Wanting to Surpass the MC with the Greatest Harem.-Chapter 59: System Training (2)
[Ding! Alpha Lekar Defeated. +1000 EXP] [Ding! Quest Update: Survived first wave. Preparing second wave...]
Dominic lay on the ground, gasping.
"Second wave?" he whispered. "Are you damn serious..?"
The sky thundered with violent thunder and lightning. The sky cracked visibly and the sky coloured yelow.
More shadows appeared on the ridge. His eyes widened in shock and dismay. He felt hollow as he had no strength or energy left in him.
"This system is damn freaking kidding me! A second wave?" Dominic muttered in dismay. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
The winds howled through the twisted, shadow-laced terrain as Dominic dragged his feet through pools of blood—his own and the Lekars’. His breath came in ragged, uneven gasps.
"Holy hell. I can’t believe this! I really can’t face then again! That would be hell! This system I damn broken!" Dominic cursed as he struggled to his feet.
The first wave had taken everything from him: his stamina, his composure, his mental clarity. And still, the second wave came.
There was no warning, no time to brace.
A bone-shaking screech erupted from the far end of the jagged cliffside. The darkness split open, and from it emerged a host of new Lekars. Unlike the first wave, these were faster, leaner, and far more coordinated. Their bodies shimmered with jagged obsidian scales, and their faces twisted into monstrous masks of rage. These were second-generation Lekars—evolved, refined, and bred for annihilation.
Dominic raised his hand weakly, summoning a lingering spark of shadow magic, but his arm trembled. His massacre domain had already depleted his energy. He was working off sheer survival instinct now.
"[System Alert: Incoming Threat Detected — 2nd Wave of Lekars. Estimated Count: 40. Estimated Survival Chance: 11%. Activating Adaptive Reflex Module. Uploading battle data...]
"You’ve gotta be kidding me," Dominic muttered, coughing blood. "Forty more?"
They didn’t wait.
The first of the evolved Lekars lunged at him like a bullet, its claws shimmering with acidic venom. Dominic barely managed to duck and roll, but the second pounced. It caught his shoulder and slashed through his armor, drawing blood.
He screamed in pain, flipping backward and summoning a wall of shadows to block the next incoming strike. The wall cracked instantly as another Lekar bulldozed through it with brute force.
Dominic dashed through the debris, his legs crying for rest. He summoned his shadow blade and cleaved upward, slicing through one of the monsters, but two more replaced it instantly. They were relentless.
He activated his Shadow Step and vanished from sight, reappearing above the horde, where he dropped with a spinning vertical slash. Several were split in half, but he landed roughly, rolling through the gravel.
"[Stamina critical. Blood loss: moderate to high. Recommend disengagement. Evacuation unavailable until second wave neutralized.]
"Shut up and let me think!"
Dominic knew he wouldn’t survive by brute force. He needed to outwit them.
He sprinted towards a steep ridge nearby. The Lekars gave chase, crawling on all fours like beasts, snarling and howling. Dominic turned at the edge, eyes flashing with dark energy, and slammed his hand to the ground.
"Shadow Maelstrom!"
A swirling vortex of shadow erupted around him, pulling in the incoming monsters. The weaker ones were shredded immediately, their howls swallowed by the wind. But the stronger Lekars dug their claws into the earth and pulled themselves free.
One leapt out of the vortex with a war cry and tackled Dominic midair, slamming him into the ground. Dominic coughed hard, his vision blurring.
"[Vital signs dropping. Initiating emergency adrenaline spike.]
His body burned as the system injected a jolt into his veins. Just enough.
With a desperate cry, Dominic surged forward and rammed his shadow blade into the monster’s chest, twisting it violently. The beast roared and collapsed.
But there were still more.
They circled him now, growling like wolves ready for the final strike. Blood dripped from his mouth. He could barely stay standing.
Then the biggest of them stepped forward.
A monstrous Lekar—twice as tall, bearing four arms and red, glowing eyes—snarled at him.
"Alpha..." Dominic murmured.
The Alpha howled and charged. Dominic knew this was it. He forced his battered body to move and dashed under the swing of the Alpha’s claws, then launched himself into the air. The Alpha swiped, catching his leg, and Dominic spun out of control midair before crashing into the cliff wall.
He gritted his teeth. Bones cracked. Blood smeared the rocks.
The Alpha pounded toward him.
Dominic activated everything he had left.
His aura surged. His vision turned black and red. The massacre domain re-activated, not with control, but desperation. Shadow flames surrounded him like wings.
He rocketed forward, a blur of black light.
He clashed with the Alpha mid-charge, slamming his blade into the beast’s shoulder. It roared and struck him across the chest, sending him spinning. He caught himself mid-spin and slashed across its torso.
They exchanged blows—brutal, devastating, bone-cracking. Dominic’s sword eventually broke. He didn’t stop.
He summoned two new blades from the shadows and stabbed both into the Alpha’s neck, then kicked off its chest and slammed into the ground, panting.
The Alpha staggered...and fell.
Dominic collapsed beside the corpse.
Silence.
Then—
"[Wave Cleared. Initiating Emergency Evacuation Protocol...]
"About time..."
A swirling blue vortex opened beneath him. The battlefield dissolved in a storm of shadows and wind. Dominic’s battered body was lifted off the ground, sucked into the portal.
Everything went black.

NB//. Please I will continue this story after noticing improvement in my story. Please don’t be annoyed. I haven’t received a single golden ticket or gift. Its not something to be proud of. To be very precise I did not do well in this book. I couldn’t even reach Cheering Reads because I had few paying readers . I wish we can correct this in my new books.
Please once again, I do not hope to cause a disruption here but if I notice that readers are willing, I would go on with it. Thanks for reading this....
