Warhammer Divine Throne-Chapter 762 - 337, Lilith’s Banquet_3
Tygris was evidently aware of Alaros's longing for the Lake Fairy. The tales of this Wood Elf hero strolling through the woods on every new moon night, yearning for another glimpse of the Goddess's beautiful visage, had even reached Ossuan.
Tygris was indifferent to whether anything would happen between Lilith and Alaros; the Supreme Grandmaster's mind was solely focused on how to enlist Alaros and the Wood Elf elite army handed over to him by Wood Elf Queen Airel. The Order Alliance needed such a formidable army.
The Lake Fairy clearly understood Tygris's intentions, and she was filled with mixed emotions. Tygris was such a person who could resort to any means to achieve his goals.
Laine's face, with a seemingly amused expression, further annoyed the Lake Fairy. She glared at Laine and also at the Dark Elf who was mockingly staring at her.
The candlelit banquet ended with joy for both host and guest.
A grand evening feast concluded in this manner. The Lake Fairy did not comment on the matter of Alaros, only stating that when Laine's wedding occurred, the Wood Elves would likely send the Female Prophet Lifer and Alaros to attend, at which point it would be addressed.
......
By the time they left the Lake Fairy Tower, it was already late at night. Laine and Mogiana saw Tygris off from the castle: "So, during this period, please trouble yourself with guiding my two female courtiers in Magic. They are named Teresa Trovik and Veronica Bernadotte, currently residing in the Dawn Wizard Tower."
"Hm, I have no problem teaching, but the issue is how much they can learn." Tygris resumed his unperturbed manner: "The most advanced magic techniques among humans are merely the basics mastered by the Asur."
Upon leaving the Lake Fairy Tower, Laine immediately seized the opportunity to fervently request that Tygris instruct the two Jialan Witches in Magic. The High Elf Supreme Grandmaster readily agreed, expressing that he would dedicate time to guide Teresa and Veronica in magic, and would also conduct classes for the witch apprentices.
"I'm extremely grateful for this." This was a rare opportunity. Laine knew that both witches had sacrificed much to follow him to Brittania, and with Tygris present, he wanted to secure something beneficial for them.
"It's no trouble." Tygris propped himself on his Magic Staff and left directly.
Laine looked up at the black sky, shook his head, and returned to his castle. He suggested Mogiana go to the Prayer Room to rest first, while he spent considerable time dealing with a series of issues brought by this High Elf Army, then bathed with the help of a maid, preparing to rest.
The Count changed into his loose sleepwear and opened the master bedroom door. Unlike usual, Ollica had been kept behind by the Lake Fairy, seemingly because the Goddess had something to instruct Laine's Dark Elf Maid about. Ollica looked unwilling; the Dark Elf was originally planning to sleep with Laine tonight, as there was nothing more important to a Dark Elf.
The master bedroom was layered with thick Estalia carpets, crafted through Wood Elf craftsmanship. The walls were adorned with ornate tapestries and landscape paintings, the Holy Grail Shield Emblem, family crests; the indoor air conditioning was on, several silver candlesticks burning on one side of the room, illuminating the dim room with the soft glow of magic lamps, and the faint chirping of cicadas could be heard from outside.
It was a midsummer's night.
Living in a castle during such days was, in fact, quite a torturous affair. As previously mentioned, the primary consideration for a castle was its defensibility, followed by other attributes such as transportation and territorial control, while habitability was never a consideration. When Laine was in Nord, many royal capital nobles spent a majority of the year at their private residences built on the southern border near White Wolf City, only returning to the castle in winter for warmth through fire.
With the Magic provided by Teresa and the technology supplied by the Dwarves, the air conditioning significantly improved the comfort of the environment.
"Hm?" Laine immediately noticed something different in the room, for a pair of white fish-mouth high heels had been left at the door.
He knew who the owner of these high heels was.
Slightly raising his head, the first thing that caught Laine's eyes were a pair of jade feet wrapped in white silk stockings under a marble-like silky nightgown. The dainty feet, painted with red nail polish, gently swayed. The owner of those stockinged feet sat on Laine's bed, her head adorned with a floral crown, golden hair cascading down, and Mogiana spoke with a cool voice, though her gaze was fiery: "Shall I accompany you tonight? Surprised?"
"Not really surprised," Laine shrugged with a smile: "I thought you would come because Ollica isn't here."
"Just took a bath... there's something I want to talk over with you privately..."
