me and hid herself there without even looking at Mu Huang.
Seeing Mu Bao Bao act this way, Mu Huang looked like his world had completely collapsed.
It was as if the last thing that had been holding him back had shattered and he fell to the ground with a shocked look on his face. There didn’t seem to be any response from him as he laid there, almost as if he was dead.
However, I could see that he wasn’t dead since he was at least still breathing.
Though I did feel a bit sorry for him...even if it was his own fault that he drove his daughter to this point.
The other person who had been suppressed was Grandpa Bao, but that suppression had disappeared at the same time as Mu Huang.
It seemed like he had been spared the punishment as he still looked the same as before, but he was looking at Mu Huang on the ground with a strange look. After looking at Mu Huang for a bit, he slowly looked back up at Lin Fan who was just standing there with an awkward look on his face.
However, the way that he was looking at Lin Fan was completely different from before.
Now, he recognized him as the dangerous person that he was.
Someone that could even transform one of the emperor’s clones like this, or someone that commanded someone that could definitely wasn’t a normal person.
It was even possible that he was from another upper realm, which was why Mu Bao Bao had been attracted to him in the first place.
But if that was the case, this wasn’t a bad thing.
Grandpa Bao might have spoiled Mu Bao Bao, but that didn’t mean that he didn’t see things rationally.
He was like Elder Tian while Mu Huang was like Liu Han. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
He was the rational one while Mu Huang was the irrational one.
Letting Mu Bao Bao stay here with this young master from another upper realm wasn’t exactly a bad idea. After all, if they were to get close, this would be the chance to gain a reliable ally.
Especially one that could demonstrate this kind of power.
After looking at Lin Fan for a bit, Grandpa Bao came forward and grabbed Mu Huang off the ground. Holding him like that, Grandpa Bao turned to Lin Fan to say, "Please take care of our young miss for now. It’s clear that she isn’t ready to come home yet, so there’s no need for her to come home yet."
Mu Huang looked at Grandpa Bao in shock when he heard this before opening his mouth to say something, but he didn’t get to say anything as Grandpa Bao’s hand covered his mouth before he could.
Mu Huang struggled even though his mouth was covered, but he wasn’t able to do anything since he couldn’t gather his spiritual energy.
So even if he was trying to escape from Grandpa Bao’s hand, he wasn’t able to actually do anything.
Mu Bao Bao reacted completely differently when she heard this.
She looked at Grandpa Bao with a shocked look as well, but there was a hint of joy in her eyes as she asked, "Grandpa Bao, really? Can I really stay?"
Grandpa Bao gave a nod before saying, "Just behave yourself. There’s nothing in this lower realm that can harm you, so it’s not a bad idea to let you have a little vacation."
Then in a more serious voice, he said, "When the young master returns to the upper realm, you have to come back with him."
Mu Bao Bao quickly nodded in agreement to this since this was what she was already planning to do.
She naturally knew that Lin Fan wasn’t normal after seeing what happened to her father.
So she knew that he would go to the upper realm one day and she had already been planning to go with him.
What she didn’t know was that there was already a part of her that had become determined to follow Lin Fan to the end.
All of this was because of how he had taken care of her dad...
If Mu Huang were to learn of this, there was no doubt that he would collapse even more.
Seeing this, Grandpa Bao gave a satisfied nod before turning to me to say, "This young master, we’ll be entrusting our young miss to you for some time. I apologize for this and we’ll be sure to compensate you when you come to the upper realm."
There was an awkward look that was on my face hearing this, but I gave a simple nod in response.
There was a part of me that wanted to refuse the burden of having to care for Mu Bao Bao during this time, but there was another part of me that accepted this.
After all, there was nothing to lose from having this family from the upper realm owe me. Especially since they were the ones that ruled over an upper realm.
There was no doubt that this would help me in the future.
There was also a small part of me that accepted it because of the way that Mu Bao Bao ate.
With her appetite, there was no one better to help me waste the items from the daily store.
Grandpa Bao gave another satisfied nod after seeing this before floating up into the air as if he was about to fly into the sky.
However, before he could go too far...
He was suddenly bounced into the ground.
It was as if there was something in the air that had thrown him into the ground.
