Wasting Money to Become an Immortal-Chapter 180: Three birds with one stone
The elders who had been seriously injured by that voice had all slowly recovered and were about to leave.
But the moment that they heard what Lin Fan said, all of them had ugly looks on their faces.
After all, this was clearly a comment that was aimed at them.
However, it wasn’t as if they could do anything to Lin Fan.
If they could have done something to him, they wouldn’t have ended up like this.
The only thing that they could do was...
All of them looked at Leng Bu Ping for help.
He was the leader of the Central Sect Alliance and if there was anything that involved a sect being suppressed, he was the one that they could turn to for help.
However, they found that he wasn’t looking at them at all.
He was even looking away from them as if he was trying to avoid getting caught up in this mess.
In a way, that was his response.
He wasn’t willing to help them, even if they were members of the Central Sect Alliance.
It wasn’t just these elders who had tried to restrain Lin Fan who saw this, the others from the other sects also saw this and they were very interested in this. After all, if the Central Sect Alliance wasn’t going to get involved in this matter...
Then it was a chance for them!
The Central Sect Alliance was the main thing that stopped sects from attacking other sects since it was an alliance of powerful sects that would help each other. The moment that one sect attacked another sect, there would be many different sects that would come to their rescue.
That was what sects signed up for when they joined the Central Sect Alliance.
Though on the surface, it was said that they worked together for the prosperity of this world and to make the world a better place for all.
If these sects had been abandoned by the Central Sect Alliance and there was even a reward offered to destroy these sects, then it was double the enticement for them.
There was no reason for them not to take this chance given to them.
The elders that were the targets knew that this was the case, so there was only one thing that they could do now.
There was only one reason why they were in this situation in the first place.
It was the result of their own greed.
However, they chose not to remember this and wanted to ask for forgiveness even though it was completely their own fault.
It was just too bad for them that the person that they should be asking for forgiveness from wasn’t in the mood to listen to them.
Seeing that everyone understood what I meant by these words and seeing that these elders were turning to me for help, I just turned around and walked off with a snort.
There was no reason for me to show them any mercy since they hadn’t shown me any mercy.
If it wasn’t for my system, there was no doubt that I would have ended up in their hands.
Though if one thought about it...it was because of the system’s interference that they had felt this greed in the first place. It was all because of the system forcing me to take part and try to win this tournament that all of that had happened.
If it wasn’t for the system, then they might not have felt this greed in the first place.
Still, it wasn’t as if this greed didn’t exist inside of them.
It would have eventually come out in one way or another, so something similar to this would have happened sooner or later.
It was better to take care of these problems sooner than later.
This was just the kind of world this cultivation world was, so there was no real need for me to feel guilty.
Not to mention, I was actually feeling quite good since I had been able to kill three birds with one stone like this. It really was the model of efficiency how I had turned all of them against each other like this.
First, there were the prodigal points that came from giving out all those tips.
Anything that I did, I would never miss out on the chance to gain more prodigal points.
Second, there was the reputation that would be gained because of all of this.
With everything that I had done, there was no way that my reputation wouldn’t increase.
Though it would only be among the sects, it still was quite a bit of reputation since there were many different sects that would be here. If it filled up 10% of my main mission completion bar, I would be satisfied with all of this.
Thirdly and lastly, it would mean that I would be able to get my revenge on those people that tried to steal the Immortal Pill from me.
I wouldn’t have to do a thing, I just had to offer money for others to do it for me.
Sometimes, using a borrowed knife really was the best way to do things.
Not to mention that this borrowed knife was the strongest in the world, the Central Sect Alliance.
It was an alliance that was made up of the strongest sects in the world.
As long as they were willing to move, I didn’t believe that there was anything that they wouldn’t be able to take care of in this world.
When I came back to the Star Peak Sect group, Yao Fu looked at me with a strange look before suddenly saying with a sigh, "Thank you."
I was surprised at first to hear him say this, but then I understood why he had said this.
It was regarding Shen Qing Feng.
After all, Shen Qing Feng was an old friend of his.
That was also one of the reasons why I had spared him in the first place.
Well other than the fact that he didn’t have any hostility towards me in the first place.
His intentions were different from the others that were just filled with greed.
I just gave a nod without saying anything in response.
Yao Fu gave me a nod in return without saying anything else.
