Villains Act Shamelessly: The Heiress was the Great National Master!-Chapter 27: You Don’t Like Aurora?
Thea Shaw was alone in the room when Mrs. Sutton came up shortly after.
Mrs. Sutton looked worried: "Thea, you should be a bit careful these days. If Levi Blair contacts you, try to be polite. I’m not trying to force you, but Levi Blair is Warren Ford’s son, the younger brother of the Ford Family heir who just visited. Though he’s an illegitimate child, our family isn’t afraid to offend him, but we should still give him some face."
Before Levi Blair caused any trouble, it wasn’t necessary to completely fall out with him.
Saying this, Mrs. Sutton became even more worried: "Levi Blair’s situation is easier to manage, but Landon Ford, we have business dealings with the Ford Family, but it’s not necessary to flock to him. His visit was quite sudden, just be politely courteous if you meet him."
Mentioning Landon Ford now, Thea Shaw couldn’t help but think of the man’s photos.
He looked decent while chatting with Mr. Sutton. Does the Ford Family know how unrestrained he is privately?
On the surface, Thea Shaw still maintained her pure and well-behaved fairy-like appearance: "I understand."
Thea Shaw’s personality has completely changed from back then; she knows exactly what to do now.
Mrs. Sutton looked at Thea Shaw in front of her, her fingertips slightly trembling, and couldn’t help but brush the hair falling by Thea’s ear, an affectionate and natural gesture.
Mrs. Sutton said: "If it weren’t for our accidental check... you’ve suffered these twenty years outside, and it’s always our fault."
Thea Shaw said: "It wasn’t really suffering. My foster mother treated me very well."
Thea Shaw wasn’t lacking in food or clothing, she just hadn’t returned to the Sutton Family to receive everything she should as Miss Sutton.
"That’s different." Mrs. Sutton sighed slightly, worrying that mentioning more might upset Thea, so she prepared to change the topic, but unexpectedly, Thea suddenly asked: "Have Aurora’s biological parents been found?"
This matter is quite peculiar.
When Mrs. Sutton gave birth to Thea, she chose a major hospital, where each child had a unique identification. To swap children within a hospital was nearly impossible without insider assistance.
Yet, Thea was directly abandoned, and only grew up safely after being picked up by her foster mother.
The true identities of Aurora Sutton’s parents remain undisclosed to Thea by Mr. and Mrs. Sutton.
Thea’s abrupt crossing back then didn’t make her consider the aftermath.
While she’s indifferent about certain things now, it doesn’t mean she will allow a mistake to persist.
Mrs. Sutton couldn’t help but furrow her brows, eventually deciding not to hide the truth from Thea, and said: "Your dad sent people to investigate this matter, but we couldn’t find any information at the hospital. Aurora’s birth records seem to have been deliberately erased. We found a nurse involved in the matter back then, but that nurse has emigrated."
Everything was arranged too neatly, and with Mr. Sutton’s business instincts, he feels there’s a big problem here.
Only someone extraordinary could manage to erase birth records and arrange for a nurse to emigrate.
The hospital is aware of the situation now; Mr. Sutton is a rising star in Aethelgard, and the hospital can’t afford to offend him. They’re afraid that if the matter is exposed, their reputation would be completely ruined and have assured Mr. Sutton they will thoroughly investigate the matter.
However, given how long ago it happened, it will probably take some time.
Thea Shaw nodded. Mrs. Sutton, seeing her calm demeanor, still couldn’t help but ask, "Do you dislike Aurora?"
