Chapter 181: Why is it filled up already?

Another two days passed before we were finally able to make our way back to the Star Peak Sect.

Though we weren’t actually able to use the Transportation Array like I wanted to.

It was leaving behind a Transportation Array or destroying it and neither of those options were options that the two elders would accept, so we just had to fly back on the Great Elder’s flying artifact.

Though it was clear that he didn’t mind.

He even seemed happy about it, like he wanted to fly it some more.

I could tell that he was really happy with the flying artifact that I gave him, almost treating it like a kid would treat a new toy.

Still, he was the leader of our group and I didn’t want to argue with him.

He had been the one that had been busy keeping out all those people that had wanted to talk to me during these past two days. He had taken it upon himself to stop them from meeting me by personally standing guard at the door.

He did this because he felt guilty about what Shen Qing Feng did, so he wanted to make it up to me as his friend. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

In the end, that made me feel guilty as well, so I let the Great Elder drive his flying artifact.

It was just a few hours longer than using the Transport Array.

There was a large welcome party waiting for us when we arrived at the Star Peak Sect.

Everyone had gathered at the gate and came running over when they saw us.

The one that they surrounded was me to my surprise, since I thought that they would have surrounded Senior Brother Hua.

Senior Brother Hua didn’t seem surprised at all to see this and even stepped back to give me the position of honour.

I was very confused why they surrounded me like this and even went to pick me up to throw up into the air. That was until I heard what they were saying.

"Junior Brother Lin, we heard that you were the champion!"

"Yes, you even beat Leng Tuo, Jiang Qing Yu, and Jun Xiao to take the title!"

"There’s no one in our sect that can compare to you in alchemy!"

Both Elder Wang and Senior Brother Hua had awkward looks on their faces when they heard this, but neither of them went to refute this. Rather, there was even a look on their faces as if they agreed to this.

I just had an awkward look on my face since I wasn’t used to being treated like this.

So the only thing that I could ask was, "How did you know about this?"

All of them looked at me with a surprised look before one of them said, "Don’t you know? It’s being spread across the information network between the sects. There are so many people talking about your performance in the alchemy tournament."

The others nodded in agreement before looking at me with looks of admiration.

"How did you do it?"

"You have to teach us your alchemy techniques!"

"No, no, teach us your face slapping techniques!"

I just revealed an even more awkward look when I heard this, but there were a few things that I picked up because of what they said.

It seemed that there was some kind of information network between sects that spread news quickly, though it seemed more like some kind of gossip board than actual news.

So that was why they didn’t seem to have all the information.

It made sense since there were some things that were just too hard to believe to put into a story, so they must have left certain details out.

Such as...

"I didn’t win against them."

"Huh?" All of the disciples that were lifting me up looked at me with confused looks when they heard this.

I just simply said, "I forfeited."

"Huh?!" They were even more confused when they heard this.

On the side, the Great Elder, Elder Wang, and the senior disciples all had bitter looks on their faces before putting their faces in their hands.

The disciples all looked at the Great Elder as if they were confirming this and they were stunned when they saw the Great Elder nod in agreement.

While they were stunned, I chose to use this opportunity to get out of their grasps and fall to the ground. As soon as I was on the ground, I immediately ran off since I didn’t want to be the center of attention anymore.

After all that attention that I received during the alchemy tournament, I just wanted to spend some time staying lowkey.

So while they were all stunned, I ran off to my courtyard without making a sound.

Following behind me were my lackeys who knew what staying here meant for them.

It wasn’t the same for the Great Elder, Elder Wang, and the senior disciples.

They had no choice but to stay there and tell everyone what happened.

Once I came to my courtyard, I found that it was empty.

It seemed that my little sister was still off in the city running her business.

There was a trace of bitterness that filled me when I saw this.

It seemed that her business was more important to her than the return of her big brother.

It was like seeing a child grow up all of a sudden and leaving the nest.

Still, I was happy to see that she was happy doing what she was doing, so I didn’t force it.

Instead, I went to my room alone to check something.

There was a notification that appeared earlier, but I didn’t have the chance to take a look at it since I had been lifted off the ground.

The lackeys knew that I wanted to be alone, so they didn’t follow me.

When I opened up the system interface, I said in a shocked voice, "Why is it filled up already?"

In front of me, the map had turned completely red.
